A good idea would be to have customizable guild hierarchy like: Leader, steward, member, initiate. All of Which would be editable, just like in World Of Warcraft. This would be a more exciting experience for guilds as a whole. World Of warcraft has an awesome guild rank system which i think would really imporve Guild Wars.
It would also be a good idea to set permissions for each of these groups "can access guild hall?" or "can use guild chat". This would prove a good way of punishing a bad member, and help keep them in line. It would also help for certain officers that you might not trust with a kick permisssion, one of the worst fears is having your guild kicked out by an officer.

I can not sign this ^^
I would like there were more options for a guild's management: like more information about members in the guild panel (like in WoW), more in-game means of information for a guild (say a guild hall's board) and about a guild (say a player's information board about guilds), and more options for player to player, player to guild and guild to player communication and relation (say off-line messaging, guild join request feature, social channel).
I would like less hierachy and less militaristic guilds and more shared leadership, cooperation and competitive thinking (say not like WoW which is a way too militaristic); say more like a community of heroes.

i think a little more heirarchy might be nice, it may even encourage people to stick with their guilds if they have to work there way up the system.. but it does place more burden on officers\leaders to ensure ranking is fair, and actually achieved.. id hate to be stuck at at "guild peasent" just cos I had a lazy leader\officer (BTW not saying my leader is lazy!!!)

a great idea which i cant decide to sign or not sign. You should only recrtuit members you know you can trust if you want a solid guild and which case you give everyone a chance to speak it can improve your guild instead of limiting the guilds peasants which make up 80% of your guilds speaknig rights. A Hierarchy would be fun and has much potential and has a bunch of flaws with in it. I say chance it in a beta and see how it works, i fun idea
I want to be the crazy wizard/wizardess that reports directly to the leader and fills his mind with terrible thoughts!

/signed for guild positions, not for ways of punishment
I think this would be a good idea. I've seen some members within a guild who have been with the guild for quite some time(months) but are still titled as regular members. That's just a shame. A title like "Senior Member" would be nice or something similar.

Anyone else think we could use a more informative guild management system? For example: We should be able to have PVE / PVP officers / members categories in guild list. Basically, more categories than just leader, officer, member.
Kind of like how you can assign channels in TS / Ven, it would be nice if you can name your own categories and set privaledges in each one.

Hopefully the guild leader and/or officers would be more mature and that wouldn't happen..
