Emperor's Special Event **SPOILER**

The Emperor appears by the foot of the stairs and then walks up to the Fountain by the Storage in the Monastary. He appears every 2 hours from midnight Pacific time till Midnight again.

He gives a long speach and then hands out masks to anyone who has orbs. They appear in your inventory and the orbs dissapear.

Then he makes an exclamation about the foul beasts attacking the monastary and asks for everyones help repelling them from the event. This starts a 15 min timed event in the monastary where you must run around and gather up these celestial essence drops (dont remember the correct name sorry) and deliver them to sorccerers around the monastary edges.

The Grasps are also gathering these up and killing people who pick them up if they catch you (So bean cakes are usefull). You rez back a min or so later to continue in the race. The leader of the Grasps is a Ghost Knight on a Horse named The Fury

There are huge numbers that count how many you have turned in and how many the enemies have turned in. If you win then the Emperor sings his praise and fireworks start. They look really cool. Also presents start to spawn randomly around the area, usually near npc's and merchants which you can pick up. These are the same as the 25 ticket prizes. This goes on for a good 10 min or so, then the Emperor leaves.

Dragon Mask (Dyed Magenta)

He comes, he gives out masks, The Fury comes in out of nowhere and there's a lot of grasps, then everywhere except district 38 wins. The Fury does the whole "We'll be back" spiel, there's a lot of fireworks, and Festival Prizes drop off all the NPCs and merchants.

After that the entire town is in a contest. Return the celestial charges to the sorcerers before a grasp touches you.

When a grasp touches you with a charge in your hand, you die and they get a point.
When you return a charge to a sorc, your team gets a point.

Whoever is ahead after 15 mins determines the outcome.
Grasps ahead - everyone in District get killed over and over and over and over.
Players ahead - random festival gifts drop along with fireworks show.

If your District loses, just warp to another til you find a winner and you can still get in on drops.

Strategy: Drop the charge as a grasp gets close to you. It will run past and you can pick up the charge to run again. Ideally your district camps the spots instead of wildly chasing over the map.

Depending on your pc and connection you may get a lot of lag. I did and erred=7 while trying to move around. Best to just camp and watch if it's bad.

I got some lag and for a minute the landscape turned to snow, all white..anyway it was fun with gaile and the frog in the same dist

He was standing by the Sunqua Vale zone next to the henchies... He's a boss, ele type..



I still want mounts :P It seems they'd be appropriate for the environment we might have in Chapter 3... we'd need different outpost types and stuff for that though, something more open ended...

After looking through my screen shots I noticed something about the fireworks, some of them were bees from pre-sear.

Because he is a Necrid Horseman with a different skin, it's not really a mount.

Just one question: every 2 hours, is it every odd hours or even even hours?

Well I got booted 3x with error 7 and code 058 4x at least....be there and don't move till the emperor is done talking..by a fluke when he had said something about "lets pray for our comrades" or something to that effect i did do the /bowhead emote...which i guess from having been at the Halloween event was the way to win prizes and i thought wth not ---good thing cuz that is why i had the mask in time right before i got booted...my recommendation ---/bowhead and u should get your mask...

So does it matter if you're in a district with a lot of people or not? Does the number of Grasps scale to the number of people? Do the festival gifts?

If it doesn't scale I guess it would make sense to have as few people as you need to win, that way everybody gets more prizes. Right?
