Anywho another strat that has worked for me, simply take the some route and when your fully healed up, just run through the mob, don't worry about aggroing Jayne. The instant that they first lose you, they should ball up on a point thats roughly in the center of that area. Then when your right on about the long/flatbow range to Jayne, who should be pretty close to this ball, pull out a long or flatbow and hit him once. This should get his attention and no one elses. And you simply pull him back. If you do get the attention, don't worry, if you hit them when they were still in the longbow range, it seems that they really aren't that interested in you except Jayne, so simply run away (don't sprint) the other way. You should lose everone except Jayne before you hit the Undergrowth and Dragon Moss groups. Actually, I've noticed this too, but in some cases, the mob doesn't ball up, but ends up in a straight line, and in order to hit jayne, you have to go into aggro range of the others. I'll keep testing, but my guess is that the best way is probably play with the aggro and see which method works for the specific spawn. Even with 30 dp, you should still be able to run through without dying.
