Perfect way To Nerf 55/105 monk UW soloers

Now I probobly shoulden't be saying this as I am currently createing a UW solo monk myself. But what if The Devs Raised the prices of superior runes in stalls and lowered the HP Drop? This way monks would be unable to lower their health so far rendering them mostly useless.

1st off, people were still buying the things when they were 60k before the economy reset. Raising prices won't help. Not to mention the strain it would put on new monks.
2nd, lowering the health drain on the superior monk runes is stupid. That effect will give monks a big advantage in every other part of the game.
If they decide to nerf the 105/55 build, there are several more efficient ways to do it.

If you want the monk build nerfed so bad, why dont you cry about the solo warrior/necro/ele builds. Anybody with google can figure out how to do it, there's nothing to fix.

Who really cares about the 105/55 builds? A nerf is fine with me so long as no skills are nerfed and chillblaines arn't added to aatxes or any crap like that.
You people do realize that the 105 build actually lowers most prices? They have lowered ecto prices by a good amount (about 4K each). They have made an influx of weapons and items.

Because you can't find a monk? I never have that trouble as I have some guildes and monks on my friends list who are happy to come along to whatever. Nerfing the 105 build is very simple. make protective bond not take only 1 energy at protectoin prayers 17. Make it take 2 like it does at 16.

Could make Protective Bond a "target other ally" only skill, that would do the trick.
My biggest reason for nerfing it is because of the lack of monks available for groups now. I could care less if it's lowered the price of ecto by 4k, I can make that in no time. But, I can spend a lot of time waiting for a group with a monk or monks needed for them.
Warriors soloing isn't a problem, there's definitely a large population of warriors for groups so it's ok if they can solo stuff. Mesmers & Necros & Rangers also, but, not Elemetals, we need them for groups also.
So nerf the monks and bring back faster groupings for missions and UW/FOW again.

Is has evolved to a degree where as soon as a "true" monk player shows up for a party the people are in awe to what the monk class can really do if they are played well, to the point of near invulnerability.
If the 105 Monk is nerfed, a lot of those run monks will just get deleted anyways as their purpose is done then. Does that make more monks available for your team? No.

So instead of nerfing the 105 monks... please leave it as it is. I'm tired of the poor played monks that arise from this. If it gets nerfed some of those monks will get deleted and the other will swarm the land. Yikes. I can allready see the massive complaints about the newly monk armada. :/

a very simple reason why ANY Mo solo build should be nerfed:
it is unfair to players who do not have a primary monk.
as simple as that. i have a W/Mo, R/N, Me/R and 1 slot for a pvp char...
i couldnt even create a farming monk, even if i wanted to, cause i dont want to delete any of my lvl20 chars.
so every1 who has no monk, has the disadvantage of not being able to farm alone. especially in europe this is a great disadvantage as we cant be around UW/FoW all day but only every night once we get favor. for some1 who is working and cannot stay up till 3 in the morning, that leaves not much time for farming ecto & obsidian...
btw @ topic suggestion:
hell i wont sign that! lowering hp drop would really get even better monks than it is now...

a */mo cant since it requires monk runes to run the build effectively tho they can run an altered build with protective spirit

And about the other argument about them doin the team arena's. If you know people are running the 105 build in arena's, why wouldn't you bring a single form of enchant removal? Its called the metagame.

the problem about the arena is not, that i cannot kill them, but that they are in my team, unable to heal, being completely ignored by the enemy and in the end getting kicked by a ranger with life deregen...
they are completely useless and ruining a game.
i remember only 1 time, where we were 3 W and 1 ele and couldn't kill one of those, while unable to remove anything or do deregen. however, he was as well unable to harm me with his balth. aura, so the fight went on for minutes until i left in disgust. he just had to sit there forever, having his mending and we could not do more than 2 dmg each.
i tried to explain above. if you are still not convinced, i cannot say more.
they are completely useless and ruining a game.

As for being on the Euro server thats also your choice, personally I'd suggest you moving to the American server. You get favour a lot more that way.
Basically your point boils down to "I can't or more accurately won't make a monk build therefore nobody else should either". Seems a bit selfish to me.

WHY is it everyone always wants to NERF the hell out of everything? For god's sake almost any class can solo - the auto nerfage of drops when one enters an area to many times is sufficiant. Quit complaining!

you cant force me to team noob w/mo's who take no defensive stance/spell or ele's who try to tank everything then bitch at me when I cant heal them for 300 life per second - nerf whatever we will still be soloing somewhere somehow, not grouping random, strategy lacking newbs for missions
if they somehow mess up and really nerf the uw with enchant rending mobs in the front room.. ecto is headed to 20k+ prices... then we have 2 big groups of people whining:

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned it, but all you have to do to get rid of soloing builds that use enchantments like invicimonks is have more monsters mixed in with the current ones that strip enchantments. No changing of skills necessary.

Who cares if they can solo the UW or not... if you are that bent out of shape about it, create a monk and get him ready to go do it yourself... it shouldn't take that long to setup.

But the point is that someone figured out how to do it with the monk by playing the game, experimenting, rinse, repeat.... No one has just been able to figure it out with the other professions yet. You want to take away someone's hard work (these solo farm builds didn't just fall out of the sky).
My point is, if you have an issue with it, go try it for yourself with a different profession or create a monk if you want to farm. I don't solo farm the UW, but I don't care if other people do. If I get to where I want to solo farm, then I'll level up my monk or experiement with different builds.

The answer to all of these questions is... no, only a few did so. So why... oh why do you insist on nerfing the monk farming? I just do not understand that. Let them have that build, it doesn't matter to me. I'm playing a monk myself, tried it one or two times with great success and a lot of boredom before it became the mega hype. Thats when i stopped doing it as it bored me to death. I'm just saying this so no one implies personal selfish motivation in my statement.
What i fail to grasp here is, why should the monks get heavy nerfs while every other class is allowed to carry on? Could anyone give me a valid reason with former logic backup behind it that is not made up out of... well made up numbers...
And again, as i feel my former argument being misunderstood. A lot of those people who made the monk to farm the Underworld made it for that sole purpose and will just delete it when it gets nerfed. And the few that started to like the class while farming down there are mostly poor played monks.
To give a somewhat picturelike comparison: Take a medieval Priest and force him to engage the hyperspace drive of your Starship. Boom. Failure is like a written plot by then.
Would you want such a medieval priest in charge of your precious hyperspace drive? Probably no. Why do you want poorly played monks in charge of your health then? This is basically asking for the same thing. A guaranteed failure.
I'm making that up a bit from myself, but to be a good monk player you need dedication and a deep will to accept your support role (well and a bullshit load of bashing and complaints from lousy players ^^). I'd never prefer to go into those places alone with my monk if i don't have too and every good played monk i got the honor to play with, thought along. Those are the ones you want in your team, not the farmers and stuff. Sure they have Monk labeled on their class, but just like every fake, it's not the real thing .
Not to mention it takes a lot of time to get a monk to work. A long long process you just can't skip (and certainly should not skip) to become a good player. Even if the 105/55 Farmingmonk understood that Mending is a big no no when fighting in several places, he will have a lousy... LOUSY energy management and run dry real fast. That is the magic i'm speaking about. Those just didn't learn to manage their energy. Sure they can spam now and then, even the most dumb kid can do that.
But what if the energy is used up? You'll notice those monks being sitting ducks while you see the good ones keep on casting like they have infinite energy (this is probably what made some wa/mos rush mobs, they did happen to have a truely dedicated monk ^^)

well if they nerf the monk patience i can live with it, but i surpassed the fase where i want to go UW or FoW no matter wich group.

whenever i use farming, i mean solo-farming UW. nothin else should be mentioned in this topic like griffin-runs or whatever.
i'm not complaining about anything else. and why am i complaining about this? because the UW/FoW is not made to be solo farmed. FoW armor does not cost ecto, so you have to solo farm to get it, but to spend a great amount of time getting it. that's what the developers intended for this part of the game, and not that ppl go soloing there.

On that part we can only wait and should not make another, and yet another and another post about the monk farming. I really do hope Arena.net does not give in to those that scream the loudest.

The best way to stop it without screwing everyone else over is to add necro mobs with soul leach since life steal isn't effected. For everyone else, its just a hex to remove, for a soloer, that one cast for removal with soul leach on could be your death.

You do know that with this build, there is the entire rest of the UW that this build can not take on solo? I hate people who complain about this for the only reason that they either can't do it themselves, or think Monks are purely for healing others.

Personally, it started for me when me and my fiance went out to lornars and I was able to protect him as he fought stuff. When the full build was perfected... well to be honest. I went on vacation a couple days after I fixed myself up (paid only 1k for all my super runes ) I thought by the time I got back home the skills would be changed.
People only care because monks heal. Ele/War/Ranger farmers..? what about them? Not so much of a big deal here is it.....
Precisely. I (we all did/do) used to, and still, solo with my Ele and my warrior LONG before anyone starting messing around with two team and finally solo monk builds....... Other classes are actually more versatile than the monk build simply because they don't die in one shot without enchantments....

Nah not at all.. before the 17/-1 was figured out it was all done with essence/balths to balance out the -2. Soloing still very much possible.
Monks have always been harder to come by.
Fair enough. However, You can farm just as efficiently with a W/Mo... the build is floating around out there. Ok no, maybe you can't solo the UW... however you can make a nice profit on just about anything else... Simply BUY your ecto :P hehe.

I think I'm done rambling. If they nerf it.. fine. I'll set up a two-team.. and I'll all purpose farm with my W/Mo or my E/Mo ... so then we can nerf those classes too... :/

I think people are being greedy and only thinking about themselves, i.e. I can't get a monk for UW so lets nerf the soloing monks so they come on our team!
