A guildmate of mine was in Kaigeng Centre with Gaile Gray today and asked her about the skill "Assassin's Promise". So far no-one found it apparently or they just didn't post it for some reason. Gaile Gray said that a Programmer confirmed that the skill is somewhere in the game. So if someone finds it, plz post. I believe I ran through the area's too often now. 1,5 week ago I allready had 175 elites and now 2 days long 179. And I'm starting to get annoyed with not being able to find it.

I agree, it's becoming very frustrating not being able to find Assassin's Promise. I'm wondering if only a specific quest triggers the supposed boss to spawn. Ever explorable area has definitely been checked, and nothing. I'll keep looking, but I'm getting close to giving up.

I wonder if this was in the game, like heal as one was. Where they thought they had added the boss but not the skill and had to slip the changes in after

Bosses deal 2x the damage by design in chapter 2. Since they are level 28 and has higher attributes than you can possibly reach, they will deal out more than 2x the damage than you can at 16 attribute level. Add to that the fact that bosses are accompanies by minions that also cast spells, it is real easy to go from full health to zero in a second when the damage packets all hit. Kunvie Firewing with the 3 other saltspray dragons is pretty wicked. There are some other elementalist and ritualist bosses that can wipe a party quickly too.

And yes I already posted that the mesmer boss was already killed by the oni boss, you here them fighting when you reach the path below where they are

Here's a bit of an update on the narrowing down of the location of Assassin's Promise. I spent today hunting in the southern parts of Echovald Forest: Morostav Trails, Mourning Veil Falls, The Eternal Grove(Explorable) and Drazach Thicket. And of course, nothing. I've now searched every nook and cranny of the Kurzick explorable areas (with no quests active), and still am unable to find any clues. My guess is that it's in some Mission or is activated by some quest. Hope this helps in the process of elimination. :/

Think i can exclude Xauqang Skyway. Difficult to say in those city but im to 90% sure it cant be found there.
Other areas like Drazach Thiket are mentioned before, so theres nothing more new.

Found another location for Beguiling Haze -
Morostov Trail northeast of Durheim Archives. Forgot the bosses name, but he's a popup close to where Sunreach Warmaker is. OrangeArrow
I think the devs might of gave the wrong bar to Defiant Anicent Sseer I spent an hour looking for him in the Palace Exploreable area hoping he was near the start since he was near the end of the mission. Not only was he way at the start he has the wrong elite! With a name like his you would think he would have Defiant was Xinrae which would match up with all the other boss elites (all the other bosses has same skills as bosses from thannkai temple) but nope he has Soul twisting.

I have yet to see a RELIABLE report of it in the PvE wild YES, I have it unlocked in PvP too but that dont count waaaaah! Titles WERE a cool idea... then this debacle happens.... grrrrrr Well Ive CLEANED out Drazach and Mountain Veil 3 Times (Just in case of a dodgy spawn) NO luck there... Thing is ... after the amount of negative press towards ANet recently I cant see them admitting "ooops that one slipped away from us". Anyhoo ... Be vewy vewy qwiet .... yes and people like you fail to see the good points of factions as do most people... *sigh* It seems for me 100% likely that this elite should be in the game for pve also. Just because you can't find it doesn't mean it isn't there.

saves re-doing sun jiang or going the kurzick territory to cap it from the construct. Also to note when you go explore the palace region after the mission you get your special skill from old dragon chops so have fun with that NazTH_F

It is supposed to be in Cantha, but has not yet been located. There haven't been as many people searching for it or desperate for it because of its presence in Tyria, but we haven't forgotten it.
For those of you who don't remember how long it took to find Feast of Corruption in Ch.1, keep in mind that sometimes the info can take a few weeks to get out there. We'll find it...

ok ok.. i will try and search for this skill as all those 10000's have done. It can be found in Spearheadpeak Tyria, and apparantly not in Cantha. But as i have a ranger i will try and look to get that elite in Cantha. I want to get all elites for my ranger first then move on to my primairy secundairy and so on. So either i get this skill in Cantha in some cheesy cave or have to move to Tyria.

Quick Shot can also be found in Morostav Trail, south from Vasburg Armory toward Durheim Archives. Can't remember the name of the boss.

"Charge" is also held by "Merki the Reaver" one of the outcasts at Unwaking Waters explorable area.
Spellbreaker is held by "Untouched Ancient Ky" in the Raisu Palace or pavillion. I did it in the explorable area but I assume hes there in the mission also as most other bosses are. He is in the north by the docks in the middle area of the palace.

Is there anywhere else for equinox? The constructs have spawned for me in the explorable of sunjiang (warrior, mesmer, monk, ele, necro. always the same, at the same spots) and I know the rit is elsewhere, and I think the assassin elite can be capped elsewhere. Why not the ranger?
As for assassins promise - has anyone tried Shing Jea areas? |
