I think the new IWAY build is pure crap and unblances the game. I was just wondering if anybody knows if GW or Anet has any plans to nerf IWAY avenge you and when it will happen.

IWAY should be nerfed just as much as a domination mesmer. Give me a break. Both have their weaknesses, though you may think they own (and believe me, I don't think IWAY owns) they really have easy weaknesses.
And don't "prepare" for a certain contingency, prepare for your team's strat. If your team does a good job you should have no problem. Ch**t, it's a team game...

those who's teams have problems with IWAY, are the same players who would have trouble beating any decent team using any other build. they think a nerfing of IWAY would help them, but it wouldn't really.

-No matter what the build, ball up vs. IWAY
-Take out the necro (order necro first, then tainted)
-use AOE Damage spells, smite, etc.
-Aegis and Ward vs. Melee are your friends
-Strip enchants, put on the degen, and then get in a healing ball

IWAY probably shouldn't interact with pets, but it's certainly not game breaking.
There are decent iway builds out there, but they are few and far between.. and a lot of the newer players have adopted iway as their own.
There's a few things that can help you: Healing seeds, anti-melee skills, some sort of ranged interuption, some sort of corpse removal.. or adequate interuption to deny use of them, and some form of aoe.
You should notice by reading that list, that almost all builds have these anyway.. so really iway shouldn't be an issue for you. Without even thinking about it, any decent build will already have most to all of those things inherently.
Ball up, use aoe, interupt any aoe they have and profanes, use shadow of fear/aegis/traps/throw dirt, and try to use or deny corpses so you aren't suffered/putrid'd continually. The iway teams generally have very poor aoe if any, don't have martyr, and certainly don't have mass hex removal. Because they try to overload you w/ the warrs, they are weak in those several areas. By balling up, you're increasing your damage, making your seeds/wards/hexes more effective, and you're negating their regen.

I personally play IWAY for fun. But what surprised me yesterday, one of the iway teams has been repeatedly called noobs by some high ranked group (mB I think) only because that iway defeated them.
When our guild plays various builds we are able to defeat iway. It is so easily counterable. Simple healing ball and/or wards, killing or shutdown of necro and that´s it.

Well most teams really don't need to be afraid of general IWAY. Just bring a few anti-warrior stuff and ball up and gg. No matter what they run scrubs will still execute it poorly.
Our IWAY build steamrolls these teams who think they can just bring a couple anti-warrior stuff like 1 copy of soothing or ward v melee and ball up because they get locked at 0 energy in about 10 seconds. It still loses to a strong counter of heavy degen and many copies of anti-warrior hexes. Then again we have yet to see an IWAY team actually run it well, so we have no problem smashing those scrub IWAY stuff with a generic build with really no counters just cause it's so bad.
IWAY is hardly overpowered; just when you're facing a good IWAY build and a team that has high player skill/teamwork, you have to have some of that player skill and teamwork along with enough of the appropriate counters. Both using it and playing against it rely on heavy micromanagement, not getting too clumped but not spreading out too much either.

all you ahve to do is stay together lol. IWAY is only good if the get you seperated so their warriors can do damage. just stay in a group and smite them down.

IWAY was a decent build the first couple of days, people won a lot of matches with it, however to win HoH with it is nearly impossible due to their inability to heal the hero.

I can beat any IWAY warrior easy everyone goes for the pets first all you have to do is kill the warrior and ignore the pet.

Good players can take IWAY about as far as it will go, and they are pretty hard to deal with, as ANY good players are. But those players would be hard to deal with regardless of their build, since they simply PLAY WELL ^^
IWAY won't be nerfed obviously, just like Ward vs Foes won't be even though it's a bother in Arena for my poor kd/as war ;_; since they're not overpowered skills at all. They're bothersome if well used, but that's true of any skill

I look at it as 'noobish' for the following reason:
It's not a build that is designed to win/hold the hall. So you're basically saying.. I wasn't going to get there anyway, so I'm going to run this build that's easy to run that might let me beat teams with a 'gimmick' that they may have not planned for.
So it's more of a fame farming (and not particularly good at it either) build that you're running because you figure you can't win the hall anyway. That sounds noobish to me.
When it first came out, it was blowing people away and you could get to the hall with it, and win.. but those days are over really. You can still get there with a well setup iway team with good players, but there are still other builds far superior for holding it. So if you're a decent player with aspirations of winning/holding the hall.. it's really not a build you want to use.

what's wrong with that? right now there is no point whatsoever to holding the Hall
might as well farm fame, because that has much more point to it than trying to hold the Hall does
see this thread for further info about why holding the Hall is pointless
and if you are not in a r6+ or Guild group anyhow, then chances of holding the Hall are next to none regardless of what build you use
at least IWAY kills newbies with a PUG whereas those other builds may not.

Like every Fotm, it starts to get boring. Most people don't bring counters. A heal ball won't work if that is your only counter.

Eh, I don't care if you didn't get good drops, that doesn't mean I'm going to run an IWAY with bad players who decided that's their best chance to get any fame at all.

N/Me using Feast of Corruption+Arcane Echo and Shadow of Fear/Suffering + A Elementalist of the good ol AoE = A bunch of Dead Wars.Also..make sure to send your wars(If you have em) after the N/Mo or Mo/N's.
It does one hell of a job destroying IWAY.
