What in the world happened? o.o

Yesterday I got my first obsidian shard ever and I look and I can only sell it for a piddly 100 something gold (looks like i'll have to sell to players)

Ontop of that.... I CANT FIND ECTO OR SHARDS ANYMORE IN ThE MATERIAL/RARE MATERIAL TRADER VENDORS!

Unless I am blind then do say so, or if you have noticed this too then say so.

ya its not only those materials.
Bolts of damasc i had to run to a crafter for my wifes aeromancers armor.

Seems as they pay low prices for stuff... noone is selling so there are no stock of rare wanted crafting materials.

People are probably immediately buying them the second those appear. The stock is controlled by Buying and Selling. And as the prices for selling to them dropped to almost nil... people are no longer selling those things to them, thus totally depleting the stock off these things. And as soon as someone DOES sell... the price skyrockets. Last i've seen for Ecto was 13 k.

Basically here's the problem...

The trader has a limited replenished supply that gets bought up fairly fast.

On top of that, nobody wants to sell to the trader because he's only offering like 1 plat for ecto (then he turns around and charges 13 plat, ha! my ass). So everyone including me, just sells their ecto for around 10k over trade channels instead of selling to the trader.

The trader's math is RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed up. If he was offering reasonable prices for buying my ecto, then the overall price would go down since more people would sell directly to him. But we're being ripped off so we all use the trade channel.
