Since this topic is back on the first page, I guess I can ask my question here.

Something is bugging me... Let's say you have a rit MM in the team and a necro with Jagged Bones. If the necro casts Jagged Bones on the rit's minions, they'll become Bone thingies when they die (and they'll be controlled by the rit). But does Spawning Power affect them? How to check that?

Perform the test in the Isle of the Nameless and time how long it takes to die.
I doubt it will.

Edit: If you don't want to calculate how long it would take with or without Spawning Power then perform the test twice; once with 0 in Spawning and then again with 12.

D'OH! I'm slow tonight. Thanks for the tip.

After testing, it takes 71 sec approximatively for a bone thingy to die with lvl 1 Spawning Power, and 96 sec with lvl 10 Spawning Power (powered by a necro with Jagged Bones and 16 Death Magic). So, yes, Spawning Power does work in this case.

EDIT - It doesn't strictly follow the hp % gained with each rank in SP rule, but that's normal: the longer a minion lives, the more HP degen it has.

If a minion survives the entire 96 seconds, you're not casting Jagged Bones or Taste of Death often enough.

Seriously though, the Minion UI and Seven Hero Party patch brought all new life back to this build. You can bring multiple copies of Death Nova, Jagged Bones, Searing Flames and Discord. Bring a Spiteful Spirit Necro, and you can vanquish entire swaths of GW1. I've not yet purchased any Mercenary Heroes, but I shudder to think how many seven-Necro-parties are out there now.
