My suggestions.
Fully customizeable armor based on materials. (if I have a feather I can apply that material to my helmet to put it on it...if I have 10 feathers and red dye, I can put a plume in my helmet. Etc etc)
Two handed swords/axes (these would leech off sword/axe skills and attrib and would do more dmg eg two handed axe is 8-32 two handed sword 16-26, so you do more dmg but the downside is... :-o no shield (their attack rate would also be slowed to NOT as slow as hammer, but NOT as fast as regular sword/axe)
Wielding two weapons (you may wield two weapons (axes for example) however do NOT allow uprade stacking, so if u have axe A 6-28 +21 HP and axe B 6-28 +24 HP you DONT get +45 HP, you only get to use the mods on the axe in your right hand. the bonus is u do more dmg, but dont have a shield and so take more dmg yourself.
New weapons: Ranger - two handed crossbow (faster fire rate, reduced range, reduced max dmg to 14-26) Warrior - Staff/Spear handles like a hammer, SLOW, but unlike hammer you can wield a shield, the spear would have 14-27 dmg so it's more of a defence weapon.
these are all my ideas, obviously if implemented youd have to play test them to balance them out etc.

hm..lots of nice sugestions...
Guild hall stuff....yeah, we all say we need sometihng else for the Halls...so training areas, tavern, practice areas or even just being able to 1-1 for training there and play Tag! for teaching team work would be usefull
RP stuff....clothes (useable by any class, gender only though), bars, the Henchmans Arms (so the poor henchies arent standing about in the cold/wind/wet/hot sun)
a place called the Gathering House. you go there if you want to group up....so if i want a group, i dont have to stand about looking thru lists of LFG, i know that what you are after, so i go there and instead say...Necro/monk with <insert skills here> for hire/free and dont have to wory about it outside....
PvP and PvE stuff.....add a script to the arenas that will take your armour off your body and stash it in your inventry if its considered too high for the arena you are in....(stop the droks armour in lower arenas)
alow PvE players to *rent* a set of the same armour that the PvP guys can have, so that if you want to compete the same way, at same level, you can *rent* this set and go play...when your done, it goes back in the box as soon as you leave arena.
(granted, you might have to not alow this renting for the same low level arenas, but meh....so long as it helps)
general....
alow the use of second class runes (minor thru to major, not superior) so that you can at least use the runes you find....so a monk/necro can boost their blood or death magic with a fwe runes, while poping most of thier points in their monk abilites ect
more staff styles....they are too same old, ether a air style, a wooden stick, well thats all i seem to find....i want some nice, shiny, WIZARD looking staffs.....dragon claws with glowing orbs in its claw, wooden ones with crystals growing outa the end..even a plain old quaterstaff looking one..a few ones with feathers, for the rangers with mage specializations...

If your post has more Exclamation Points than it has sentences it's probably not worth reading.
Anyway
1. New classes skills etc...
2. New PvP content (thats right PvP take that PvEers!) like another 8 player PvP area that has different goals etc.
3. A competent ignore system. Somehow an ignore system that only blocks whispers and can only hold 10 names isn't good enough for me. In addition to this I wouldn't mind a little mini bio or profile. Left side of health bar (trade is on the right).

For PvE, I'm hoping for larger parties, though I highly doubt it would happen.

I like to see the option to change name .. be Lv20 have to be Acended and infused are min requirement and of course a hefty fee to change it ..say like 100K. A medalion to wear to signifying ur a Guild Leader.

I'm almost exclusively PvE <"pve is a preparation for pvp" MY ASS>, and a graphics ho, & my wishlist will reflect that. You'll also notice I'm happy with the game and just want MORE. Anyway...
1) Dynamic lighting to effects. I'd like fireballs etc to light up the environment. Should probably be togglable as it would tax weaker systems.
2) High-res textures in towns. At present only your own character has full-res textures in town, everyone else gets downsampled textures, meaning it's hard to get a good look at what other armors really look like. Should, like dynamic lighting, probably be togglable.
3) More customization options. More settings in faces, more armors, more customization options for armor (e.g. ability to change primary AND secondary color).
4) White color.
5) Auction house. (and if ANet takes a percentage of the sales, and offers buy-back on unsold items, it'll be a gold/item sink too)
6) Pre-sear-like area (pre-sear is just so darn pretty, i want more of it).
7) Mounts & vehicles (ships, carts... cableways, air balloons, whatever... could also be interesting in PvP - battle-chariots FTW! )
8) More explorable areas. Big ones. Really, really, big. Like huge. With stuff in them.
9) War. Well, at least skirmishes. Like 32 vs 32 pvp, or large player groups against monsters (e.g. 16-32 players against a charr army).
10) Practice arena in Guild hall and in Pre Searing where you can fight with/against henches. Wouldn't give exp/faction of course, but purely for training. Could even be nonlethal like "Miles servers" in Americas Army Online, where a player who is 'killed' simply sits down and is out of the match. It'd just be to try PvP and test builds.
11) Merchant, rune trader, and perhaps more npc's in guild hall.
12) More character slots, or a dedicated pvp slot. I have four avatars which I play with different groups of people, meaning I have none left for a PvP char.
13) Pubs, with music & dancefloor & games/gambling & & quest-npc's & serving ale, in Ascalon (pre&post sear) & Lions Arch. Probably difficult to do, but would be nice for us RP'ers.
14) More combat modes to random arena. Yeah, random arena is a kind of sideshow, but it's my sideshow, and I'd like more maps. Perhaps a capture-the-flag mode too.
And finally: KUDOS to Anet for an outstanding game and the continuing outstanding support. Pay no mind to the moron whiners infesting this website, you RULE!

Hm.. primarily I would simply like more content and more build diversity.
F.i. dual wielding weapons, one handed hammers, two handed swords and axes, more upgrades for weapons/shields/armor
* switchable skill and attibute sets. Kinda like in wow but only switchable in town. I use different skill sets depending on party and/or goal and/or enemy config and rearanging is not so much of a hassle, but would be a nice addition.
* classes would be nice but also would take a lot of ballancing

1) Dynamic lighting to effects. I'd like fireballs etc to light up the environment. Should probably be togglable as it would tax weaker systems. Yes. 2) High-res textures in towns. At present only your own character has full-res textures in town, everyone else gets downsampled textures, meaning it's hard to get a good look at what other armors really look like. Should, like dynamic lighting, probably be togglable. Yes. For those of us who can handle the system requirements to get the extra eyecandy. 3) More customization options. More settings in faces, more armors, more customization options for armor (e.g. ability to change primary AND secondary color). yes, some faces are downright ugly, alot of armor looks the same outside of UW/FOW (cant remember whcih one has it) and 15k armor. More color options would be nice. 4) White color. Not my personal preference, but yes that would be nice. 5) Auction house. (and if ANet takes a percentage of the sales, and offers buy-back on unsold items, it'll be a gold/item sink too) Really need something like this to help cut down on trade spammers and to help those wanting to buy. MAY possibly prevent some players from gettting scammed since they are buying from a npc (no 10g "accidentally" being put in instead of 10k) 6) Pre-sear-like area (pre-sear is just so darn pretty, i want more of it). Meh, I could live without it, but it is nice looking. 7) Mounts & vehicles (ships, carts... cableways, air balloons, whatever... could also be interesting in PvP - battle-chariots FTW! ) Personally, No. 8) More explorable areas. Big ones. Really, really, big. Like huge. With stuff in them. YES please! But we need quests, motivations, to help get people to get out to these areas. Many people are rushing through the primary areas and they are missing out on some great landscapes and some challenging mobs. Hwoever, unless there is a particular skill/quest that can be obtained from that area, it is usually left unexplored. 9) War. Well, at least skirmishes. Like 32 vs 32 pvp, or large player groups against monsters (e.g. 16-32 players against a charr army). Town raids and the like can be managed. HOH has two or three teams of 8 fighting each other, why not two or three teams in the same instance fighting enemy raids? Could be done. I would agree with this for it would allow people to test out builds and thier own skill.Might help train newer players to compete better in GvG or PVP. 11) Merchant, rune trader, and perhaps more npc's in guild hall. Maybe. 12) More character slots, or a dedicated pvp slot. I have four avatars which I play with different groups of people, meaning I have none left for a PvP char. Could work. I would go for that. 13) Pubs, with music & dancefloor & games/gambling & & quest-npc's & serving ale, in Ascalon (pre&post sear) & Lions Arch. Probably difficult to do, but would be nice for us RP'ers. Im for in town events, fun stuff to do. Dont like the dance floor idea, we get enough of that all over the towns anyway . But gambling on PvP matches, pub/tavern to hang out at, random events like what happened during the beta (fireworks, gnomes, Gwen burning everyone to death, the large firewurms attacking people) would be breath of fresh air to lighten thigs up now and then. 14) More combat modes to random arena. Yeah, random arena is a kind of sideshow, but it's my sideshow, and I'd like more maps. Perhaps a capture-the-flag mode too. I'm don't play Pvp much, but I would agree that they need more maps and variety of what happens on the map. Instead of rushing to one side or to the center like a gladiators arena, why not a more maze like area (makes team stick together or sperate to navigate; more tense since you dont know who you might run into), changing environmental effects (water on map can be poisionous, lava rises and lowers blocking off or revealing new paths, snow maps can have dwarven powder kegs that players can use to cause avalanches to open or close of paths to the teams). And finally: KUDOS to Anet for an outstanding game and the continuing outstanding support. Pay no mind to the moron whiners infesting this website, you RULE! |

It's not the whispers I want to block. The ignore system is fine for that I ignore some people I remove them later I severly doubt they're going to keep me on their list to message me once I unignore them or something. I'm just talking about general morons that I don't want to see talk.

Agreed. How about an option that can be turned on or off to block all PM's from non-guildies and non-friends. Or is that what the (busy) status does? I wish they had an automatic filter - if the person is dumber than the average horse, their messages are automatically blocked. Of course, then every town would seem like a ghost town...
I would like to see a reason, any reason, to go to towns other than to trade. All you ever see in towns are WTS, WTB, running to <very nearby place>, and "Can someone give me X gold?"

They should add minigames in the towns and travel pets like horses or griffins. (Not ranger pets). More races would be cool too.

Only problem here Crossbows fire slower but the bolt travels faster so Maybe extra damage slower fire rate but bolt travels 2x faster.

* more hud functionality:
** Being able to add people to my party without searching for their names or cycling through them.
** being able to send them a message without doing the above.
** sending infos like selected quest or item info to other players like wow has.
** more info about your guild mates from the guild window (like position)
* more guild hall functionality (I think I have been there only once! and I am the leader :-\ )
** guildstorage
** extended message capability
* more item features. iirc currently you can only have a +xx% to [something]. But you can get such a weapon in yak from the get-go (still using 3 of my weapons from there)
Maybe make it that the tougher the monster, the greater chance of additional boni.

1) 1v1 in Guild Hall so you can test out/practice your skills against your fellow guild members, maybe even have the ability to invite people into your guild hall to go against them individually (ex: if someone keeps telling you how uber leet they are you can invite them to your guild hall and tell them if you win they can never use those words again ;0)
2) make an area only accessible through your guild hall to a market/town area that only people with guild halls can get to where it is primarily used for buying and selling items and have merchants there with certain items for sale that you cannot get elsewhere (like take black and silver dye away from all other dye traders and only have available for purchase there, and unique looking armor/weapons that are only available there).
3) Instead of using PvE as precursor to PvP, why not have certain rewards/items for winning in PvP that you can use with your PvE character, for example if you win 10 times in a row each member of your team gets 1 Ectoplasm, and after you kill the other teams last character one random unidentified item drops that goes to one member of your team.

I would like to see more mission variation. For example, it'd be interesting to have missions that requires the group to split into two, each completing an objective. Another possibility is multipart missions, with stops in between at towns that you can't teleport to. That allows for longer missions, as teams can fill in holes left by departed players.

One thing I REALLY want, is an option to do inter-guild PvPs. Just to test out builds etc.

As long as Anet adds as much content as they have stated they will be, I doubt I will be unhappy with what arrives. That being said, I do have a few things that I would like:
1. I really, really like the idea of fighting hordes of char/any other type of monster, in my guild hall. I have no particular interest in rankings/reward systems associated with such an idea, I just like the idea of standing back to back with my guild mates defending our hard earned guild hall.
2. Auction house, yeah been said before and all reasons why covered, nothing more to say.
3. More customisable variety, as in faces, bodys, armour, dyes, etc. Lets make our characters a bit more unique.
Anyway, those are my quick of the top of my head in the midst of work thoughts.

Hmmm... something to think about, truthfully, but my top 3 "additions" to the expansion would be:
1. New classes - this is a VERY important thing to me - new classes would make the game interesting for veterans that have beat the game many times over, for new players intersted in a different style of play, and even for someone like me, who like to freelance, so to speak, trying out different characters and having some fun This, of course, takes into mind a whole plethora of new skills
2. Small details that have been mentioned before, such as different races (specifically for appearance, but with their own characteristics, things would REALLY get interesting) new, useful emotes, like the "/search" one that was suggested, and perhaps some interesting Guild additions.
3. Lastly, and probably the one that's going to get the MOST controversy: A higher level cap: Why create a whole new adventure, a whole new epic, a whole new WORLD, even, for the characters if they may not advance? I know it is an interesting thing to explore and whatnot, but with higher level caps, maybe ones that can only be acessed after a certain mission, the characters could really GAIN something from their new adventures
And as a side note: Apparently, some of your comments are already in the heads of A. Net: The one with the Guild location, ect. in guild window has been mentioned, among quite a few others, in an interview concerning the future of GW quite a while back, I believe

I'd like to see pvp battles that are effectively sieges on a castle or somesuch...basically a guild defends the castle, using catapults, draw bridges and all that good stuff. Two other guilds try and break there way in. Winner stays on to defend the castle awaiting the next two guilds to come and invade. A little bit like a pvp version of Thunderhead Keep. Would be awesome if the defending team each had a Titan pet as well, or maybe a single dragon flying overhead to assist defence.
Well something creative like this anyway in pvp.
