Plain and simple idea. Scrolls now stack in your inventory, so let runes stack in your inventory as well. It would definitely beat having a bunch of runes crowding your storage. I personally buy some runes and save up in case of price changes. Look at prices of Superior Vigors lately, their price is getting to be that of what Superior Absorbtion used to be.

/sign don't see why they haven't done this already.
I once had 15 Major Vigors i was holding for guildies, finally decided they took up too much space and sold all to the rune trader.

I had heard that facitons would introduce a bigger storage, but since that didn't happen, anything to save space is a good idea imo

Hahaha, I had the same reaction as many of the posters above and I was about to ragequit the forums for the day. Luckily enough I actually got around to reading the thread rather than just the name ^^. Anyway, this is a great, logical, and many times, necessary improvement that needs to be implemented. Thanks for bringing it up.

I agree with stacking and I'm sure the scroll change is just one change in many that are coming down the pipe to tweak / enhance storage. That said, anything you heard about bigger storage coming with factions is / was a rumor with ZERO basis in fact. The current plan isn't to enlarge storage, but rather enhance how it works. Perhaps storage will allow for items such as tanned hides to stack beyond 250, who knows. All we know is that it's being worked on.

Glad I read the thread

I dont see why it should be so hard to set the runes to stack, but my only concern for this would be runes becoming another type of currency.

I really don't see how that's a problem, to be honest. If it has value, which can consistently be exchanged at roughly the same rate, doesn't that make it de facto currency anyway?

One the one hand, I dont see why you should have any more than a few runes of each type at a time, and preventing people hording them seems benificial to everyone else as they can't horde alot of runes if they expect their price to rise.

Then again, storage is limited, and stacking items togeather eases off that pressure. So making something stackable helps there.

So on runes I'm staying netural

If runes stack, mods and scrolls should stack too.

I would say Runes don't stack to the due fact of people stocking up on runes to get quick rich. Right now they don't stack cause either, you make the decision. To either get rich or you want invent space.

I can see why they wouldn't but if they do I won't complain.

Maybe a new tab on storage that lets you hold one of each type of rune (i.e. one of each atribute type for each class wheter its minor, major or sup is your choice) or a Guild storage? I hold onto runes to outfit my guild its getting a little crazy. ;P

/notsigned, this would allow people to game the supply/demand mechanic by hording extreme numbers of popular (sold out) runes. Remember how hard it was to get a superior dagger rune for the first week of factions, now extrapolate that and imagine that someone can store up to 250 of them per free inventory slot. This btw is the same reason that celestial sigils don't stack.

I dont collect runes unless I have a char in mind that may need them. laziness and storage problems stop that. how bout instead of stacking runes for the sake of people have 250 runes of vigor and because whats the point? we let people pay to increase storage. like the material storage just added, lets be fair and say for 1k you can add 10 spaces to storage. allow up to 3-4 upgrades. I had to mule one of my chars because I have taken to collection greens and storage wont hold them. would gladly pay 1k or maybe more for the extra space.

How bout being able to store full bags in storage? fill a bag (with rune of holding) and then drop it in storage) this could allow all the ~pack rats~ as much space as the could need.

I believe that runes don't stack in inventory because Anet doesn't want speculators to be able to easily control the economy of something so vital and basic to gameplay.

Yes, I would personally find it a very useful feature. No, I don't think the benefit to me personally is great enough to outweigh the drastic effect on rune prices stacking them would eventually create.

This doesn't affect me in any way, but if some people have too many runes to stand not stacking them, then it's fine with me.
