Simple, I have no need of a friends list since my actual friends are in my guild and 90% of the other players are reasonably safe to play with. After several months of gaming my ignore list is longer.... with only 1 person in it.

I leave people on my ignore list and then take them off in a week or so...so far, it has worked quite well

Useally bad tensions cool down and maybe after a DAY or so you can remove them because they don't bother you anymore... I dunno just a thought

EDIT: I would love to remove people after a day or even a week but every time I have the person comes back and starts bugiing me again.

I've yet to find a use for my ignore list. Nobody goes on it. Nobody bothers me. Although, there's dozens on my friend list.

I have never used my ignore list at all, but I think maybe a few have put my name down in theirs, I don't know why but the idiots never seem to bother me. They lose interest within 5 minutes. So I don't need to bother.

Not 1 person on my ignore list ever in 3 years of GW. Its not much of a problem ever anyway, but when I decide to ignore someone I actually ignore them. Works well for me. The ignore list is more of an in your face thing imo.

I think sometimes I put people on my ignore list when they don't do anything to directly bother me, but are just that special brand of knuckle-dragging retarded that makes me want to take the initiative. People who say "scrub" and think it offends people, for one.
I agree with the above groups, though you can split the silent group into ones that get the job done and ones that have no idea what's going on.

only 3 people are on my ignore list (and they should be ejected from the game not just ignored)....lots of people on my friends list---though more than half of them are never on any more.....actually I think that there are only a few people on my friends list that still even play-----------

my ignore list is in my head, putting somone on ignore usually only achieve what they wish, simply disregarding their comments is so much more irritating to them generally.

People who try to scam me usually end up on my ignore list so i know if i meet them again. But since chances are really small to meet them after a month or so i usually delete them from the list.

My ignore list are generally people who whisper me after an RA match. Used to be people from PvE, when I'd just got the game, until I finally learned about Nightfall and heroes ^_^ Those were good times, when everything was new and exciting.

I think some of you need to try being female - you'll then realize a "mental ignore-list" is just not sufficent .
I have raged at people to fcuk off if I don't have room on my ignore list, and they will still PM me saying the most awkward or inappropriate things. There are people on my ignore list that have been there for two years. I took one off one day to put someone else on, and that person PMed me within half an hour... some men/boys just don't get it.

My friends list is way longer then my ignore list, only because my friends are all in different guilds >.<
I have about 4 people on perma iggy, otherwise I remove people after a day or two. Also I've never ran into guys who want to be "OMG LETS CYBORZZZ" and keep bugging me all the time..I must be lucky :P

I remove people off my ignore list after about a day or two. Usually, they won't bother to message you back. I haven't had any problems with it anyway.

At the time of the original post, I had never used the ignore list either. 3 years later, its got alot of names on it now. Just a little reminder of how great the game was back then.

My ignore list is usually pretty active when I PvP a lot or I'm active in my officer role in my guild (we have pretty regular rules, no abuse, spam, begging, etc, etc).
As such my ignore list activity is usually dependent on how many people I've either ganked or kicked from my guild lately.
Regardless of the medium there are always bitter people around.

My friends list is full of friends, although not all play anymore. I only have a few ignored. It is much harder to go through a Friends list and delete friends than go through an ignore list and delete people././

I don't have a ignore list, because I put on Away as soon as I log in. and if someone I wish to play with whisper me, I'll reply, if someone I do not wish to play with whisper me, I am away :P~

I usually ignore them the old way, I don't answer. When someone insists I put him on ignore and remove him when I log off. That way I don't think "Wow how many jerks are there", so I enjoy the game.

One time, this character couldn't take no for answer. He kept pming me incessantly, offering me a spot in his guild. Boasting of a website, long and friendly roaster. I kept telling him that I would think about it and gave some excuse. He would pm me the next day in response to see if I had changed my mind or if the so called problem had been settled. Mind you, he was friendly on all accounts, just a little too vigorous with respect to recruiting. Eventually, enough was enough, put him on ignore, life goes on. About 3 months later, bored with nothing much else to do, I notice that he was still on there. I take him off, okay I think to myself, nice and tidy again. Guess what !!! He pms me a few minutes later asking me to join his guild.................

My ignore list is empty. On a rare occasion someone will upset me enough to go added to the ignore list. They are always removed later on that evening or the next day. Doesn't take long for someone to stop pming you once they clue in they have been ignored lol.

If i recall correctly, my Ignore list is empty. Chances are, that I'll never meet the idiots again, and as such, there is no need to waste time on them.
