Well I have to go with Astronomy as the most boring class. The professor had such a monotone voice that I was asleep by the second sentence in spite of some heavy duty coffee.

As far as Guild Wars is concerned I am bored by the warrior class. Click on an enemy and wait until they fall over. How exciting is that. (Just kidding BTW)

I love playing mesmer. Trying to make life hell for as many people (or monsters) as possible is a blast to me. You guys who say mesmer is boring are on crack...or else you're not playing the class correctly

Rangers are medium fun, depends what you're doing. If you're setup to lay down lots of traps it can be fun trying to outsmart the enemy, but doing something lame like spirit spamming gets boring fast.

The most boring class to me is probably monk. Click name, push button, repeat.

Healing monks, in my opinion are a very fun class. You can easily get through missions, you get to be one of the most protected persons in the group, you can watch alot of the action from the back.

Prot monks are even more fun becuase you get to watch even more fun becuase you don't have to look at health bars very much. In GvG my prot monk is usually the person to fix the catapult becuase I can spam Martyr and Aegis from any distance

Most boring class? I don't really think there is one. Probably warrior or ranger in the first part of post-searing.

Java. God I hated that class, our proff. spoke kinda bad, semi-broken english(Indian woman). So there was trouble understanding her, and then during the second week of class she goes "And since java isn't a structure-based language(like COBOL, which is what most of us had just taken), I'm not going to worry about structuring my code, because it's not necessary." Oh boy. Nothing like trying to learn a programming language where the proff's code jumps all over the freaking place; objects, variables, declarations, everything all kinda randomly put in wherever the hell her cursor happened to be at the moment. Man that class could totally sap your will to continue living. The only saving grace was our TA, who was a young, asian, and extremely hot girl.

oh, right, GW classes? Hmm, how about...No, so far they've all been fun and interesting. I guess my axe-based W/Me got kinda dull at the end, but mostly because I just couldn't figure out what to do with him. So, I deleted him and replaced him with a Me/E that I hope to build into a "Screw You, Spellcaster!" type Dom/Inspiration/Some element or another spiker. Very interesting, very different from my usual builds, but very hard to find a party with.

I've had tons of fun with my Mesmer, Hyrdas go BOOM! Could never get a Ranger out of Pre-Searing out of boredom. So they get my vote. Though I have never tried a Monk or Necro.

And I've never had a problem finding groups with my mesmer. Hell half the time their saying "Holy crap, we can never find a mesmer here." If someone doesn't think a mesmer isn't worth a spot on their team, well thats their loss.

Haha. I just say: "Mesmer/Necro with WELL OF POWER LFG."

That's the key phrase since pugs are too addicted to that spell and I'm in no hurry to change their minds about that.

Otherwise I'm going to have to look for another magic phrase again :|

Sounds like my class...

Most boring, any second character you make after playing your first one for an extensive amount of time. I started an ele twice, monk once, and ranger three times before I finally decided to keep the ranger. Post searing bores the hell out of me, and I don't look foreward to the agonizing PUGs along the way. Ah thank god for henchmen.

I wouldn't say that. I like playing a sword W/mo in the random areans sometimes, I can say you can get very creative with it

W/mo isn't a bad class, just alot of people go off and use smites with it, or go pure warrior and think they can heal with 6 healing O.O ... Blargh!

Funny enough I knew that I'd never play a ranger when I bought the game, it was such a boring class. Then I played one, and I love them.

If I had to pick a class as being boring to play it'd be elementalist. Zap zap zap zap....

I took English 101 my freshman year of college. I really like English, so I figured it would be a fun class. My professor sucked beyond all reason. I only went to class about 1/3rd of the time. Still got a C at least. And playing healing monk isn't really "boring", it's just a different kind of game. You have to get used to watching the party menu more than you watch the screen, and I think that's what most people find boring about it. Monks definately have to put up with the most crap though (not saying that there are not quite a few monks who deserve any crap you can give them). Most boring to play to me...probably warrior or elementalist.

Rangers and Mesmers are actually the most fun on my list. Slow to start, but once they get could everyone hates to fight them.

You know if you but on some protection skills on a Warrior/Monk they can go out and solo like a Monk/Warrior.It is the only one that can do it and put some points in protection.

To you. I enjoy rangers, to me their great fun.

This whole thread is based on perspective and therefore cannot be factually based. Everyone's opinion is right to them.

Red Sonya

An opinion is basically the same as a vote. No matter which candidate I vote for, it's my "opinion" that they are the best candidate, therefore it is "factual" for each individual instance. Just because people don't agree with other peoples opinions doesn't make them no factual. They are for a matter of a fact the factual opinion of each individual, thus when we vote, we basically just give our opinion and the most opinions wins the election or the poll.

It isn't factual for each instance, it's perceived as factual although there's no hard data supporting it. Perception of something as being fact doesn't make something fact, regardless of the strength of belief of the individual.

I have to agree. Ranger seems to get a bad deal. Ilove my Ranger - He's a very versatile guy, and can trap for half of Ascalon.

I also agree with Warriors. You hit, then hit some more, and then hit some more. I'm sure there's a lot more to the Warrior than just clicking on a target and watching your character pummel them, but I can't see it at the moment....

There's plenty of "hard data" look at all the posts saying rangers are the most boring. One opinion is just an opinion. Several opinions soon become facts and the president.

Does this comment have any relavence?

On topic:
Why does everyone pick on the ranger? They are a very fun class from the little I've seen of them. Why don't you go try that quickshot build everyone is talking about now?

Quote:

How much different is selecting your target, watching them through balls of air out of their wand, pressing 1 2 3 for spike skills from hitting your target, building adrenalin and hitting 1 2 3 for knockdown, aftershock, heavy blow? O.o

There's also alot more to the sword warrior than just hitting stuff...

This whole thread is just a bunch of people saying how they don't like classes THAT THEY NEVER EVEN PLAYED o.o

Adrenaline management and knockdown timing, thats fun. Swinging blindly with a pointy stick... well, you have a point. Oh, and if you like seeing huge damage, Judges Insight is a fun skill to utilize

I have a Ranger, Mesmer, and Ele, love em all, though the Me is by far the toughest to use correctly. To me, monks are very boring, but then again its personal preference.

Wouldn't that be a good reason to go ranger?

Besides... the underworld can be quite fun when you see half a dozen smites suddenly go poof and disappear as you run them over your traps... the big floating thingies, too... flame traps on them can be quite lovely.
