Here's a picture of my concept class, the Shrift. Bethany's guide helped me out to render it nicely (it's actually a Ranger for the dolts in the audience). What do you guys think?
For those who are interested, the class concept can be found here: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10083511

My cute mesmer ^^
Click the pictures for higher res.
Yeah her lipstick is kinda bugged when she opens her mouth :/
I just wish the textures were in higher resolution (I'm already playing at the highest details, but the textures are a bit blurry during close ups)

Pixelated... Make sure Anti Aliasing is on before taking screanshots to reduce pixelation.

My Rit. Location stolen from Bethany's first pic, and most of the method copied from her (great) guide too, as this is my first attempt, although I did play around with lightening the lights and clouds a bit as well.
How do you cut your character out so neatly? I've been kinda clumsy with mine, and it looks a bit jagged and, well, cut-out 'round the edges
EDIT: edited for size. 800 by 600 is OK, right?

Ok i decided to give this a go as I liked all the above work so much, nice work guys and cheers for the tutorial very very very helpful!
Ok i used the same shot for every image but changed it with different effects
this is the one with the techniques given in the tutorial I like this very atmospheric.
I actually used this one as a graphic for college work, but decided to use it for other things as well.
I then added some noise afterwards which I think really adds something to the image.
and finaly lol got there in the end! I added some green and red as an overlay to add some life to the image

Diva Signet
Dzus wins.
Me likey.
I'd never thought of taking a pic of a rit spirit before - and the setting for it is perfect.

I don't like this one as well, the "Bound" spirit is a bit harder to place.

Ever thought of trying your own way instead of copying someone elses?
Now that everyone uses the technique it looks boring and plain.

Found this thread while looking for tips on posing my characters...decided to give it a try...
first try is with an old old shot of my first character when she first got to Tombs...at this point I didn't know how to hide the UI when taking a screenshot, and I wasn't paying attention to the quality of the image...since it was going to be sized down anyway for this sig:

After:
I always liked the original image...not sure about the new one...
I got some others I'm going to work on.
