ive lately been having this intense lag in gw. and its definetly not just me.
last night, half our team was lagging so badly they couldnt move/use spells. then this morning i made a group which had like 2 people lag out per map, until we got owned with like 3 people and 5 hench.
then i joined a group, and i lagged out.
the kind of lag you get is like this: extremely slow loading time, you use a skill and you just see it pulsating the image, and once i joined a map so late i saw the death of my entire team in fastforward while it was loading up to the present. i didnt get to see too much because i error 10ned before :x
anyone else having this? i heard gw was having problems with their servers...anyway its horribly annoying.

Last night it was servers.
If you ever want to test this in the future go to Start -> Run and enter:
ping www.yahoo.com -t
Keep it running in the background. Basically what this does is constantly monitor your latency with Yahoo. If you ever see it spiking or timing out you know the connection is related your ISP, otherwise it's the server's fault.

Well not had any issues up until a couple of hours ago...
Checked around by asking others if they had the same problem... as I have been having some ISP problems recently... checked the usual connection fine rebooted machine logged in and out of GW.
What I get:
20 second or more lag spikes, both in outposts and when fighting - click on a skill it just flashed and then 10-15 seconds later activates... Highly irritating.
On the plus at least it isn't my connection by the sounds of things. Just wish ANET would sort it out.

After a while you get to distinguish between the lag types and you learn when it's the servers being tinkered with.

Got the lag just now, says connecting for a while @ login, says connecting after character set, loading tombs takes 2mins with the loading screen saying 100% and 0 files remaining, changing to international districts to play with guildies takes years as well, same thing. Once i actually load i can move for about 2 seconds before running into a halt.
The exact same thing is happening to a guildy of mine and its not a ISP problem, we are different ISPS and we can talk freely over vent while this "lag" is happening.
Having said that, the problem seems to have been fixed now, i can now load and move around as normal.
It happened twice like this since the latest patch.

On a side-note, what's up with the blue henchies? Why blue?
