As we all know, Pirates are sweet. What you probably did not know, however, is that Septemper 19th is "talk like a Pirate day". Me and my friends celebrate this day evvery year with a pirate party.Yes, it is a day filled with booty, lost treasure, rum and a whole lot of "shiver-me-timbers" and stupid pirate jokes.
I propose, therefore, that this great day be celebrated in Cantha and Tyria this year. There can be a treasure hunt quest. An NCP giving away Pirate hats and eye patch would be a must. Perhaps there could even be peg-leg boots. Like there is a Swedish Chef (bork bork bork) language option, perhaps there could a pirate language option (ever sentence begins with "arrr" and so forth). Of course there would be plenty of pirate's rum to go around.
I think this day would be a blast and a huge success. Your thoughts?

Events are fun and all, but there are lots of bugs they can fix. I'd much rather have them fix the armor and weapons as they promised than an unimportant "pirate" event. Plus they can wait until other holidays for events.

Avast ye, maties! This here idea be gettinfive out of five starrrrs. Me and me buccaneers can be peg-leggin our way across Tyria in no time. With souvenir grog & grub for the takin. Aye, that'd be well worth belayin our seafarin to hunt for buried treasure. I've heard tales that the Margonites buried huge chests of booty beneath the Crystal Desert...

Fixing things that need to be done should be done before this, imho. if they already have the textures for it then sure i'd sign to that.. but would much rather get my sunderin green items to 20/20 before this..
if this did go through, i'd like to see for just that day all chests are "buried tresure" which would require no key to open and all 8 members of your party could open.

As I understand it, dev/implementation teams and bug fixer/troubleshooters are 2 different sets of folks, and I for one would LOVE a pirate hat with a big feather and a hook claw wand/sword.
So, that said, do you like the idea of a pirate day?

pirates never used a plank....it is something hollywood through in when they made the first pirate movies because they thought it would add in alot of flavor and suspense to the movie....this has been proven many times....
but yes on another note.... Tarun if you want to complain please go somewhere else the OP just wanted to know if you thought it would be fun or not and never said that the bug fixes were unimportant....
