Good point, I forgot to mention that ... best thing to do is kind of give all the nearby gargoyles a little "hug" with your bubble, even if it takes an extra 10-15 seconds.

Also walking back towards Nolani a bit before spiriting helps alot, thanks for the reminder, Fallot

And I use veil for the imagined burden hex, don't really bother removing phantasm with it, as unguent at decent levels of WS will turn the -5 degen to +3 or 4 regen anyhow, and they spam phantasm so much, removing it is just not effective. (also, hex breaker will only block the next hex cast ... and will certainly be recharging more than it's useful)

Mending ftw! I just use that on my ranger to counter Conjure. I'll try using Holy Veil.

all right im new to these candy canes but they sound real nice, but im thinkin of how these could be used and it came to my attention that these could be used in guild battles no? i mean you gain DP there so it would work there right? can anyone confirm this?

Unfortunately, the candy canes can only be used in PvE and not at all in PvP. They would definitely throw off the already teetering balance in PvP

Heh, just did a garg run. I'll post my results in a mo, around 3 chat logs worth of nothing. My luck is pathetic. The times I want weapon mods, I don't get 'em, but if I don't want weapon mods but candy cane shards, I get showered with weapon mods. /vent

Unfortunately? PvP would be pointless and based solely on wealth otherwise.

I want 250 candy cane before i stop farming for it.

As for candy cane shards, i got 7 of them all in 1 and half farming run. Those shards are dropping fast.. for me that is.

I'm going for 250 also...the nolani run seems the best for getting these. i average around 15 skulls and 5 ccs per run. although farming the skeletons outside beacons will get you gold drops every now and then

I have 200 candy canes atm. I would like 500+. I generally get anywhere from 15-20 skulls per run. Never counted how many CC shars I get per run but...I have 70+ in my inv. I cant get rid of them fast enough. I just know that when the celebration is over I am gonna be stuck with a lot of CC shards.

I use a Minion Master. To counter the Conjure Phantasm degen I use Taste of Death.

@Lord Iowerth: I'm assuming you're level 20 since you have an elite. I also farm outside Nolani. Do the whole trip, and take along Poison Arrow (elite) and Kindle Arrow, with Troll. I have 16 WS, 12 Expertise and 8 Marks when I do this.

Poison + Kindle kills Ressurect Gargs in one hit, Flash and Shatter gargs in two hits. I do 130 (p.a) + 50 (k.a) to each one with a max dmg longbow, and rarely need to run troll. If you do the 'full' run (up the stairs, down the other side, over the bridge and back round towards the 'main' bridge) you can easily get 20+ garg skulls in a run. Takes me about 15 - 20 mins to clear them out (around 40 - 50 gargs i'd say)

I run a minion master set up, i'm getting about 17-20 skulls and 25-30 carving and 4-8 CCS a run now.

Sell 4 to me cheap? That's 4 less you need to worry about.

I also farm outside Nolani with a W/MO using mending and all axe skills, mending keeps me going without ever worrying about hp falling below 400hp. While the axe kills res gargs in one hit and others in 2-3 depending on what skill. Doing a standard dmg of 98 which isnt bad.

But I have a close fren with an E/MO and she uses mending for the same regen as me but her fireballs etc take out groups of gargs in one hit! She got around 250 Candy Canes in about half an hour apparently =/

I now have a e/mo up to lv14 for this purpose, not yet able to do it but going to carry on with the power leveling to hopfully get high enough to be effective before the update ends.. anyone know any good spots to power lv from 14 upwards? dont really like the troll cave outside dronks...
