I'm sorry, but I don't really understand where this run is. Could somebody please clarify?
Thanks!

Thanks for this thread.
I just found a Celestial Shield on one of the Vermin.
Celestial Shield
Armor 15 (Requires 11 Strength)
Received Damage -2 (While in a stance)
Value: 124 gold
It was on the group that sits on the bridge just before Shredder's race track coming from Senji's.
I was at +6% morale.

Thanks for the map pic!
I went out and farmed them with a Slivernewal build. Four times in effect (two runs in which I zoned out and came back). Died twice, which with practice shouldn't happen that often. Stopping for chests, to check inventory, etc., a double run took me 30 minutes, which didn't need to happen if I didn't die, get lost, etc.
A double run got me somewhat over 3K (not counting the purple from the chest) -- 4K if the vermin hides still have good sales value (which I didn't try to confirm).

Aah, I love Vermins & Build (Triple Chop one).
Where you need HH, they do like 0-3 dmg?
Sayntfuu (or someone who knows), does the morale boost matter on drops?

I have no clue if morale affects drops or not. I do seem to get some better stuff when I ahve higher morale. That could just be random though.
So far in the last two days I have pulled 14 Celestial items, 14 Shreader's Talons, 35 Cantan Keys, and over 200 plat.
I like Vermin.

I have been playing with this Vermin farm thingy...
I only use Balt´s Spirit, Live Vicariously, Cyclone Axe and Triple Chop...
That is the only thing i use and Vermins go down fast as h*ll Dont even use any healing at all just have healing breeze with me just-in-case...
And the vermin hides.....ooooh do an expert salvage on those... gives you 4-5 scales.. and scales is pretty good pay when sold... Thx for the farm location

I love this farm as well poor Shreader's Talons are crap when compared to XueKao's tho but its one of the funnest farms I ever came across. I use Bonettis for 5 seconds, 0 in tactics 8 in Healing and the rest in Strength and Axe.
I whirl my blade around with cyclone and triple chop to get 10 health every time and Dolyak helps to keep that damaged own. 2 whirls and I'm at full health. I bring Sprint too so when I see Shreader I can sprint to him and let the mob congregate around me while I'm attacking him then Triple chop him = full health and cyclone axe = full health!

THis is my build. I used your for awhile and after 17 trips I failed to use HH once... I swapped it out for the crazy good Gladiator's Defense. Swapped around attributes a bit. I use a req nine axe so I lowered that to 9 and raised tactics.

I like Vermin. In how many passes through the area??
(I said that rather than "runs" because some people might like to go the end of the zone and return, while others might like to map back to Senji's Corner each time they kill everything.)
And did you do anything to clear anti-farming code inbetween runs?

Hey guys, tried this build out and it works great but i found a quicker way using the same basic build...
Add Triple chop in place of one of the adrenaline skills and healing brezze in place of healing hands.....you will not need tihs but its there for emergency use.
Do everything the same as you normally would at first starting with mending then live vicariously...then dolyaks when you get to them...use cyclone first then the adrenaline skill then triple chop or cyclone again until triple chop is recharged...wash, rinse, repeat...keep doing the same thing over...these puppies will drop like flies. And you wont suffer damage.
You can clear the whole section from Senjis corner to the west portal into the market place in 6 minutes.
One thing that you may want to take not of...when you get to the boss, target him and let triple chop and cyclone take care of the rest of those Vermin... AND one other thing..save vermin hides...go to collector outside senjis and trade them for a collectors item....5 hides =100g..the collectors stuff is worth 125g for 5 hides...that's a 25% return on your investment
so youll spend 5 hides (20 gold each)
collector cost 5 hides and item is worth 125g...sell @ merchant and gain 25 gold for each collector item.
4 collectors items= 400g worth of hides
4 collectors items sold @ merchant =500g
easy extra $$$$.

And did you do anything to clear anti-farming code inbetween runs? In all honesty it would be easier to say in 16 hours of playing. I stopped picking up white items all together now. I just pick up the blues, purples, yellows, greens, keys, dyes, and hides.
I go from Senji's to the Bazaar, then back to the racetrack, back to the bazaar, rinse repeat till I am full up. I would guess that I kill Shreader about 15 times a 'pass'.
I am beginning to think that as long as you don't go back to town the code does not kick in. That is very circumstantial though. Mainly the first 'pass' takes less time to fill up on non-white items then the second 'pass'. The second takes less time than the third, and so on. The only thing I do that could possibly clear the code is help a few buddies through storyline missions here and there. I also take the build over to the ettins to try and farm some runes every now and again. I mainly just keep grinding vermin till my eyes bleed. I have set up our guild hall with everything but the rare material and scroll vendors from this run in a little over a week.
The price on the talons has gone down too. I was gettingt 5k at first. Now 2k seems to be about average. It really isn't that great an item.

You may have a point. It would seem consistent with experience farming ettins ...

Sounds nice farming place, got to try this
This is good place for farming, very good. Like taking a candy from a child
½ an hour farming and already 1 celestial item, but no green daggers
Thanks for sharing your builds everyone

1 question, do vermins drop Celestial items or only chests?

Bonetti's Defense

Cyclone Axe
Triple Chop
Desperation Blow
Vigorous Spirit

i subbed in Desperation to apply condition and since dolyak is up i dont get knocked down
ive noticed this is faster this way
i also notice i really dont need vigorous spirit cause mending and live vicariosly is enough
as for damage taking i see all 0's when Dolyak is up and with out Dolyak i see mostly 0's and some 2-3's
i made a video of this run and will post the link when its uploaded for those interested in watching it or having trouble finding it even

Thanks for the feedback on antifarm. I think that's getting ever more sophisticated. E.g., I can farm minotaurs about 10X straight, and then the NUMBER (not quality) of my drops heads down. The next morning, I can do the same thing, with little having changed except a real-life clock delay.
Well, I did zone to Cantha and back too, I guess ..

Well, I did zone to Cantha and back too, I guess .. I have been paying attention for the last week. I have not done ANYTHING beyond farm vermin. I totally agree with you on the number of drops compared to the quality of drops. All it does is take longer to fill up on non-white items.
I would also agree that there appears to be some sort of time based cool down on the anti-farm code.
To the poster asking about celestials, I get them to drop from the vermin and get them from the chests in that zone. More often from the vermin though.

Triple Chop works better than Gladiator's Defense, due to the HP gain from Triple Chop, due to Live Vicariously.

in testing these builds, i eventually worked my way up to mroe of a monk build, but i used my warrior anyways. I had 10 points in healing, 10 in smiting and whatevers left in str. I got a str req shiled of 9, but it didnt matter i just needed armor. I use normal platemail armor, a major vigor and a major absortion. It really doesnt matter. And of course, the weapon type doesnt matter unless it is a wand that adds energy, which is desired but i dont even have one so yea.
Skills....
doylak
zealots fire
healing breeze
orison of healing
reversal of fortune
essence bond
balthazars spirit
and for laughs....shield of judgment- for some extra damage, not needed but can hold you over until doylak fully recharges, and its funny when they fall down.
First Cast essense and balthazars. These will fill up ur energy bar quickly even if there is only 2 enemies attacking you. Then get as many vermin to follow you. THe more that attack, the faster they will be dead. Once you have found at least 7 or so, stand in one spot and cast doylaks. Do not Attack. Because of the nerfed area of effect spells, the vermin will run away and if you are attacking, it will force ur character to follow, possibly aggroing more guys than can be handled. After doylack is up, cast zealots fire, and then cast healing breeze, and then reversal, and then orison as fast as they recgarge, which will be almost instantanious. After a few hits of zealots, the enemies will run away, but they take turns running away and always come back. If there are several enemies, there is always at least 1 or 2 that is attacking you at any given moment, thus fueling your energy. When doylak goes out, you will be knocked down, and i ussually cast shield of judgement here, they all take damage and get knocked down and then i can re cast doylacks and so on. At 10 or 11 str, doylacks only has 5 seconds between the time that it runs out and when its ready. Even if you dont have shield of judgement you can just sit there and wait for it to cast, and once u cast it, you are almost gaurunteed to cast all of your healing spells with no interuption. Shield of judgement is also good for stragglers. The three healing spells should be more than enough to keep your health at almost full the entire time.
The point of this build is to kill the vermin in a 5th of the time it takes to cyclone them all to death.

gotta say it dude......I LOVE THIS FARMING RUN.
although i have modified you build, thanks mate, u rawk.
as i dont have healing hands on my warrior, and as id just capped triple chop (from wing three blade) i thought id form mine around that
i use
cyclone
triple chop
healing sig (really just for emergancies, rarely use it)
doylak sig
healing breeze (again for emergencies)
balthazars spirit
liv vacariously
vig spirit
i find this good for the vermin, but i dont kill shredder as he does too much degen for my version to cope.
thanks again dude
EDIT: if you go all the way up to the portal, you can zone and then go back down, and keep zonign using that portal till u fill up your inventory, as this means you spend less time walking. if this has been pointed out before, sorry, im too busy farming the vermin to check

Man With No Name
I've settled on this for killing vermin.
Strength 12 (11+1)
Tactics 16 (12+4)
Rest in Air/Axe Mastery
Cyclone Axe
Dolyak Signet
Gladiator's Defense (e)
Bonetti's Defense
Teinai's Wind/Whirlwind
On Your Knees
Healing Signet
Free Slot (I Will Survive/Riposte/Balanced Stance/Whatever)
Gladiators Chest, Arms, Legs
Knights Boots
Stoneroots Shelter (+30 Health, -2 dmg in Stance)
Wing's Axe (Zealous, +30 Health)
Open with Cyclone Axe (both Bonetti's and On Your Knees should be charged) followed by Gladiators Defense. As Gladiators Defense wears off hit Teinai's Wind followed by On Your Knees (recharging your stances) then hit the newly charged Gladiators Defense followed again by Cyclone Axe (recharging Bonetti's and On Your Knees again =p).
Continually repeat this cycle with the slight variation of Gladiator's --> Bonetti's --> Teinai's Wind --> On Your Knees -- if your running low on energy.
The braindead vermin attacking through a constant Gladiators Defense is quite funny - although the humor wears off after the 5th time =[.
I personally throw Balanced Stance into the free slot so I can gather all the Vermin around Shredder - avoiding the knockdowns whilst not having the speed penalty from Dolyak. Since we're getting hit for 0 dmg (bar the occassional attack skill) it's just a matter of cleaning up degen. Healing Signet is more than enough for this - as long as you Heal Sig when Dolyak is up =p
Easy stuff - shame his Green item is garbage. If my brain doesn't leak out of my ears, given a few more hours of doing this -- I should be able to afford all the Axe/Sword/Hammer mods that I'll need.

I've found this to work much better.
The boss is easy to kill and usually goes down before the rest of the vermin.
This build will allow you to take on ALL the vermin at once if you can aggro them.
Tripple Chop
Cyclone Axe
Penetrating Blow
Judge's Insight
Dolyak Signet
Vigorous Spirit
Live Vicariously
Esscense Bond.
Cast Esscense bond 1st as you head out towards the Vermin
Once your energy is full cast Live Vicariously
Once you aggro the vermin cast Dolyak Sig
and Vigorous Spirit.
Use Cyclone and cast Judges Insight <<< Key Skill
At a strength of 15 the Dolyak stays up you can't be interupted.
Just keep cycling the skills.
When fighting Shredder just keep him as the target and use penetrating
blow after each cycle of tripple and cyclone. Judge's Insight keeps all blows at 20% armor penetration and with Totem axe the run is really simple.
This works VERY effectively.
At a strength of 15 the Dolyak stays up you can't be interupted.

nice builds all, but you can easily let essence bobd and balthazars spirit out, because a zealous axe will make sure you almost never run low on energy with the triple chop and cyclone axe builds.

Alright, I figured out a great way to do this without being a monk, and I got the talons on my 2nd try.
Here's what I'm using:
15k Gladiators (full)
Strength: 11+1
Swordsmanship: 10+2
Tactics: 10+2
Zealous Katana of Shelter (+14% while in stance, armor +6 vs. physical attacks)
Exalted Aegis (-5 damage / 20% chance, +30hp)
"I Will Survive!"
Riposte
Deadly Riposte
Gladiator's Defense [E]
Shield Stance
Dolyak Signet
Healing Signet
Sprint
I've only died to one group so far, and that was because it was the boss and about 10-12 of his buddies and I wasn't paying enough attention. Biggest group I've taken down so far is boss + about 10 of his buddies, and that's the only time it gets close (concentrate your normal attacks on the boss).
Start with Dolyak Signet and Gladiators. Once Gladiator's runs out, toss up Shield Stance; by the time it runs out, Gladiator's will almost be recharged. Early in the fight, once you are bleeding and poisoned, put up "I Will Survive!"--this'll allow you to not bother using your healing signet until your second Dolyak recharge (unless you're fighting the boss, he's got a nasty degen that you've gotta keep healing through).
The nice thing is, you keep doing damage while you're using your healing signet, because both Ripostes and Gladiator's Stance keep going (and can be activated!) during Healing Signet.
