ummm...I can't connect

All i'm getting is a "Connecting..." after i enter my name/pass.

Anyone else?

Ya, I was ingame, tried to switch maps and got the "connecting.." msg, waited a few mins, tried again several times, so tried relogging and can't get back in.

Just Happened to me! Sucks!

I also cannot connect...additionally I was getting a TON of lag...I found it impossible to fight mobs, I had to train them back to base so that the NPCs would kill them.

EDIT: I got the lag about 15 minutes prior and up to the disconnection...Prior to that it was fine.

says connection issues, might be the router or some crap for me...grrrrrrrrrr

Yea I think servers are down. Same thing happened to me.

Does GW have any kind of Server Status page where we can go to see if it's down (like that "other" game does)?

And are there any official forums? Or is this pretty much it?

www.guildwars.com/support isn't loading and thats on the login screen.

i was able to log in, 140 districts in ascalon, then when i tried to go to green hills county i got "connecting"...finally had to close the window.

Maybe a post-release patch...?

On the guild wars fora (like this site) is going the same way, with everybody trying to find out what is going on. I don't believe this site has ever had as many readers as right now.

No, when Guild Wars patches the servers don't go down, it's seamless, the patches are uploaded while you play and the next time you start the game they kick into effect...so whatever this is, it isn't a patch.

LOL they have already released patches you never noticed. For one...the amount of Sand golems outside of Hero's (can't rememeber) in the desert was seriously cut down.

just a server problem and you can't compare this to wow launch kthnxbye.

The devs should be working on getting the server up. From my experience with GW, if a problem occurs they try their best to fix it as fast as they can.
