I bought this game 2 weeks ago and i can't leave it alone. Pretty much what's happening to everybody i suppose.
What's less obvious is that i'm 43, married with 3 kids - 2 of them also GW.

So, I just wondered if there are other players out there that are my age.

Don't be shy guys and post replies to this thread. Maybe we can create a guild together...

Nope, I'm only 21. But you can bet your bottom dollar that I'd be just as addicted if I was your age

My dad though, is almost 60 and is, has been and always will be an avid gamer ever since we got the NES when I was 4 *nostalgia*

Not 43 but I am 41, married with two teenagers. I also am hooked on this game. It is the first online game that I have ever played that I enjoyed. It is nice to not have all those foul mouthed 'elite' punks playing, and it is also nice not having the PKers to deal with. I played City of Heros for a couple of months and it was fun, but it is a lot more fun playing knowing that I am not coughing up $15 a month to play! This game is truely amazing.

Beauty of the games is when you make the women realize its either spend hours on the computer playing games , or hours at the bar spending money .

Oh, and I'm 23, still saving / paying off debts, working in my cubical, with a girlfriend who loves the fact that I have my methods of saving. LoL.

I'm 40, somedays feel more like 140, have 3 kids. My oldest son has a family of his own, my youngest son leaves for the Army on June 30th, and my 16 yr old daughter just started learning to drive (I strongly suggest keeping your pets indoors). I have always been into gaming. I describe myself as an insomniac who grew up in arcades. I too, am addicted to this game. Although I am trying to balance my time between this and beta testing Dungeon Siege 2 right now.

My wife has been extremely understanding about my GuildWars time to date hofully that will continue

On a side note My guild (Furniture Liberation Army) currently comprises of "older" people with lives and as a result we tend to be casual players. If that sounds about right to you post here or send Sam Katha a whisper in game and I'll sign you up. We are not very big yet but we are working on it.

Well, I'll be 40 in a couple of months.
No kids! Just as well though, killing your kids is still considered murder. I hear they restrict internet access in prison so then I couldn't play Guild Wars.

ahh yes... Dungeon Siege 2... how did you become a beta tester?? I played Dungeon Siege, and I loved the game... but then, my friends went and deleted it off of their computers, so I just cried... well, not really, but still...

I Just turned 21 and I race Formula TKM Karts which is very expensive, fortunately my GF is away at uni and playing online games helps save money for racing due to not going out drinking etc. !!!

So hopefully i will be hooked on GW when it arrives tommorrow

34 here, a professional video game tester, so I finish testing other stuff and immediately start playing this. Thankfully, my fiance is also addicted to the game and we play together every night. (Yes, I worded it that way on purpose!) Hahha

So would I. Every now and then I see one of those adds for Westwood College(some game testing place) and it gets my hopes up, only to dash them in the end when they say "Residents of Texas and Massachusetts not applicable."

There is a big difference between testing games and playing games.
When testing you have a set list of things that you need to try and then you try them over and over and over. Testing games for a living sounds like fun but its just a job like any other. Something you do so you can do the things you really want to do.

Balancing GW and life.. what a misnomer.. it should read how to get the wife to understand that I just need to finish one more mission then i'll be to bed.. *sigh*

Guild with old people. We should merge some of the smaller old people guilds out here.. make a super Geritol guild!

22 going to be adicted when i finals are over and i can buy my pick up my pre-order. I'm saving that tip for later! Opps... I guess I pressed the wrong button. Well, I was refering to someones way of saving money and convincing his girl that guild wars was a better alternative to being in a bar wasting money.
