Guild Services Prices Inside

Thargor
wow.
Prices seem ALOT too steep for something you can just go to town and get the same service for free. Going off what the description in the pic says it looks like the storage is just access to your regular storage and not a guild storage. looks like a pretty worthless waste of money from the first impression. I guess time will tell if there is really any use for any of the services.

Total cost: 480 Plat. I unlocked all of the non 50/100 plat ones, so for 80k we got 5 NPC's.... And there is *no* guild storage there. :-(

Just another gold sink imo, and a good one...

Prices are a bit steep. But on the plus side it will be easier to move my mules to the guild hall for the storage.
Lady Erighan
When you have at least 10+ people in your guild, those prices don't seem too high. I really am happy they added this feature in. Thanks Anet!
Wyldie
Our guild is full, so 5K per gets us everything - not a bad price to pay. Smaller guilds will think otherwise though I bet.
pixel.summoner
Concidering the idea of a guild is a 'group' effort.. unless everyone's stingy/selfish, these prices aren't that bad at all.
Hell my tiny guild could get most of those options right now. First however, we're going to change halls, because some of the new Canthan ones are just... oh..... *drool*
Thanks a bunch for the screenie, this helps
Prices may vary, or maybe they're fixed.. either way, a group effort can tackle those in a heartbeat.

ok so can someone tell me if its guild storage or just my personal storage?
i mean is it extra storage space or am i just moving a xunlai agent and my personal storage chest into my guild hall?
because if it isnt extra storage i dont see the point

second reply in this thread states that it is not "guild storage"
EndoftheSyringe
The point of all of it just seems like a gold sink. What do people do with 1 million gold just laying around and nothing else to buy... I think it's a damn good sink, and if I ever come to the situation where I have the money to do such, I'm going to buy them all!

another question
DO THESE GUILD TRADERS GIVE YOU A BETTER PRICE = LIKE IN FACTION CONTROLLED TOWNS?!
-nothing crazy, like 5, 10% or something.
THAT WOULD BE SWEET AND AT LEAST YOU GET "SOMETHING" A LITTLE EXTRA FOR THE EXPENSE!

Erm, I think the prices are meant to be shared. If your Guild has 100 people in it, they all give 1k to the leader so he can then buy a material trader etc.

Great question - my first guess would be no though. I thought I was wrong once, but I was only mistaken.
hobbitshd
jmj - my question is more along the lines of this.
our guild pays 100k for rare material
prices in droks, la, etc.. is 7.5k to buy and 5.5k to sell
since we spent 100k, is ours going to be 7k and 6k? or is there really no point in this because nobody buys/sells the good stuff (ecto/ruby/shard.etc) at the trader?

the second post was a little ambiguous so i wanted clarification. if it is personal storage my money will be staying where it is... im not wasting money on any of these as they just arent worth it. unless you get some kind of benefit from them why would i travel to my guild hall to use them?
hobbitshd
lord cooper - that is my point = WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF SPENDING 110K ON RARE MATERIAL TRADER?
there is NO EXTRA STORAGE yet.
there is only a typical xunlai agent from what i understand.

i agree it really doesnt make sense.. why would you have traders in your guild hall?? you dont get drops during GvG so what is the point in spending money on them.
i would only consider it worth the expense if you got some kind of discounted price or other benefit from having them.
as it stands its a useless update imo

i dont understand your point? if im doing GvG or testing builds or 1v1 or whatever why would i need to visit any traders or storage?
EternalTempest
1st upgrade will be Xunlai Agent most likely for ours. Hay I have this spare X item, let me run to storage to get it
It will allow pvp only character to get access to lot of PvE stuff too.

yes but for 10k how often will u do that???
me ill just hop on the boat to lions arch and get it nearly as quick and totally free

It just makes it more convenient, instead of map traveling about. It acts as a gold sink at the same time and makes the Guild Halls more interactive which in my opinion is about time.
Mr_T_bot
Only the skill trader or storage agent is worth it, but without guild storage this is still pretty lame.
hobbitshd
agree - skill trainer would be nice BUT if i am a level 3 monk/rit, can i unlock ALL SKILLS, like at dakk?
cant get to him until the end of the game. you have to search for specific skills during quests/outposts.
will the skill trader have all skills - that would be WELL WORTH IT! but maybe a little unfair

My question is: I'm about to change my guild hall, and probably someday i'll change it again. If I hire those NPC in my actual Guild Hall will they come with me to the new one? or shoul I pay again?

-A feature is requested by the community (in this case: NPCs in guild hall)
-The feature finally gets implemented
-Complaining ensues
Anyone else get a strange déjà vu? Anyway, the prices are not too high considering halls are mostly used by bigger guilds, so the expenses can be divided amongst the members. Also, convenience items shouldn't IMO be too cheap anyway.

Anyone can answer to my previous question?
Here comes another one: where 1 vs 1 arena is?

Not sure about the changing of guild halls, but i wouldnt have thought they would take the NPCs you have brought

I read somewhere that the NPCs you have bought for your guild will transfer with you if you change your guild hall.
I feel the most useful NPCs are storage and Priest of Balthazar. Many times after a GvG match, I reach the cap of faction points but can't spend them before we go in next match. Now I can just spend some points in guild hall quickly between matches. Good job, Anet!

i was just wondering about the function of the traders - NOT COMPLAINING
is there any advantage to having this in the guild hall - except convenience.
i think it is a great idea - if there is some sort of advantage of having your guild pay 100k for the rare material trader (for example)

Well, they could scale the prices based on how many people are in your guild at the time you purchase the NPCs and then Scale the price for adding new members to the Guild based on how many NPCs you have at your guild hall.
That way if you have a small guild and you plan on staying small, you could still get the NPCs for a reasonable price.

When my Guild can afford them - we'll be getting them all!
The material traders are good for price checks before hitting LA or Drok's to sell stuff without the endless spamming on the "All" channel!
I think I will also be going to the Guild Hall after missions/quests to deal with the merchant in the Hall instead of in the outposts.
Plus it will keep the 4 henchmen company in the Hall. They can get a game of cards or something going.
