Where is Captain Rujiyo?

I think I remeber where I saw the Captain, I think it was the guy on the ship that brought the first Cathans over for the first preveiw weekend PvP. We might also want to check the battle islands.

One of my guildies (who is in Europe currently) told me that when she played after the event started, the Darkness quest led her to Captain R after closing the rift. She followed the star, found him and then was told to go back to Hanso and get her reward. This was before some of the later updates.

It's possible they removed him, or an update bugged him out. It's also possible they moved him (or intended to move him) to the point after the 4th quest is completed so that he could lead us to the so far unseen mini-missions mentioned alongside the new unique quests (quests for the event, not the ones that are the equiv of the Tyrian signet quests) in the announcement.

Between killing ppl's pets, Captain R. appearing or at least not being there when you're told by Hanso to see him when ur ready, bosses missing in Boreas Seabed, there sure have been alot of bugs. At least theys eem to be fixing them.

Maybe the glowing chest is to factions what gwen was to prophecies? Just something to make us talk about the game.

It seems that no one has found the captain yet, you see people asking in shing jea each minute.

Lol, if I was a dev, I'd put all sorts of wierd little things in the game to keep people talking... keep people interested in my product. Adds an illusion of depth... and above all... it allows for expansion where and when I decide to do it.

it's the end of the dragon festival, a chest is killing everyone using overpowered fire storms

maybe the finale surprise is a new area and capitan is the guy who sends you there.

ppl were talking about a canthan version of sorrow's furnace in another post...

and that chest was always there as i remember.

It bugs me the way on the gw website it says "a finale true Canthans won't want to miss."

Maybe some new area only Canthan born characters can access? Would be rather irritating.

I want the finale to be the opening of a new Realm, like UW and FoW.

And the Chest...well...I don't know

it might be just me but does that chest remind of the end of the movie Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark (you know how the ark gets put in a crate).

To be a "keeping the server clean" type issue most likely?

I'd prefer a weapons locker rather then a materials locker, but SOMETHING is sure better then what we have now.

On the main site they said something about also being able to store armor (possible weapons..don't know), so it isn't really an 'only' materials storage...

The canthan bosses drop MORE than enough greens lol. I think a 1vs1 arena would be very interesting........even though id suck at it....OH EVEN BETTER! the games and dragon arena should stay...and we should get dragon armor and dragon minipets!

I have a feeling the Finalle will be like the fireworks for wintersday but it will involve a dragon flying around kaeing or shing jea.

dunno why but i got a feeling the captain is gonna show up on the 4th. No special reason..just a feeling I get..and I have been known to be wrong so dont bet the farm on it.

As for the FoW rumor..can Canthians even get to the FoW without going into Propheses? It dont make sense for him to be there...but....if you are a Canthan and speak to Mhenlo on the docks after reaching level 20 he tells you of trouble back in Tyria with the undead. and remember there are gasphing ghouls there around Kyrta. I know that has been ingame since Factions launched but maybe..just maybe there is a tie in wiht the festival monsters and the gasping ghouls.?

Yea it was kinda strange how the main mosters in the PvE Tombs is the main reason for the quests in the event. Kinda spooky too. I hope there is a special area. Dig up somemore dirt everyone

Well, since some Canthan characters dont have access to Prophesies, perhaps its the heralding of another access to the Grasp of Insanities ruined Heroes ascent (ruined tomb of kings in prophesies), or the cleansing of it

Anyhow perhaps it will shed some light on these mysterious chaos born attacters, Grasps of insanity & The Darkness

Tomb of kings has been overrun by them, perhaps in cantha that naga cave will too.

Perhaps the Darkness killed Captain Rujiyo to keep him from spreading their secrets
