Alliance Rosters
Chaco Nautzi
I just got to thinking that it's quite tedious when I have to(or I see someone having to) repeatedly ask in alliance chat who was on from certain guilds. This is when I thought that we should be able to see our allies' rosters. And Im sure others have wanted to be able to see other guilds' (in the alliance) roster.
I suck at editing screen shots, so Ill make it here
I figured it would work the same as visiting guild halls, but you can do it all from your guild's roster/tab
at the bottom under the alliance tab---> [View Guild's Roster]. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .[Visit Guild Hall]
Anyone...Ideas, Comments, Criticism? Ill take anything at this point....I need feed back...

this is a great idea, and maybe you can add to check who is online offline from the other allied guilds also?
fenix
Just a tab that says Roster which shows everyone online in the alliance with their guild tag. E.g
Online:
Player 1 Online TAG
Player 2 Away TGA
etc etc
Online:
Player 1 Online TAG
Player 2 Away TGA
etc etc

How about friends list-like tabs...
Example allience
>guild1
aoiehr-online-
woeirep-offline
a-online
perihae-offline
*clicks*
poof its gone!
<guild2 (click to see this guild's roster)

I geuss you dont understand the Idea completely...see you know how when you highlight a guild under the alliance tab? there's a button that you can click to go to your allied guild's GH. Now on the opposite side of the box(brought up by pressing 'g') I was thinking that, after highlighting the guild you want to see, you can see that guild roster, like visiting the guild's GH(Guild Hall).

Its called a friends list? It holds 100 ppl btw! you cannot possibly fill it and know everyone on it...

The friends list only holds 50.... And I did fill it, and know all of the people on it. And I have more people I wanna add to it, even apart from my alliance.
So yes, I think this idea is very much worth while investigating, if not implementing.

What ever the friends list does hold I dont have enough space left on it for putting Allies on it. And even if I did, how would I tell the allies from friends?
Btw I do also know all the people on it...
!!! aa !!!! your ideas, comments, whatever it is you want to call it that you put on to this forum, aren't productive at all. You just disagree or post something completely stupid, people get pissed at you then you do it again. Now, here's my point: Could you please stop spewing that ignorant dribble from your "brain" and let us discuss somethign worth while? Thanks.

i think this is a good idea, however i dont know if it would be possible as i think it would take a lot of work.
If we cant see the roster i think it would be usefull if we could at least see how many members from each alliance were on i.e. guild aaa has 10 members online guild b has 5 members online.

A intresting idea but who needs to know who all the hundreds of other people are that are online at the moment? Its an alliance, only your own guild basically your guild is your hometown. You are allied with other towns. You dont really need them to know who all is in your town. This is just a waste of an update putting this in the game.

900 Friends slots needed to add Alliance memebrs to friends list.
And even then your assuming he wants to be friends with them, maybe he just wants to look and see only 2 people on accross the alliance, before asking for some monk assistance.
Alliance rosters have been suggested alot before, but I still think /signed since it would be very good, (espeically for Alliance Leaders) to see how active a guild is.

/signed before, and I'll /sign again.
My friends' list was at half-capacity before we joined our alliance. Since then, I've added a LOT of people from our alliance. Now I'm full up, having to delete a lot of people, and we're not even that BIG an alliance!

I dont know how much !!! aa !!!! is going to be reading that lol...
But I still think wii need this, My alliance has recently become very inactive and this would help to know when to kick the ones that are actually inactive or just not answering...

Identical petition? Or is there some reason this shouldn't be merged with the other?

I think I'd prefer just officers and leaders (and no, I definitely can't fit that on a 50 person friends list, I can't fit all the people I do whisper back and forth with in the span of a week much less any others I might want). While it'd be nice to see everyone online, I already get harassed enough as a leader of our alliance, I'd hate to see all my members get harassed equally with whispers.

I would think that it would get a little messy that way...
I might still prefer the each ally has it's own seperate roster incase you dont want to see everyone else...for example inactives in the guild you dont need to see.

Ok no more ideas, but if we get enough support on two different forums(gwsonline already has tons >< ) then Im sure they MIGHT possibly consider it

I've wanted this since factions came out. I'm a leader of a small alliance, but I still don't have enough space in my friends list to have everyone! I like the OP's idea, just have a mini roster for each guild. I don't see why anyone is against it (if it can be easily done by the dev's) since it wouldn't actually make anything worse, but only improve communications.

My friends list is filled up. I have been playing for 15 months so yes I do know most of the people I have on my friends list now. I am a guild leader so I am always checking activity levels in my guild and wanted to get to know things about other guilds, etc.

I would prefer to save my friends list space for people not in my alliance that I may wish to have contact with (or as many use it to remember who not to ever party up with again...) Being able to see who is on an allied guild as easily as you can see who is on yours is a very nice idea. Save us from the repeated "Is anyone on?" "Nobody but us chickens" or '....silence...'

Have it work like the quest window. You can toggle open the individual Guild within the Alliance.

One thing that makes me worry that we'll never get alliance rosters is that every time the topic comes up with Gaile, she seems to say that it would have a very small significance, and nothing else. Ok, so this might not be my number 1 priority, but, if someone could add it to the bottom of a dev's to do list so it'll eventually get done, I'd be very happy .

My freinds list is full. I only have alliance people on it and I don't have them all. As it is it is worthless to me since I can only add a percentage of my alliance to the list and then I can't add random nice people I meet in game.
When someone asks me to add them to my friends list I tell them I'm full so add me to theirs. They might whisper me sometime later but of course I have no idea who they are because they are not on my friends list.
This is very inconvenient.
I'd like to see a merged guild roster/alliance roster/friends list with tabs.
/signed for some kind of alliance roster.
B T
this would be a very very good tool. a way it could work is..every guild has a roster..in the alliance window..you click on the guild and it would bring up THAT guild's roster when you clicked on the "roster" tab

I currently have alliance members in my friends list, but it would be very nice to be able to free that up for non-alligned friends (as originally intended), plus I can sometimes forget which players are in which alliance, and which ones are just friends.

just keep it simple. it is only a text file like your guild list. make it tab, for each guild in alliance. simple.
