warrior tattoo armor
Lamentations
I think it is an ok idea, when I think of warriors with tattoo armour it brings to mind the Maori warriors of New Zealand, who used tattoos for... I ca't quite remember what as it has been a long time since my visit to NZ, but I think it was either to scare enemies, or as a ritual for completing something. I'm not sure but one of these concepts would work, or something like to show their dedication to balthazaar.
As far as in-game use, perhaps they give bonuses to strength to represent their favoured status of the gods, or they give extra tactics to represent the leadership bonuses when wearing the inspiring tattoos. Maybe even to break up their body outline, as a whole regiment of guys wearing only tats charging at you would make it hard to distinguish individuals to shoot, so perhaps +extra armour or evastion against ranged attacks.
On the other side, it does seem to be contradictive to the current image areanet has displayed with their warrior class, so perhaps tattoos are best kept to monks and necromancers.

Undressed
Most Germanic/Gallic tribes had warriors with body painting/tatoos, some even fought naked (the famous Gaesatae) and were feared a lot. Stating that this idea is nonsense because a warrior shouldn't look like an ape or be clad in fully mail/platemail/gothic armour, speaks volumes about your mental retardation. I wouldn't mind a tatoo armour with 75AL but improved adrenaline gain, and the name "Berserker" even fits.

How would tatoo armour give you the very strong armour that warriors already have?

It's a fantasy RPG styled game. Why not?
Though, I think the "berserker" would be better geared towards a class in itself, rather than just a simple armor. Either way though, I think it would be cool.

Assuming that 1 adrenaline strike is 25 points, and as such an adrenaline skill that needs 4 strikes is 100 points, when you get hit, the amount of hp you lose per hit adds up as points. So if you get hit for 50 dmg you'd get 2 strikes of adrenaline.
Maybe if the tattoo armor would add 25% more adrenaline points when hit but have a lower armor rating it would still be balanced. Something like 60 armor +20 vs physical, 25% more adrenaline when hit (local effect, not global). If it would be implemented like that I would sign for it.

If the people in guild wars can enchant tats on monks and scars on necros to protect them from a sword, then a warrior could go into battle, pumped and ready with his enchanted tats, and gain extra adrenaline or have armor boosts while under a chant or shout. I don't see it as out of the realm of possibility to make tats for warriors. I don't argue that it shouldn't have less base armor but there could be stat boosts in other areas to balance the armor - maybne even add a small chance to evade attacks due to the light weight (nearly weightless).

No way man... A warrior is supposed to be heavily armored and have big swords, axes or hammers. Tattoo's on them? Not a chance

Armor have a fixed 80AR, +20Physical +2regen.
And Tattoos... I don't find it very nice for Warriors... they are supossed to be the guys in the armor.

Yeh but after having all those tattoos your Wammo skin would be swollen as hell therefor you feel no pain whatsoever due to the skin numbness :]

Again you all need to stop thinking of GW as real life. Saying warriors need Big bulky armor and tatoos would do nothing for them like in real life just shows your inability to tell the dif between Real life and fantasy. And it has been shown all through history that the warriors with tatoos and very little armor have been the feircest ever. QUIT THINKING REAL LIFE WHEN YOUR TALKING ABOUT A GAME. Would a real warrior ever be able to raise his arm in the air and gain 60 - 100 health? No so this should not be in the game according to some of you. Also look at Galdiators armor.. Its not big or bulky and covers very little on the warriors body. So according to some of you this also does not belong in the game. Come on People Its a pretty good idea, And NO KIDDING SOME PEOPLE WONT LIKE IT.

I guess when some people play warrior, they want to look like a knight. Personally, if I played warrior, would prefer to look like Conan. Conan armor, FTW, heh. Conan the Destroyer
Different strokes for different folks.
