Just wanted to hear if others have found that the ratio of droppers have increased sharply after the update?

If there's no monk & warrior in the group, you can expect quits now. In four attempts I didn't get to fight once with a full team.

Clearly it's faction farmers, but wth?

I've been dropping more frequently since then due to technical problems, although that's probably just coincidence.

Got a whisper from someone calling me a stupid noob because of it. Neterr=7.

simple solution.

play team arena where you have control over your build.

actually, just testing out theory pvp builds I've spent about 14 hours there this week, and I think only around 4 times have people left before the start of the fight, I'm generally not one for the disorginized pvp that the Competition Arena's bring, but its been kinda cool to test out diffrent combo's and see what other people are using.

I almost never do random arena, but when I do... Im sorry, but if I see a War/mo casting mending on himself, wearing a fiery sword or some other stuff like that.. I may quit. I dont care not having a monk in the team but I just hate playing with clueless ppl.

Strange... I actually have been having more fun in the random arenas lately. I've been in some pretty good groups too, even ones without monks!

Although... every W/Mo I've had on my teams still seems to think that Mending is a good skill.

There seems to be nothing new in the people dropping out of random matches. Sadly it's been happening and will continue to happen. And i really dont think it has anything to do with the update. It really stinks that you couldn't get a steady run, and i wish you luck getting a good team if you want to play random with your pve character. If your playing with a pvp character, i will echo above statements that team arena is the place to go. somewhere where you can organize a group and strategize and complement skills ect. It is rare to see droppers in team arena (some do if you lose, but then they aren't the person you wanted on your team to begin with)
if you do play team and ever need a hand gimme a whisper nessa locke if i'm in TA I'm prolly playing my monk. I'd be happy to group with you a bit to give you a taste of a full group that doesn't have random droppers

and think that they can heal up all the damage with healing hands!

I've definitely increased my random arena playtime because of the faction. The drop-rate, however, seems the same (or even less) than before the update. And as for faction farming.. arena might be great now.. but it's still nothing compared to GvG.

look at the amount of districts, there are more people playing, thusly more morons playing.

I'm in random arena fairly often, and I rarely see people quitting before a round starts. Occasionaly they quit if they die first and aren't rezzed immediatly, or if they realize their team has no chance, but other than that, I really don't see people quitting too often. I have had teammates quit when we got put up against a Korean team. "Crap, Koreans, we lose. [quit]".

We lost.

Random arena is a place to partially test out a build. You never know if your build works or not though because 1) you ahve to have a form of self healing, 2) there are no big spike coordinations.

in my opinion the drop rate is increasing cause a lot of people are corssing over from pve to pvp and they obviuosly dotn like to lose so they just drop

Eh, it happens.. a lot usually. Thankfully you don't have to put too much time into entering the arenas again, and starting over. Fair tradeoff imo.

Random Arena is quite playable... I just played right now, moving to Team Arena, getting 10 or so consecutive wins, and then getting beaten by a good guild group (PuG). Well, it helped that I was monking, but still.

Ive played 11 times today, and not a SINGLE time, did my teammates have res signets.. I wish ANet would slap a perm Res Sig on your char for PvP.. maybe some people will be bright enough to learn to use that wonderful skill.

i'll probably get flamed profusely for this, but mending is a great skill on a warrior.

so many times as warrior with mending, my whole team dies except for me because poisoning/bleeding/hexes etc. whittles all their life down to zero. it's really sad just how easily poison kills most players because they don't have the good sense to put on mending. but me with mending, i don't have that problem at all.
