Normal chat channel has your name in one color and your message in a different color. The team and whisper channels do the same. Why the hell does the trade channel (the spammiest and most jumbled channel of them all) only have your name and your message in ONE pinkish-orange color? Not only is that channel hard to follow with all the WTS/WTB messages, but it's very hard on the eyes trying to distinguish between separate messages in that channel. Everything looks like one garbled, pinkish-orange MESS.
At the very least, I wish ANet would add different colors for your username and message in the trading channel, and I like the idea that someone mentioned earlier about alternating colors every message or something. While I'd like some sort of revised trading/selling system built into the game eventually, I think the unicolor trade channel has to be fixed ASAP.
ASAP.
As for selling stuff, I never have that much problem selling any of my stuff. I sell my stuff fairly cheap though. I'd rather make 70% of my desired price in 30% of the waiting time because that's more efficient than holding out for the one big-money sale that you sucker someone into maybe once a night if you're lucky. At least this way I can spend the other 70% of my night farming, helping others with missions, etc., and acquiring more items, gold, and XP.
What's the point? It's all WTS WTS WTS!

Has anyone mentioned seperate WTS, WTB, WTT channels??
Right now the options are:
!All, @Guild , #Team, $Trade, "Whisper
It should be reorganized to :
!All , @ Guild , #Team , $Trade All , %WTS , ^WTB , &WTT , "Whisper
That way you could turn off the ones your dont want to see and still search with relative ease the ones you do want to see.
And maybe a *WTF channel for all the ppl who are nagging and complaining
Just one humble mans opinion.

Well for once im happy GW doesn't have a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge selection of super rare, super awesome weapons. Can you imagine the flood that it would cause? I bet WTS in itself would drive the lag up :P

I have tried selling some really elite bows, some with very low reqs, forttude mods, high vampiric mobs etc. A lot of rangers come to show off their better bows which is always amusing since often they are not. I found it easier to break up bows and sell the upgrades. The only time this isn't viable is if the bow has a +30 fortitude mod or 5:1 bow string that they are worried will not get salvaged.

try addressing you target audience...in your case
RANGERS: selling Max DMG bows 15-28 various mods...no reasonable offer turned down...
thats what I write...more or less

Even though GW isn't too item-based, it does need a Player shop/Auction House/Flea Market system desperately. The way it is now, finding someone to trade with is impossible. It feels like a single player game.
