Kurzick Elite Mission - Urgoz's Warren Report (spoilers?)
vtrajan
we're doing this tonight and I'll post a full detailed report on the mission.
I'll try to exclude spoilers, but it's unrelated to the storyline iirc. Not too sure, I don't follow the story much...lol.
Check back in a few hours!

I'm looking forward to the report - my alliance is currently controlling Cavalon, so we are visiting the Luxon Elite Mission and are interested in how the Kurzick one is similar or different. Maybe we could exchange teams if we both manage to hold the capital cities for a while?
vtrajan
Our group has made it the farthest so far in the game.
We made it to the ninth room, before we lost our necro (as you see) and Kar soon error7'd.
Pretty much impossible for most teams...
Impossible without ventrilo.
Rex the Unloving
how do you get to these missions?
0siris
That is amazing, that's one hell of a group of Wardens. Are these actual missions that you get experience for? Or is it like something euivalent to UW/FoW/SF with quests within a seperate explorable area?
vtrajan
An actual mission. We have not completed it yet. We almost finished it tonight.
Derek Ravenclaw
What, we had like 2 more rooms and the boss to go?
Sam-
Damn we got far. Too bad for the people who got disconected
vtrajan
I know. We had the room we were in left, the room we were looking into, and the boss room.
kade
must you be in the alliance to enter?
vtrajan
Yes, you have to be in the alliance to enter.
kade
ah ty for the info, well guess ill just have to buy my goods ><

If someone can pull off an EoE chain reaction... hmm...
vtrajan
Made a dumb comment at 2am in the morning. edited.
DeathDealer

How about kamakazi goats on crack + 15 degen.
We went in but we got bugged at the bridge. The teleporter was broken and we didn't have any Nec-Trav or shadow steppers so we got stopped there. It seems the hard part is getting a good group of 12 organized all at the same time. Only a few groups have gone in as far as I know so I know there is still a lot to explore.
Oh... for those that don't know... to gain access to the elite PvE area your guild or alliance has to own House zu Heltzer... which we do.

It's a beautiful mission. Very dark, very attuned to the Kurzick theme.
I'm a huge fan of it, visually...

Lucky guys. I'm hoping my guild gets into an alliance so we can take a shot at these monster missions. I guess it would be cool to try them. If not, I guess we're stuck with PvP. :]

I'm a member of the alliance that currently holds Cavalon and yesterday we made it to the end boss of the Luxon elite mission. Trust me, it is really, really hard down there. In the beginning you are splitted into 4 groups of 3 people. Without 4 monks and a strategy for each team, don't even think about going in. Every team has to combat a certain aspect, which has an effect on the group. E.g. there is one, where you get knocked down for each successful hit on you. Or another one not allowing you to block or evade attacks.
After finishing off an aspect (it's an actual monster) the effects are gone and you can continue to the next chamber where you're united again. Lots of fighting and some tricky parts will follow. One region you have to open a door by making 5 party members stand on some triggers. Of course the door closes when they step off, so you have to fight without them for a while (and this is in a room where you get drained every 30 seconds). Later on there is a chamber where you can't cast spells, one where you can't be target of or cast enchantments, one where you get teleported to the nearest enemy + knockdown every few seconds, one where you get damage while moving etc.
In the end there is this nasty boss which has abilities close to those of Shiro (he's only lvl 30 but that doesn't really mean anything). He's in a chamber with 8 degen and repeatedly spawns about 12 e-drain mobs when you're trying to kill him. Unfortunately that meant the end for us after about 4 hours of fighting. Well, we'll give it another try today. All in all I really enjoyed the mission so far, it provided me with the most fun of all PvE content. This mission is definitely worth the tag "elite" and beyond the abilites of a lot of GW players. We are a pure PvP alliance and had major difficulties at some points, so don't expect to go deep into "The Deep" (that's the name for the Luxon elite mission) without an organized group. I'll try to post some screenshots when I'm back from work.

sounds nice
.
Do you have to pay/do something in order to be able to enter the mission? provided your alliance has control of either of the capitals?

No, it's just like every other mission.
Aerials
are there just one elite mission for both kurzicks and luxons? what about those alliances that control other ouposts do they have access to any elite missions?
vtrajan
There's just missions for Cavalon and House zu Heltzer.

Wow, I guess the large majority of players won't be able to see these missions. Not like a majority of them would ever be able to beat them either though! :]
Mosch
So there are only two elite missions and you have to be in the alliance that currently holds the city, right?
Well then, goodbye, elite missions.

Mitsu Bishi
No, you don't have to be in the alliance that holds. If you ask somebody from that alliance, he could bring you to the mission. It's just not sure whether he will charge something for it.

unless the alliance is based in the same region as you, you will have to basically beg them for access to meet you in international.
vtrajan
My apologies. One party member has to be in the alliance.
Zexion
Wow. I am really disappointed.
They didn't say any details on elite missions, making us believe you could go to an elite mission if you controlled any town. In fact he said that you could "attempt some of the Elite Missions associated with that town". But now it seems only the 2 capitols have elite missions.
Jeff Strain also said in an interview there would be other high-end PvE areas equaling FoW, SF, UW and Tombs. I have not yet heard any of these, and it seems he meant those two (2) lousy, very exclusive elite missions>.<
I really hope they add new god realms soon!

All I can say is...WOW... I am surely interested in the loot drops...are they worth the effort? Anything special?

Impossible without ventrilo. Oh my god....that looks like so much fun! There's still so much I don't get about Factions (like what an alliance actually is, how many guilds can be in one, and what it means to be in one)...guess I have some research to do if I ever want to head down there...

were are alomost there HOOrah maybe tonight!! COOL

It is not at all worth it. Four hours for something meh?
Did you see the drops they've gotten from the luxon and kurzick ones?
It's just fun the first few times for the challenge...
Dunno...it's far more profitable to spend faction on amber and sell for gold, and do other things in the market to make money. Or run chests.

Totally worth it IMO.
