Oh. Internosp was much more mature than this guy is. Have you noticed that 75% of the threads he has made have been banned?

I had a warrior figure out how adrenaline worked during the Abadons Mouth mission! It came as no surprise to me that he got run over and never played through the actual game! A player wearing full plate sitting in Iron Mines of Moladune asking what the difference was between expert and regular salvage kits, healing Monks that say that they won't use Divine Favor because 'it sucks', and Me/E's who think fast cast will make them uber-nukers are some of the idiots off the top of my head that I can remember grouping with who no doubt got run early in the game. I also remember one fellow who got rushed up into Ring of Fire without so much as being infused! The mursaat would drop him like a rock in 2 seconds and he'd still swear up and down that he had been infused, which was obviously bullshit. These are the kinds of idiots you have to deal with when you don't restrict the higher level areas. |
Theres no point in doing stuff you ahve already done. They need to unlock all towns after you beat hte game once on future chars.

You deserve exactly what you get, nothing more to discuss.
If you prefer, we can use a more politically correct terminology;
sloth, energy-challenged, feeble, pathetic, or any other term you care to apply.
The rest of your comments were simply inane and beating a straw man - I'll just leave it at that.

But hey, call it whatever you want. Right now several dozen people are running their characters through Lornar's pass oblivious to everyone here bitching about it endlessly.

I don't ever plan on paying someone to rush me... but I dont' see what the problem is.
My plan is to (now that i"m on my 3rd and 4th characters) play out the missions until I"m level 20 and then actually DO Lornar's Pass. I did it once and it took me 4 hours, but it was super cool. It was fun. I did it with my other char at end game and with my next I'll do it as soon as I"m level 20 to get better armor and make the rest of the missions a little easier.
am I cheating? not in the least.

Unreal thread, Im giving it this bump just because I think everyone should read it. It goes to show how people only see one side of a coin.
To the OP: Stop, think. You are definately a scammer when you do this. In real life, if you dont like a service do you then 'pretend' to buy it and after they are done go "HAHA, me no pay you (drool)?" Probably not, if so, how did you get internet access in prison?

Lornar's Pass was included for a reason. Apparently, many of you are forgetting the original premise of the game: to eliminate the tedium typical in online rpgs. Granted, ANET has not always lived up to this promise, but I think this is a good example of how they have strived to do so. I don't know about some of you, but I don't feel like redoing the exact same missions every single time I want to test out a new character in pve. If you think an alternative method is cheating, as Talesin puts in, you are an extremely close minded person. One particular method does not make it the best option or the fair option; they are all options.

There is a certain sign that A-Net doesn't mind people circumventing large portions of the game. Guess what it is? There is a connection between Beacon and Forge!
Baseline: If they'd think it would hurt the game, they'd sever that connection quite quickly, don't you think?
As for the player who didn't pay for the service he agreed to pay - you are just an ingame criminal that's all. (And no, I am neither a runner nor have I ever used their services, I have put three chars on Ring of Fire and played the whole game with each of them,)

To earlier thoughts in this thread of cutting apart the map or making it have another outpost where it checks to see if you have gone through the Dragon's Liar mission - why, when, say, I have only a few skills left to unlock for a particular class in Droknar's, would I want to go through 80% of the game again? Who cares about people in low level arenas using the best armor, go get it yourself instead of complaining. The second anyone does anything original, or that may give them a slight edge, people start complaining. "OH NOES, HE HAS AC 80 ARMOR!!!!1!!1!!!1ONE" - here's a thought; they only have, what, 200 health? Use health degen.

Why are you so threatened by people who you deem "lazy"? Obviously you are, otherwise you wouldn't put all this effort into condemning them.
What difference does it make to you that someone skipped over the easy lower missions so they can level up their new character faster? Why do you feel the need to lash out at people that do this?
I don't get it...

hmmm, what happens if I happen to be running with a runner and he dies halfway through and I end up getting the rest of the party there. Should we all still pay the runner that died or should I get the gold since, according to the terms, I was the one to get everyone to the forge?
Maxiemonster
Scamming Forge Runners isn't cool at all. They're just making their money that way. Think they ask too much? Go do it your self and don't rip them off just because you can't stand it that they get the chance to get that much money, and you don't.
Running from Beacon's Perch to Droknar's Forge is REALLY hard, and costs much time to handle. It's not just something you learn in one day, it will cost you many time of thinking what skills/armor/weapons you need, and lots of practicing. These monsters are strong, and you'll need to know every single monster you'll need to face by every move. Don't underestimate that road, and don't ever abuse the hard work of these people.

I hate these runners some/ most are scammers, I agree to pay because I have money, but I never find anyone who actually does the run. If you see Masta Of Doom, dont pay him, hes one of those droknar scammers.
