Shield won't do any good with 0 in smiting, but yeah Gladiator's defense would be awesome. In fact for Griffs and Minotaurs it's almost a necessity. It's best to drop strength by 1 and take tactics up to 12, so you can get the full 10 seconds of Gladiator's.
Also, 2 sets of armor is a good investment. Gladiator's armor for physical enemies, Wyvern or Plate for elemental. Makes a big difference over time.
Now go and rake in that cash crop, fellas!

Today's build, boys and girls: The Ripost-a-matic!

This eats Sand Drakes and Sand Wurms alive. I killed 4 Wurms today, unfortunately not a one dropped a Bleached shell. The only thing I would do differently is change Sprint to Sever Artery, so I could put the bleed on non-melee enemies (i.e. Devourers) and get rid of em faster. Ward Against Melee? BAH! Try Ward Against Ass-whuppin, fools!
This is good, though. I hadn't messed with Drakes much since 11/10. I made a ton today off them suckas. Yay!!!

This "Ripost-a-matic" is very nice, kvndoom, because it means you can basically go out of Elona Reach and wipe out the entire zone. Except you didn't mention scarabs — still run from them?
Without Sprint (Sever Artery subbed in), can you get away from the scarabs with normal running? Monsters seem to give up quicker on a buffed, fast get-away. Do the scarabs give up soon enough without Sprint (now that they're supposed to, post 11/10) that you don't aggro new foes while trying to elude them?
Thanks for the nice build information, btw,

I've been doing a little better with scarabs.
No more than 2 Jades at a time I can handle. If you exit Elona and go CCW near the teleporters, there's always 2 groups, one with 1 Jade and 3 Rockeaters, and one with a Scarab Boss (Mesmer or Necro or Monk) and 3 Rockeaters. I clear them out every run now. 1 thing to remember about Jades is that they transfer every condition you give them right back to you. So drop your enchants, or they'll cast Chillbains and then poison you. And don't use Deadly Riposte or Sever Artery with them. Just Gladiator's and Riposte, and heal frequently, and you can take them fairly easily.

why are corrosive spider legs so much more expensive than the rest??

Srry, maybe I'm wrong about this, but how did you get an elite skill for a monk with a warrior primary. I thought you could only cap primary elites.

Nope, you can cap Elites for your secondary as well. In fact, it is possible to unlock all the skills on one character.
Ajantis
1 gloom seed/corrosive spider leg is worth 60g
do the math

Double d'oh! I would never have thought to drop my enchantments on purpose (still not thinking outside the box). And yes, Plague Touch is gonna bleed you right back, so leave that artery alone. Hmmm, will have to practice with this timing. Gotta have the enchants back up for the other fights.
Any problem with getting caught with enchants down? Or, to put it another way, any intersection between a Jade/Rockeater fight and a surprise visit by a wurm? Must learn the zone better, I suppose. Thanks for the further info, kvndoom, Da Kril Cyril Aspect
I use a similar build to the ripost o matic although my build doesn't use watchful spirit or have any att in sword. If you have the right equip you can put 2 sup runes on one for str and one for tactics. at 16 tactics glads does 37 and lasts 11 seconds. also dolyak sig at 15 makes it last as long as it takes to recharge i.e. 20 second cool down and duration. I farm with one knights piece and a major absorb rest plate and I take about 0 dmg on average. the rockshots arne't worth killing so i jog away from them and only the mesmer hydra is an issue because of the degen.
edited for my terrible spelling jlwall
I like hydra farming too. I won't descuss the build here because there is a great thread on it already. If you want to know you'll have to do a bit of reading. Oh and trolls are fun too.
For info on the build: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=32980 ![]() ![]() dont feel no pain
hydra farming ftw my new build can take 12 hydra(13 and i failed) at once (if i manage to get to take on 12 a once) and i have done the exact saem build with all the grawls by port sledge(well i killed all the hammer ones at once but could not do anything to the crones) and i done it one 6 mangho hydra(was dodgy)
still looking for more melee areas to use it , manage to own all the trolls in the caves without my healing going below 90% but drops were no good. i worked it out the other day and have done some hydra farming and just reached my 105th hydra claw i will post this build once i reach 1000 :-) (wont be too long lol not at this rate) tips: it's quick easy and no healing sigit + no smite Ultimate Tanker
hey can you show me your shield you use for farming? And possibly the runes u use?
nihila philos
Yes show us axe/shield and especially runes so we can enjoy this build

That leaves the Warrior stats free to be buffed. No Gladiator's Defense? Yup, that's right. You can substitute Gladiator's for Flourish if you want to, but when I had it, I found I really wasn't using it at all. Against griffs and minotaurs it would be the better Elite, probably. An axe grip of +5 defense would be more universal than a +7 Warding, but I wanted to minimize the fire damage. With Dolyak and WY up, it's down to 16 per meteor / fireball. Quite manageable. No lie, I almost never healed at all, regardless of the size of the group. In fact, I'd probably do better with Endure Pain than heal sig, because 200+ instant HP will get me out of a pinch long enough to finish a tough mob. But Flourish means you can deal some serious pain quickly. Desperation Blow - Cyclone - Flourish - Desperation Blow - Cyclone, all in a few seconds. And you can get in another Cyclone, and by that time Flourish and DB are almost ready again. I call this "Lawnmower" for a reason. You really have to try it and see it to appreciate it. It kills REALLY fast. Especially when DB lands a deep wound or bleeding. 25% of the time it's as good as Eviscerate and doesn't take up an elite spot. Works for me... Of course, you can substitute DB with Power Attack or pretty much any non-adrenaline melee attack. I just like DB because of the possibility of deep wound or bleeding. You made me shit my pants man lol me i have never seen someone have all those skill ponts that much XP and all those things.. nine6nine
If youre not going to sell those items can i have them?
EDIT: when caping sheild of jugment i accidently misread it and capped Signet of Jugdement there both SoJ though arnt they nine6nine
Sorry for double post but tjis thread doesnt deserve to go down i got mobbed by bot 5 hydras and lets just say i sure hope you know a good doctor
