Do you like farming? Yeah we like farming!
Loshi
Cantha. It's new. I like new things. I'm Loshi. Long time reader. I signed up to respond to a Wammo build yesterday, and decided to post one of my farming spots since I have an account now.
Okay, yeah, so, um.
Senji's Corner. W/Mo. Sup Vig/Abs.
Gladiator Chest/Legs. Asc Boots. Dragon Gloves. Wyvern helm. Thats what I use. Do whatever you want, honestly.
Razorstone, customized. Eternal Aegis (-5Dmg (Chance 20%) req9 Str) is what I use. Again, wtfever you want.
Healing 8
Strength... 10 sounds good.
Axe Mastery... 10 here too. That works.
Tactics.... 13 is an unlucky number, especially for Rodents.
Sup Axe, Minor for the Str and Tac. I have a Str Helm, too. (OMFG HE DONT HAVE WEAPON HELM) Yeah, because I can't afford 3 Weapon FoW helms... Yet.
Alright. Now, don't snicker just because I use two "OMFG WAMMO" skills. I usually detest being W/Mo, but I find the capability for farming unchallenged *Aside from Pure Warrior*
Bonetti's Defense
Cyclone Axe
Healing Hands (I'm an elite! )
Penetrating Blow
Penetrating Chop
Dolyak Signet
Live Vicariously
And...
DUN dun DUUUUUUN - MENDING! *scares small children*
Okay, exit Senji's Corner, go West. Throw on Mending. Keep going west. Keep going. Okay, now keep going.
See the group of lvl 18 Rodent? Thats your practice. Toss on Live Vicariously. Bust face. HH Cyclone Bonetti Cyclone Bonetti, Healing Hands when needed. Penetrating Blow/Chop to finish off the hosers.
Okay, that was good practice. Loot up, continue North.
Group from the East, aggro them and train them to group near Westmost bridge. Take them all. Healing Hands to start, Cyclone, then Bonetti, Cyclone, Bonetti, Cyclone... They die, eventually. If your HP gets low due to Poison/Bleeding, Healing Hands is Glory. beware, they Knockdown, so always Cyclone DIRECTLY out of Bonetti to avoid it being interrupted, so you have the charged adren, THEN you can HH, THEN you Bonetti again.
Kill. Loot. Salvage/ID. Continue across bridge.
OMFG WTF ARE THESE HOSERS?! There's a little circular racetrack that I guess the Rodents have made to win the heart of their boss, Shreader. So, pull a group. Then another. Just, get as many as you want. I have a screenshot of about 30 of them on me, it's glory.
HH, Cyclone, Bonetti, Cyclone, Bonetti.
Remember: Dolyak Prevents Knockdown! If you're havign trouble getting off your intiial Cyclone Axe, plug your DOLYAK POWER in and you'll be fine.
So, yeah. It takes awhile, but it's reliable. You get lots of blues/whites, some keys, not bad XP considering the effort, and if you take down the Assassin boss, he has a pair of green daggers with a relatively unique skin.
So, there you go. If you have any questions, post them. If there's enough interest in this, I'll make some maps in MSPaint (FTW).
You can trade their hides for collector items which are on the way to them, from Senji's, they sell for 125g each as opposed to selling 5 Hides for 100g.
Also, if you die during the rodent rush, you'll spawn at a rez shrine just north of the bridge you must cross to murderate Shreader's Fanclub.
Also, as a closer, I'd like to say thank you to people like Kvndoom and Racthoh, for helping to show me that a warrior is more than 'LAWLZ I GET HIT KK FUN'. Thanks a ton for the farming guides, and I hope this is all well received.
All feedback/commentary is welcome, recommendations too. I whipped up the build in about half an hour... Heh.
By the way, I tried Gladiator's Defense, but their degen was too lethal, and they kept interrupting Healing Sig.
THOUSEND TIGERS APUND YOUR HEAD!
Edit: I just realized: I Will Survive!
Hrmm... Maybe ditch a Penetrating for IWS!? I think so!
Drop a Penetrating for I Will Survive!, if you so daaaare! Might not have enough damage to kill Shreader in reasonable time, though...

Yay, praise. Thanks for comments.
By the way, the daggers are:
Shreader's Talons
7-17 (Req 9 Dagger Mastery)
15% Damage (vs hexed)
Increases bleeding durationg by 33%
Health +30
Badass skin, too, in my opinion. I've got a pair, if anyone wants to buy some. *is an idiot for trying to sell an item AFTER he tells everyone how to get it*

Anyone know a good free image hosting place for large Bmps? I don't have a converter, but I took screenshots of: Fighting, Loot, and Map.
Xaero Gouki Kriegor
lol this what i do, i open them up with paint, and reduce them to 66% and post them up at www.imageshack.us can still seem em okay, and also seems liek they stay up for a long time
karunpav
Or you could open it with paint and save it as a JPEG to host it on imageshack... but either way works.
pegasux
how much damage are you taking from the attacks? are they just mele mobs? Thanks...haven't had time to go there yet. =) just wondering if a FoW solo build would work nicely here =)
Loshi
They're assassins, I take about 1-3 damage per attack from regular attacks, but sometimes all I see is a bunch of 0's pop up. The only thing that really hurts is the occasional strike and the DoT's that they plug you up with.

Just wanted to make a quick note that you may want to edit your post to reflect the fact that you're using an axe and not a sword. You mention attribute points in swordsmanship and also a superior rune of swordsmanship.
remmeh
hahaha very entertaining read. now i just gotta get my warrior over to factions.

I agree. Sense of humor is always nice in threads

Thanks, it would seem I'm a huge moron.
A fantastic fool, if you will.
Reprimanded. Fixed the attributes, too. It should run as clean as... I dunno, I'm not a very cleanly person. The cleanest thing near me is a new printer cartridge after getting Elite lists. Kekeke. Anyways, yeah.
Oh, by the way, if anyone needs help, feel free to whisper me in game. I'm pretty much on... All the time. Loshi Deneb. SO, like, yeah. Savvy? Kay.
OH yeah, I'm looking for a Warden farming build. Y'know, Arborstone explorable? Yeah, if anyone has one of those, would you mind throwing it at me? I want a nice Ornate Shield. Moronic how the coolest looking shield is Kurzick, but it perfectly matches Luxon armor. Ugh.

I'm not sure if this would work since i'm at work now and can't try it but this may work for you also. Same Stats of course. With Live Vicariously and Vigorious Spirit every hit will net you +10 and +8 so +18 from every hit assuming you never miss. Say you cyclone 6 Assasins thats = 108 Self Heal, every 5 seconds also, then throw in Triple Chop every 10 seconds. With you taking next to nothing damage from armor and your shield and only fighting degen.
Now for my miserable attempt at math...correct me if I am wrong since i always am in math. -7 degen = -14hp per second so 14hp * 10 sec = 140. Now any hit on a foe will give you +18 any miss will give you just +8 from vigorous spirit. So say average +12 gain per hit. Assuming you have at least 6 on you...1 cyclone = 72hp every 5 sec. 72 * 2 (for 10 sec calc) = 144 + 72(from Triple Chop every 10 sec) = 216hp every 10 seconds. So that's 216 - 140 = 76hp leftover to deal with critical strikes or what not. You will also have the health gain from the normal attacks and Swift Chop in between Cyclone's and Triple Chop. Lets just assume you do 3 attacks in between(10 seconds measure) that's another +36hp. So 76hp + 36hp = 112hp for their skill attacks. Cyclone + Triple Chop + Cyclone = 10 seconds. With the -2DMG stance shield you should take all -0 DMG unless it's from a skill attack.
A stance shield would also really help here since bonettis will always be up, a zealous axe + bonettis will always have your energy up and the cyclones will always keep bonettis up for you. The collectors shield is fine -2DMG (stance) +45HP (stance) =). Also swift chop can be spammed, since assasins like to evade attacks they will suffer a deap wound from it if you miss =)
Sorry if I was all over the place...my brain is done for the day =(.

You forget Degen. I don't think it'll work, you won't have a large enough healing factor. But I could be wrong. I guess in a way it depends on if Live Vic + Triple Chop will heal you enough. I'll go test it.
Personally, I think Swift Chop is a bad idea. Costs energy you could use for Cyclone/Triple.

pegasux
No the degen is factored in as -7 cause of mending. That's -14hp per second on you but the self heals should be more then enough to cover it though...all in theory of course. Vigorious Spirit and Live Vicariously =). BTW thanks for posting your run...always nice to see warriors who are not selfish. I'm sure most of you already know this but Arborstone is very farmable and so is Brauer Academy (not the duel quest). Go out the SW entrance...tons of Undergrowth guys there.

Why would we have the Stance COllector shield when the only stance we'll be using is Bonbon?

Not sure what you are asking. The Shield I am referring to is the Crimson Carapice Shield -2DMG (Stance) +45(Health). An Eternal Aegis only looks better but does not perform better unless it is -2 Stance -2 Enchant, or -2 Stance -3 hex. Most don't have those shields since they are so rare and expensive. I have a Gothic Shield -5(19%) +43health but prefer my collectors cause it works better and I can predict the DMG taken. Also if you have a -5(20%) shield, you can assume you will get a -1DMG average per hit since you have a 20% chance for the -5 to kick in.

The ONLY stance you are in is Bonetti's, and that deflects most attacks, and will cause your HP to fluctuate violently with the 45hp (In Stance).
Eternal Aegis grants hp always, therefore you'll ALWAYS get +30 HP, to help you out when you aren't in Bonetti's.
By the way, Eternal Aegis = Same Stats as a shield craftable in Kaineng, so, yeah. It's a reasonable supplement, as opposed to the Stance Collector.
Furthermore, your build works, and I added it to my main post.
Edit: I tried my build and your build with a perfect shield I picked up (-5 (Chance 20%) -2 (In Stance)) and the difference wasn't very noticeable, aside from more close calls due to the lack of +30hp.

But the eternal aegis looks cooler! And as we all know, looking good gives you +400 armour vs anything stupid enough to mess with your pimped up self.

4:30AM here and I finally had a chance to try this run out...pretty simple and laid out nicely I must say...thx Loshi. I ran both builds and found that both work well. I however never ever had a problem with health though with my build. I pulled each and every vermin I could find and not a scratch except for the degen which the self heals more then took care of. The 3rd heal that I have in there Vigorous Spirit is unnecessary since all your taking on is degen. These assasins also do not dodge or block your attacks =) which is nice. So you could take Vigorous Spirit out and go with something to kill even faster like Penetrating Chop or something. Also Wild Blow should be subbed with Power Attack for more damage. I also put less into Tactics after the first run since I never needed bonettis up longer then 5 seconds for an instant energy refill. Back at work now so can't tell exact attributes but something like this. Did 5 runs and that cheapskate shredder never gave me his greenie! dang him...gonna call the Ninja Turtles on him!
BTW for those of you that don't like to die keep Vigorous Spirit in there just in case =). One neat thing is to let your health drop by not attacking with cyclone and Triple Chop and wait till your down to 50 or so health and hit cyclone and triple chop...instant refill of half your health...lol.
Strength - 12 (for 18 sec Doylaks)
Axe - 14
Healing - 8
Tactics - 2

I was thinking maybe these would work nicely Loshi...somebody let me know if this is even reasonable. All I remember is I was in a Pug with 3 warriors at the House zu Heltzer mission and there was a boss with sliver armor. He killed myself and the other 2 warriors all within 10 seconds with sliver armor. We all targeted him and the massive spike damage he did with that totally destroyed us.

Most damage I take is from the odd Strikes that Shreader gets me with, 2-3 dmg, other than that my health doesnt go down much.
Might not be the fastest killing build but whne you get down to just you and Shreader the bleeding+mega dmg from both ripostes takes him out fast.

Hi There!
Loshi inspired me to try the "standard mountian troll"-farm build on this location.
When I first tried this i realized (after killing all the vermins), that i hadn't put a point in healing^^. Just had to use the heal-sig. very often...
Skillbar:
Penetrating Blow, Cyclone, Bonettis, Glads-Def., Dolyak, Heal-Sig., Live Vicareously, Mending.
Skillpoints:
Strength: 10 (7+3)
Axe: 11
Tactics: 13 (req. for my shield) (12+1)
...cant remember exactly...
after the first run, i changed this to lower strength and axe, increased healing to 8 (mending = 3pip & LV =10hp/hit)
was something like: axe (9), heal(8), tactics(13), rest in strength.
I usually cast my enchants, grab the first two mobs, kill 'em, then the second two mobs, then I'll go over the bridge to the boss... and kill the rest of them.
When guys stand around you hit Dolyak (and refresh when runs out as soon as possible), use cyclone/bonettis/cyclone... and when available glads-def./cyclone/cyclone. Do not stop hitting foes in between cyclones, just switch the target when it's about to die... For the last mob you can just target the boss and hit him, he'll usually die last.
Poisoning is no real threat, I barely use heal-sig. (But when I do then ONLY when dolyak is up). Didn't die until now.
The run takes about 5-10 minutes and nets me about 1-1.5k (did not get the daggers by now...). And I'm not counting the vermin-pelts (? don't know what they are called in english), which I'm collecting.
Have fun!

Have fun!

I to was using the troll farming build. I must have done this close to twenty times. Was getting board and frustrated. So i decided to add some assasssins so they could cap his elite seeping wound. So off I go with two assassins and guess what the dam green drops for one of them I was pissed but it's all luck. This makes me wonder if the new greens are dropping for all clases. Have these daggers dropped for anyone else? Also the drops always seem better for my characters with less exp or the first time in a new zone. I don't want to turn it into a drop rate thread.

drop rates are always better your first few times threw a zone...if you keep going back to a zone to farm then the anti-farm junk kicks in and your drops quality decreases. just stop for a couple of days and go back.

I'm a Wammo (W/Mo).
The Daggers dropped for me two times now... I must have farmed him about 20 times when they dropped the first time. Then i got a morality boost and tried again and they dropped again :-).
I'm now trying a similar build on xuangan (?, assassin-boss to the east of maatu keep) in pongmei or what he's called... takes some time, but he can be killed easily... the kirins and undergrowths are also farmable (do not take more then one group of kirins and one group of undergrowths, it's more reliable to survive). Still got to figure out how to get that meysang-guy (?, rangerboss to the east near the entrance to the city, spawns when you get near him...) down... poison and necros kill me...
It's all about luck and endurance...
Cheers!

im not having all too much luck with troll farming nowadays so if you could supply a map for us so we can follow your route, it would help me (and i think others too) a lot

Loved the run .... died a two times and was knocking myself in the head as to how tough things seemed. Was on edge of life with degen each group... realized forgot to put pts into healing
Next run ... Shreader Talons dropped and not health problem at all!! Thanks for the idea to hunt the vermins. Nearly full health after each group. Lotsa fun.
Old Griff Build for me I liked most with added Triple Chops after experimenting with those posted:
8 Healing
12 Str
15 Axe
4 Tact - gotta spend remaining pts somewhere
Bonettis
Cyclone
Penetrating
Triple Chop {elite}
Dolyak Sig
Healing Sig (left over from the nasty degens when I had no pts in healing
Live Vicarously
Mending
Thanks again for posting about the Vermin extermination run
::edit:: I use the STR Shield (-2 stance) so I could pump the axe higher
