Intentional Griefing and the Fissure of Woe
salja Wachi
i could care less who complains i call a spade a spade. what thta guy did is beyond the pale, he needs a thumping period!!!
drizzt134
why some people are just so narrow minded... darn this... tht person grieving is the same thing as people calling an entire group of 7 'noobs' or 'dumba*ses' and just quit in the most critical part of the mission. darn, I hate that. Serious they gotta do something for that...
Sierra
Wow, that is just crazy. Finding a good PUG is difficult enough, so I'd have been mad too. I don't care what kind of day the guy was having; there is no excuse for behavior like that. This guy is going on my ignore list, though hopefully I'll never have the pleasure of running into him.

Once again, a prime example of a need for a party "kick" function is given.
A-net should seriously consider implementing one. Forget screenshots, waiting for A-net to enforce the EULA. Let the people police themselves.
At least until A-net gets a glut of complaints how they were wrongfully exploited by the new "kick" system.
A vicious cycle methinks.

Yes what he did is beyond the pale but as someone took up about 5-10 posts saying I should be banned for *accedently* using the word harrased I feel that it is a good idea to make stuff sound all nice and pretty. I mean whats better: Getting in a surprise wack or having him know its coming?
Now I really got to sleep as its over an hour past my bed time (7:00 AM EST or GMT-5 being my bed time)

I don't agree with the OP at all.
As retarded as that guy can be, no one deserves public humiliation. Besides, it's been stated before that posting IGNs for such reasons is unfair and far from correct. Mods usually don't tolerate it either.

the only people who would not be angered by reading this topic are the greifers themselves. i am sure you all know who you are.

My post wasn't intended to serve as a gang bang on the perpetrator. It was to spread the news about his defection and prevent anyone else from getting this treatment via knowing of his actions and adding him to their ignore lists.
Notice that in the photographs, I said my intent was for him never to get a party for it again. Whether people find it necessary to remind him of his actions is the community's own decision and isn't supported or condemned by myself.
I do feel, however, that one must pubically be exposed if he or she poses a threat to a long time of work, and intend to see that nobody else goes through this with this character.
I've dropped the matter with him ingame. All I'm concerned about personally now as an affect of his actions is between me and Arenanet. Whether they ban him or suspend him is not my choice, but I am going to do my best to have this player learn not to do such juvenile things to players.
I appreciate the strength among the GW community. Knowing that he will not find as many parties to grief gives me some manner of content. Ultimately, however, I want to be able to reach a conclusion that deals with all, and not just this, griefer. I hope that one of the developers' PR posters can read this situation and take the appropriate measures to assure that this threat can be minimalized.

I am glad when people get exposed for crap like this. I had a monk in a FoW group the other day who did something really classy. Everyone died in a nasty little battle except for him. Well, while we were dying, we took some of the enemies out with us. Fortunately, a rare gold item dropped and we all got excited. However, the monk came over, sat on the ground, and just waited until the item became fair game since it was not his drop. He refused to rez us because he wanted the drop. Obviously, none of us had a choice. We were dead. So, he screwed us real good and all we could do was map out and put him on our ignore list.
I think people like that should be exposed and the community should make them pay for their behavior. If we don't do anything about it as a community, then we are basically condoning that type of behavior.

ya its pretty sad when people steal things, i think they should just take away the whole wait five minutes and it goes public thing, i hear too much about people who do this
Orochim4ru
Wow, you cheesed him off, and probably told him off in game, which seems to be what he's hinting at, then he drops your group and you retaliate by trying to blacklist him?
Honestly, why don't you just take all the skilled players you had and go another round. Finding 6 power players in one round is a godsend. I don't see why you'd waste your time over something this stupid. Harrassing him, however, was an incredibly stupid move. Unless he gets banned, he's probably going to be more inclined to grief as an outlet for frustrations, and if he does, he has all the fodder he wants to ban that entire guild.
Just get over it, go find some shards, do wailing lord because it gives 20k xp for minimal work, and then go suicide yourself into the burning forest. Fun for all.

Funny thing, whenever im at ToA that person is always there. I've been with them to fissure before. He/She was always complaining and got us killed at the beginning.

what was his name, i will spam him when he is on

look at the pics on the first page. It is the name beginning with a T and the last name with a S.

Just to let players know: We blocks accounts every hour of every day. We take the proofs submitted to us and we mute players, action accounts, remove unpleasant names, censor guild names, set suspensions of sometimes weeks at a time and even, sometimes, outright ban. We're not catching every single bad player, but we're definitely making a dent amongst the problem players, and we'll continue to do so, every day.

Thanks for the good work of you and your compadres, Gaile Gray. Just a little while ago, while waiting in the Temple of the Ages for the Fissure of Woe and Underworld areas to open up, I was experiencing tons of racism fly back and forth. Being a nice guy, I politely asked them to stop because no race or country deserves ill-founded hate-mongering of that magnitude. After this failed, I asked them to blame a ficticious or unrelated place to replace the areas and peoples that they blamed for their troubles; someone blaming Antarctica and the darn Penguins for beating them in the Hall of Heroes is a bit more pleasant than what they were currently saying. Even this simple request failed.
So, I took a screenshot and reported the whole district. This racism fuels up every time a team from America wins a battle in the HoH and only increases in fervor as we come closer to taking favor. I received the confirmation e-mail of the ticket instantly and went back to trying to find a group so we could go in as soon as we got favor - - I minimized the game and refreshed after a span of 2 minutes and a GM was already hot on the persuit of those in the screenshot.
ArenaNet is very much dedicated towards making this game suitable for everyone and I thank them for what they have done.

I have to agree, with all the drops nerfing I would do the same.
Mind you that is because of the nerf, before I had no problem in letting loot I could not use being unassigned and someone that want it pick it up since I could always go back for more but now ...

thats why I play mostly with my guild members or with henches too many nastys who try to screw up the missions etc
if a player gets bad I just tell team not to res him let him go rest of mission might have to put up with his silly drawings on mini map
and have a dance on him about the only time u will see my chars dance but he would rush in and aggro 3 groups etc so was really bad
team had a good laugh and we moved on better off as a team without him

Yes, to harass and to get your whole guild to do it?
Juvenile to say the least. I wouldn't quite say it deserves a banning but a few character wipes wouldn't be too bad

Publicly flogging this guy solves nothing. Put him on ignore and move on with life. He just has nothing better to do than grief. I've had crap said and done to me in the game as well but like I always say, its a game and its not worth losing sleep over.

And trying to hang it all on "the nerf", Drakron? How pathetic. That's as dumb as someone attempting to justify warezing things because they can't be bothered to earn the money to buy it in the first place.
The only thing of any actual worth in this game is the enjoyment people get out of playing it, and you guys think that somehow you're entitled to spoil that for others simply because items are "valuable"?? Dingleberries.
You'd both be crying to your wet-nurses in a second if the same thing happened to you though.

Bingley Joe: While I love the term you've used to describe a couple others on this forum...try to come up with something a little less....acerbic. We don't need an otherwise entertaining discussion to turn into another flame war. Got enough of those as is.

I never did get how that term started.

Yeah this guy probably wants this attention BTW. How many times has this sort of thing happend to you though. I'm guessing maybe some of the first times ever cause your taking this way out of proportion. Let him get away with something like that and let someone else (hopefully in real-life) do the dirty work for you. All this time spent posting these messages could have been time spent back in FoW with those other good players on your list. You'll never ever get rid of people like this with a simple 2 hour banning or muting. Don't lose any sleep over this guy.
Rasp
I doubt A.Net would ban him over something so petty. I wouldn't consider it grief play.
Thank goodness you don't play on a real PvE/PvP MMORPG. I doubt you'd be able to handle it.

You guys keep talking to me as though I'm still actually worried about this. Have you checked the time stamp of my last post in this topic?
This subject is ye olde. Let Anet deal with it. I'm over it.
