Guild Wars: Boring Factions
LeftEar
I don't think Factions is good at all, it is not a challenge and they only made it harder by having more pop-ups while trying to do a quest. Also I hate the faction ideam especially the luxin side because there aren't even enough quests to befriend the luxons without having to do the repeatable quests. Or do aspenwood or the jade quarry. I am also not a big fan of having to find a ferry to the elite missions either. But that is just me, I know some ppl really like it but for me it was just not as good as prophecies.

Well i thought that Prophecies was more boring then Factions. I like Factions because it added new oppurtunities in PVE. Like New Moves, Weps, and and Chars. In my opinion Factions was better.

The thing I hate most about Factions is the timed bonus on the missions. In the first guild wars the bonus was a mini mission built in to the big one. But now it is just a speed thing. It is a quick way out for the programers so they don't have to create a second mini mission. Doing it fast just proves you have a good internet connection, mouse, and are so bored with the game you don't want to look around. Doing the same mission over and over just to get faster seems very boring to me. I like to look around and see what I can find and enjoy the scenery. One of the reason I don't like teams is they always go so fast you can't enjoy the game. I get bored with killing, killing, killing and PvP.

prophesies had 25 missions and 24 bonus quests inside them. the only timed bonus was Ascension.
factions had 13 missions and ZERO bonus quests inside them.
this is the true example of how poorly thought out and fleshed out Factions was. major major disappointment.

Ever since Factions was released i have been spending more and more time and find it more interesting to read these forums than playing the game. Enough Said.

I'm in the same position, spending way more time on forums now than actually in game..

funny I henched Song & Stone with all my characters, 1 of each class, I had no problem at all beating that quest along with the others in the same area at the same time, maybe 1 died once or twice but for the most part I completed the quest with enough space to pass it easily with hench.

what i dont like is that you have to play through the entire game, with every single character

not exactly, while both missions and bonuses in the three desert missions you mentioned were timed, canthan missions gave you the bonus reward if you simply achieved the main mission faster.
the three desert missions mentioned above had you doing different things outside the main mission while still under the same time pressure of the mission, not doing the main mission faster.
my point is anet did not really think of any bonus missions for cantha, they simply required you to do the main mission faster ... and that in my book is a lazy shortcut at doing things.
