How to make a 55 Health Axe :
Step1, take this quest in Ascalon city
"Scavengers in Old Ascalon" from "Warmaster Tydus"
Step 2, complete the quest, get the reward from "Warmaster Tydus"
Step3, get whatever an axe grip, apply it to the axe. In pic its health+21.
You can get health+30 axe grip for 50k top
Step4 here you go, Dam+15%(vs charr) been replaced by Health Grip. If you apply a Health+30 grip on it, it will be a 55 Health Axe
COST:
Health Axe Grip=50k Top for health+30
My comments:

thats a different axe obviously than the hod one, which is higher dmg and req 8, but if it works the same i should go grab one lol. Thnx for showing this

It's a one handed weapon that adds about +50 health for casters.
I'll be honest, I am very tempted to get a bunch of these and start selling 'em at 200k a pop. The least I can do is perpetually bump this thread so others can see it.

The HoD Axe is real, it used to be craftable at HoD. It was non-max, but not as non-max as this one. Oh yeah, there are other +25 inherent Axes

Yeah because of how rare a HoD axe is i can see why it would be worth it but if you just got the one like posted in this thread you got ripped.
Of course if the seller never said it was a HoD axe but just a +55hp axe then you got what you paid for and were just unfortunate and as the OP said *uninformed*

I just made meself a nice IW axe for 500g!
From that thread it seems like the real HoD axes have Dwarven skins, while the imitation ones have Battlepick skins.

sorry thought this was the real axe but it should have close to same stats and same dwarven skin. This axe you get in another quest along the way to finishing the game. Should say no hp mod just Health 25 at the bottom.

Ok here is how the henge axe works from my understanding. It should only say battleaxe nothing else in the title. On the bottom it should say Health 25. It should have the battleaxe skin on it.
If you add a fortitude mod on it, you can only do it once. If you try to do it twice then the 25 hp will be gone forever. So if you see a battle axe of fortitude that reads Health 25 Health 30 then it was perfectly modded and you got a 55 hp axe.
If it reads something like Health 25 Health 28 and you want to add a 30 hp mod to it it will only read health 30 after you change it. If you try to salvage it, you wont get anything.
I am not sure if you can add a axe haft first then the perfect axe grip to make it perfect without losing the mod. (if no other fortidude mod is present that is). Hope that helps somewhat.

screw it all i might be an idiot but the only reason i bought it is cuz it was sold for 14 ectos to make up for the price of a perf grip read it its closed but still there it might have been real might not have ... i know i will do alot of research before buying or trusting people on here again though

I followed the OP's instructions and just made a 52 health axe wit ha 27 grip I had in storage.
seems like a good weap for monkin ( healers dont generally spend time attacking) or even better for your IW mez...
other than that I cant see a big bonus for too many other chars.. maybe a trap ranger to offset the sup rune loss.. even then a staff is probably a better idea

The Dwarf skin axe is nothing, I just did some experiments on it. health 25 will be replaced by any applied axe grip. It can be obtained from "Minaar's Worry" quest. It is a quest item, dont pay much for it.
