Server Speed Feedback Needed
Silmar Alech
Currently. the site is incredibly slow. I tried to post a message some 15 minutes ago and still have the "loading" message in the the browser. After ~10 minutes, I opened another tab of guru and after a few minutes of loading, I found my message in fact posted. This is not fun.
Kumu Honua
Again slow as of this post. Took 5 minutes to just open this page to post.

Much much much better today 6 pm eastern

10:15am gmt - after 20 mins of on off trying i finally get here , even had several timouts in that time. Are guru using same servers as anet ? ( jk ).

For the last few days the performance is ok. The time to perform an action is constantly about 1-5 seconds.

I keep having to refresh my page as it keeps coming up as "page not found"

All the Curse sites were pretty busted today. I contacted them earlier but it seems like it's only just now beginning to work properly. I'll try to get more answers tomorrow when they're all in the office.

I've been getting a ton of these tonight while posting, logging in, logging into the auctions section, and pming. Didn't have any issues earlier :\

I'm getting a lot of 'The connection was reset while the page was loading' errors. Maybe it's on my side but I'm not noticing problems with other websites.
EDIT: Working fine again now.

I've noticed it being very slow today. Had one occurance of my browser giving me a 'page unreachable' message.

I've noticed some slow load times on pages when browsing as a guest. The top of the page loads and then takes a while (30 sec. or more) to display the content of the top post and beyond while the browser (Firefox) says "Waiting for adserver.mmoguru.com"
I've only seen that when trying to view threads as a guest. Looking at thread lists, etc. and looking at anything while logged in seems fine.
If everything is working as it should be, feel free to ignore this. But I thought the "mmoguru" reference could be a mistaken leftover now that Curse is handling the site.
Cheers,
Luny

Thanks, Luny. I'll look into it.

I'm getting this error message:
The backend servers have temporarily reached capacity.
With less than 1500 users at the moment, that seems ridiculous.

Getting the backend server message again.

Server speed is really slow at the time of this post and pretty much all the time. Many times I will click on a thread and my web browser will sit there like its loading but never load. Constant refreshing sometimes helps, but not always. I recently upgraded my internet speed and all other websites are fast and snappy.

Really slow today. I've gotten a few 'server is at capacity' errors. I get '502 Bad Gateway' when I try to delete posts too.
Kumu Honua
Lots of curse server at capacity messages today.
Marty Silverblade
Agreed. My internet's been dodgy all morning but I've been getting server at capacity errors.
cosyfiep
I get the error...are you sure you have the right www ... ...well, yeah I hit RELOAD not a new page (dumb internet errors).....but, as mentioned, I thought it was just me (since it always was in the past-----)
Darcy
Just got the Servers temporarily at capacity message.
Kumu Honua
Yup. More server issues.
Darcy
I also am getting very, very slow loading of pages with some timeouts, on both gurus.
Stop The Storm
huge dissapointment this new server were on. i dont really know the reasons why guru was sold to curse and i aint really interested, but what i do know is that guru has took 1 huge step backwards these past couple of months.
reliability is non existant

I was getting servers temporarily at capacity pages a couple hours ago. It seems fine again now. Until today, I hadn't had problems loading Guru for a month or so since they finally got whatever was causing the "curse network errors" fixed a while back.
Lord Dagon
site seems to load alot slower(i get things on the bottom like loading "v9/73475347"(not exact numbers but it is similar to that)
Also the auction part of the site seems to be at server capacity for large portions of time. and even when i can get on and try to log in as soon as you log in you get the server capacity error and you don't get logged on :P.
But eh i can't complain(well i can but it wouldnt be fun). We get guru so thats really all that matters. Still tho, i liked it alot better when there wasnt loading capcity erros(never had a single one before we went over to curse).

Did the West Coast have an earthquake, or finally fall into the sea? Very slow server today.
cosyfiep
no just more 'are you sure you are trying the right ww......' perhaps the wiki's issue has bled over to us---

About 50% of the times that I've tried to post today I've gotten a opera messege saying the connection was closed by remote server. Only happens while trying to post. Not spending a significant amount of time on those posts. Anyone else?
Kvinna
Thanks, everyone. I will be sure to pass the information along.

Frequent bouts of pages timing out (reset while connecting to server type things) today. None of them made those Curse error pages at all, and I haven't checked to see if it's some kind of glitch in some region of the internet or something like a DNS fritzing out somewhere.
I just thought I'd mention it here in case it helps.
It's been happening now and then for the past several hours - any Guru pages I try just spin for a while and time out. When I think to check back later, it seems to have cleared up.
I'm in the mid-Atlantic region of the US. I haven't had any such troubles with other websites I've visited today.

Very slow today. Lots of 502 Bad Gateway errors. No problems with any other websites.
