Kurzick Elite Mission - Urgoz's Warren Report (spoilers?)
vtrajan
Cool skins I guess...but just buy them when people put them up.
Look at the stats of 90% of those drops...and how often they have gone into that mission...

I see this in the future... WTS Elite Mission spot 10k / spot!!!!!
vtrajan
Yeah, then you waste your 10k because you die within 30 seconds of the mission.
I myself would not take someone in this mission because they paid me. That is asking to lose the mission.
You need someone you know that you can rely on. Can't just grab 4 mending warriors and stuff.

Well, once you get the hang, it's getting easier. We made it to the end boss again yesterday in about 2.5 hours. Still not able to beat him but at least we had him down to the half.
The drops are nice but they are not spectacular. Which is how it should be, because otherwise those who are able to go there would be even more preferred. Nonetheless there's always the chance to find 15^50 Zodiac items which will sell for well over 100k - you just have to be lucky.
Would I pay 10k to enter? No, because without knowledge of what awaits you, you will not make it far. Would I pay 1k to enter? Maybe, if I'd be allowed a few tries - you will make 1k with the normal drops very soon and it's quite a challenge down there, so you will have some fun as well.

I got to enter with Vtrajan the other day as a MM...
basically he/she asked in the house who wanted to go in and I jumped at it..
this wasnt really an organized group, just poeple who where interested in seeing it.
first we entered into a corridor as a mob dropped from the sides and was killing people with basically one hit..
granted this was bliss for me as a MM and I got up 10 minions within what seemed like seconds.
after everyone was rezzed we hit the first KNOWN mob... needless to say this was quick and brutal.. since all the mobs are "crazed" basically they attack fast and hit hard.
needless to say its very much a 12 person area..
Ive been obsessing about what team would have a decent chance since then
although I dont think TS/vent is in any way required ( im Biased) some organisation, Candy Canes, and prior planning are definitly on the list..

Ah, it seems that the Kurzick one is a bit different from the Luxon one. In the Luxon one you are split into 4 teams (as I said earlier) and this is horrible without proper planning and dividing the group into the right pieces to finish that first task. But MM also shine in this one, strength of numbers is always good to have

BlackRecluse
oh god im so jealous. must..get into good alliance..
T)-(E Voice Of Reason
cefx who is that noob necro/monk who error 7ed? Its all illusions fault with his family dinner!!!!!

What will you get after finishing the mission?
nebuchanezzar
That is the great big unanswered question so far. Yes Zodiacs drop there but..what does the Boss drop? Does he have a green? Is he more like a HoH chest in quality?
Eventually teams will work out strong strategies and we'll get an answer when he/she is finally taken out.
Sounds just like its described..Elite Mission.
I wasnt aware non-Alliance members could enter with only 1 Alliance member in the group. That may open up the Xk/slot but hopefully the community just wont support it. In the same token hopefully some faction controlling members will be willing to bring others to see the Elite instances.

Any chance holding alliances can give us some kind of proper report from both missions same type like when UW/FoW came? Enemy type, maps, possible quests that sort of things...
Not have to, but just that I think many of us would appreciate that really much, because 99% is left outside ^_^

I'm still unsure whether this is necessary or not. Our alliance lost Cavalon to the Black Blades but some of us logged out in The Deep the day before and they logged in in The Deep even when we had already lost Cavalon. They were able to enter the mission alone without a problem and without anybody from Black Blades. So it may very well be that you don't need a member from the holding alliance at all - just somebody to bring you to the mission.

if this is the case !!!! that would be very nice, just an alliance member to get you to the mission once, then perhaps you get to keep it indefinitely?
pls update if you find out more

maybe anet doenst know this yet? that would be so cool if we could all get in the elite mission, btw are there any other area's like fow/uw?
TG|Claw
it would be nice if that was possible. Also maybe if your alliance controlled it once they can go there all the time :-)
Kakumei
Wait, so do the elite missions have a separate "lobby" area, or do you journey straight to the dungeons itself from the capital?
Mitsu Bishi
Yes, there is a lobby that is only accessible via talking to an NPC in the exclusive area. So you can't port back to it via your map, but if you happen to log out there, you will log in there if you come back, no matter who holds the city. Once you leave, you're out but in theory you could stay in there forever (there's a merchant AND a Xunlai agent in there, so there's no need to leave for that).
ubermancer
I can confirm that you do not need to currently hold house in order to enter. Skins are worth it, and yes it has a lobby, and yes you NEED necrotic traversal.

This is us in room 6 or 7, but we ended up getting to room 8. We ended up losing two guys from disconnects so we died. We will have this beaten within the next week or two.
vtrajan
That is the Luxon mission.
fb2000
can anyone post the mission objectives? or they are like, go kill a lot of angry mobs, then kill boss, and done with it?

So drawing off that, could I have a member of the alliance take me to the lobby area--and then eleven more people, who aren't in the alliance, and us twelve enter the mission together?
Mitsu Bishi
Yes, this should be entirely possible.
And you do not need Necrotic Traversal - at least not in the Luxon mission.

You need it for the Kurzick mission.
I'm in a pug group tonight and we're at the 8th room....
ugh.
Three hours...
More horror stories to come!
I love Hopping Vampires. Suicide Health - they sacrifice themselves but take ALL of your health. 100%. Even at 1000 with endure/defy...

My guild also went to Urgoz's Warren but there was a room that was bugged. The one with the 2 teleports...

I seriously love this mission.
It's such a pity that its not open to everyone, I am lucky that I am in a really great alliance that knows alot of people within the community. However, If you get a chance to go in this mission, you won't regret it.
It totally ROCKS. Can't wait to go back in

The room with teleporters is not bugged.
However, the 9th one is bugged.

The mission isn't that great really. There are hundreds of the exact same monster that you have to kill over and over. You can't even run in there with 12 people, you have to do really boring pulls and this mission ends up taking a long time.
The only thing that makes it somewhat interesting is when you see a chest, but chests are few and far between and in total there are normally like 3 chests through the entire mission. There could be a few more, but since the mission is bugged you cant do anything else as it is.
So basically you go in there to get Zodiac items which do look pretty sweet...but to be honest the amount of faction farming it takes to get to the capital isn't worth being able to farm zodiac items.
The mission is cool for a while though, its definently worth checking it out because it is kind of unique. This fun experience lasts for about 30 minutes depending on what character you are on, after this time though it gets really lame. After 3 hours...unless you find a really good drop everyone is just like bitching about the mission ;p

This mission is insane, too bad it's bugged. There are a number of issues:
First of all, because it takes so friggin long, you are prone to err. 7's, and while it's tough with 12, it's really interesting with 10 and less. There are mapping errors in quite a few places where people "fall through" and get stuck. You can't trade with them so if they dont have a vamp weapon to die and rebirth, they're really stuck (pro tip, bring a vamp weapon, just in case). The second room of the kurzick mission requires a necro to nectroctic transversal up to open the gates, without that, it's gg.
And finally, the most annoying bug. Have been to the 9th room twice, the door behind you closes, and the door infront doesn't open, that's it, you're done. Had an awesome group last night, we were flying, got to that room in just over 2 hours and were forced to quit. So annoying.
Oh, and ya, the mob after mob after mob gets a little tedious after a while.

Tips on completing the room that will popup 50 mobs if too many people enter it to kill the serpents?
Is it 3, 4, 5, 6 people who can be in the room? or is there another trick to it?

Shanaeri Rynale
3 people at a time, send in 2 ele's and a warrior to kill the tree then serpent. Then those 3 go out of the serpent door, over the bridge and stand on the patch of dirt after it. Send in 3 more and wait until they join the others. Then 3 more and then the final 3

The telepor was not broken...you need to take a teleporting skill to go upthere and open the gates...the teleport is to return to your team

We did it two weeks ago and finished it. We had an all guild group and we had a full party at the end. It was a blast, he droped all three green bows.
