Really and you don't do the exact same thing in GW? Aside from killing things repeatedly there is crafting, mining, herbology, ect in WoW. Seamless zones where you can actually interact with people out in the different areas.

So ummm let's see you can get to the carrot in GW in a month or two (maybe less) and either repeat the same thing with another character or buy another game til the expansion comes out. Oh yea you can PvP in the arenas. Personally I like the fact that you can raid a town or conversly defend a town in WoW.

and yes I saw the video yesterday..just to stay on subject

Can YOU point out the point of Guild Wars?

Oh yeah, it's easy actually. It's identical to Diablo 2, Counterstrike, Unreal, Battlefield, and a laundry list of other similar mass market games.

Take a load of unimportant ragtag clans full of *DUMACHUM* talking junior high students in the prime of the "I'm full of myself" phase (or immature college students) and throw them together in pvp where the outcome doesn't amount to jack. And then give them a couple of mediums to argue and proverbially fellate themselves over their own self styled importance.

Keep the profanity off our forums.

GW is not a persisting world. This carries its own advantages and disadvantages. One of the disadvantages is not being able to traverse a seamless world or have events, caused by players, to create content. One of the advantages is that the amount of griefing is lessened with the freedom of movement and the ability to spawn your own world to complete a quest if neccacary.

Simple. For me to have fun in the evenings without having to explain to the wife why there's an extra $15 per month disappearing of the credit card.

I enjoy the challenge in building up the skill base, now am taking a crack at PvP.

Two nights ago, got picked up in a group... won three in a row!

My first wins in PvP, and I was a contributor.

Enjoy the little things.

You sir have a low IQ.

Guildwars is nothing like Diablo 2, you obviously never played Diablo 2, in my personal opion nothings like Diablo 2 even though it started all these 12 year olds playing ORPGS.

My last a final words here are, If you are playing WOW you are playing a game that is made by Blizzard the people who brought you Diablo 2

The people who said they where going to release a godly patch for diablo 2 . . . . for 2 years . . . TWO WHOLE GOD DAMNED YEARS and when they finaly do. . . what dose it do? Nothing you have to rebuild and start over and it was still gay. I shun Blizzard for its inablility to do anything except Starcraft right, it cant put out updates in a timely manner and it gives false promises and spoils the hope of anyone. It half heartedly dose its job. WOW is crack for retards who want to mindlessly level and do nothing more then as such. GW requires a whole level of thinking that WOW cant even come close to.

As Forest Gump would put it "thats all i got to say about that"

PS. I have never heard the word newb in GW, Diablo 2 on the other hand, any Blizzard game on the other hand.

And i did watch the video im sorry for disrespecting the aim of your thread but i couldnt help myself.

Just thought I would mention that the nude characters in WoW are done client-side only. People replace the clothing image files in their WoW directories with stuff the game engine doesn't recognize and so it isn't shown, leaving their character "naked".

Yes, I was looking for some armor screenshoots (I am thinking of playing WoW) and run into a tread that said just that.

And *GASP* Anet is an offshoot from Blizzard and we're BOTH here....

Im just biding my time for Vanguard or D&D online. If it means giving Blizzard a few bucks, even though they suck BORK out loud, so be it. I'm not going to get EQ2 as I am boycotting Sony, same with SquareSoft.

Enjoy a time out.

You are going to find yourself out of companies who still attempt to produce quality material in the near future.

The "future" was 1994 in console games and whatever year Looking Glass died for PC games.

My comments were more directed at 'the grind' the poster was talking about. If they are referring to the grind is seeing the exact same characters repeatedly over and over you are doing the exact same thing in GW. In fact I would say that there is a far less selection of mobs in GW.

I was also pointing out that there is far more to do in WoW, and I haven't seen too much griefing.

And more to the point you make is a persistant world has nothing to do with seamless zones.

Cant have a world with one global location in a online game without the world being persisting, even though there are persisting worlds that are segmented.

That's the end of the thread.
To Off-Topic it might have belonged.
If only it could be discussed without rancor.
Don't repost, don't swear.
Thanks for your time.
