Hi, I'm Qing Guang, and I've been playing for around a year and a half now, rounded up. I'm mainly a PvEer and generally run casters, and my favorite characters are my N/A Gui, my D/E Ebia, and my E/Any Jenna. I've been lurking for a while now and was finally drawn here after realizing I'd finally burned out on KOTOR and its fansite I formerly attended, KFM. I'll probably be found mostly in the art and fiction forums, hiding from metagamers and intense PvP discussions I don't understand yet, and occasionally venturing out to comment on updates and PvE stuff.

May as well actually say hello - so...hi! My name is Alana, but you can call me Verene (my first character I made on my account - name blatantly stolen out of a book). I'm pretty new to Guild Wars - I briefly played with a character on my brother's account about a year ago (I had an E/N in Prophecies but never got very far), but only just bought the games and created my own account about a month ago. Prophecies tends to be too slow to keep my attention, but once I got Factions I got completely and totally addicted, and currently play mostly on that and Nightfall.
Definitely enjoying it and eventually I'll beat one of the campaigns, though I mostly enjoy just messing about right now. And at some point I'll try out PvP though I've never been a fan of that sort of thing.

Im 52, disabled, my kids got me started on MMOs. Prior to that all I did gamewise was play virtual dollhouse with my stooopid sims. I find mmos to be good, cheap entertainment for me.

I'm Nicki, and I've been playing the game since September '05 (I think), with around 3700 hours logged (no, I really don't know what I did with all of them). I took a long break from the game and decided to come back this month, since I have very narrow taste in games and nothing was amusing me as much as Guild Wars did, at least in the PvE department. Going to finish off GWAMM on my elementalist (Winter Chorus) and then pick a new profession to do it all again.

I have been reading the forums almost from the day I started playing GW, which was more than one year ago, and I have found lots of useful information and tips from more experienced players which I then implemented successfully in my playing. I thought that maybe now, it is time not only to read, but also to participate more actively in the forums, share my own experiences and views.
It has become a daily habit to pass by and check the newest threads/posts, I would not log in the game without checking first "what's going on"
I enjoy the diversity of opinions expressed in the forums, I think it is perfectly healthy to have such contrasting views on the topics which interest us most and as far as I have seen so far, most of the people writing here are capable of debating without getting personal and without faming. I really hope, this will not change

Just started playing GW bout 3 weeks ago. Im still trying to figure out which charecter build I wanna concentrate on. But so far, Ive enjoyed the game a lot. I used to play WOW, but couldn't stand a lot of the people on there. I guess the main reason why I like this game cause it is free and you dont have to pay. So I can drop it a couple of days while I do my work shift for the week. But anywho, I hope to have some fun here and make some new friends.

I have been playing GW for a longtime but I am new to this site. Just wanted to introduce myself.
Me and my friends have built a website as well that is a social network for people that play GW. The URL is http://www.ubernerfed.com. It is free to use and tons of fun. You can list your guild or alliance, put up photos, connect with friends and do anything you think you can do on facebook and we are adding alot more including the ability to plan guild and alliance events.
One thing coming in the next week or so on the site is our Uberleague where we will be hosting a league similar to those in basketball and football that people can signup for and get real world prizes. The matches will be structured like Guild Battles and be held once a week.
Other cool things coming soon are a bank feature, the ability to rent Ventrillo Servers, and even a party planning tool and anything else people think they want.
The whole site is run by longtime GW players and we really do listen to our users. Most of these new changes rolling out come from players. And if you like to build things on the web we are days away from being able to release our APPLICATION building system, that will allow users to build there own apps that we will release on our approval (mainly checking for viruses and hacks)
The site is VERY NEW so not that many users. But please feel free to try and tell us how you like it and things you would like to see added. Again the entire site is free and we never plan on charging people to use it. The whole goal was to give players a way to connect and have fun.

I've been playing... three and a bit years now, and it's only just occured to me to join the forum... That says as much as it needs to I guess.
I mostly play my Monk now, although for a long time I played ele. The trouble is, I got so hung up deleting and refining characters plus long stints where I couldn't play on account of not having a computer, or, say, having a baby, that I've never actually finished any of the campaigns. That would be as much from deleting and starting again due to an insignificant issue with the character's appearance as anything. (That and getting 10 slots so I could have one of each, and then going for four survivor titles simultaneously)
I've got a lot further in the last couple of weeks, but having a kid means I only get to play a few hours a week, so a lot of the time I farm rather than start missions that I wont get to finish. That also means I'd be rubbish for groups, coz I might have to run off and deal with my kid.
All in all, I have a few insights on playing that pretty much everyone has probably had and moved on from, but hey. I like the game. I also like my Rit, who is probably my second. If you see a green armoured rit runnning around being a loner, it's probably me.

I've got a lot further in the last couple of weeks, but having a kid means I only get to play a few hours a week, so a lot of the time I farm rather than start missions that I wont get to finish. That also means I'd be rubbish for groups, coz I might have to run off and deal with my kid.
All in all, I have a few insights on playing that pretty much everyone has probably had and moved on from, but hey. I like the game. I also like my Rit, who is probably my second. If you see a green armoured rit runnning around being a loner, it's probably me.
