Character slots for sale... when?

So in the tradition of using ill-defined periods of time ("summer" "later this year"), Anet said they were willing to sell additional character slots to people who wanted them. Personally I think it's a lovely idea. I will be buying 3 of them so I have 8 PvE and one PvP (this is assuming the error 007 issue gets fixed).

Does anyone actually know or has heard anything about how this will be done or when?

And out of curiousity, will you be buying them, how many?

In the immortal words of John Carmack "When it's done and not a moment before", or would you like to buy a character slot and have it wipe out your storage?

"Soon" from the POV of a business looking to increase it's bottom line is as soon as they get it developed with all the bugs worked out so that the character buying option doens't screw up its customers' account.

Be patient, having 6 slots should keep you entertained while you're waiting. If not, then those new slots you buy won't keep you entertained long enough to make them worth buying in the first place.

It better be here by july ~_~

it's not wise to add another key just for some features like backup dancers or the divine aura since that's just throwing away cash

what you like paying $70 for just a divine aura or backup dancers and some stage lights?

if you really want the backup dancers you can buy a CE and add the key.

you will not get any more slots but you will get the backup dancers as it will simply overwrite the regular key to a CE key.

I really hope they hurry up with this, I don't want to delete another character, and would like an additional 2 slots to my account.

I would really like another option then just that $10 per characters slots
for example, you buy the same exact chapter you already own and add that key to your existing account will yield extra character slots

why? you can finally buy a CE and add that key to your existing account without just those features
who wouldn't want that?
same goes for the SE keys being added to accounts which also yield slots

I don't recall every saying a specific month for the Character Slot availability. I'm pretty sure that I did not, 'cause I don't have that detail quite yet!

This is rather a significant undertaking, and I don't have a precise timeline on availability. As I recall when we first mentioned it, it wasn't going to be a distant offering, but I honestly don't know if it's this month, next month, or later in the summer. I will ask the designers and programmers and see if someone has a little more information on this, with apologies for the current vague answer.

Lately I have been redoing characters slightly out of boredom. Actually I plan on keeping my characters as is for good. Getting tired of of redoing characters. I wanna turn my account into hopefully a 12 slotter. Can't wait for the official official word on when the program will be released.

Does that mean we should take to the streets?

yeah im hoping for sooner rather than later. i scrubbed my ranger and necro on my first acct (have warrior and mule as 3rd and 4th) so i can hold more stuff. planning on buying 3 slots (have W, Mo, Ele, Sin, Rit, Mes on main acct now) and remaking ranger and necro and having a PvP full time slot. definately not buying 2 copies of any expansion when i can just spend 30bucks to have it all on one account and have my other acct just be 4 mules.
