That'd be pretty cool... if, you know, the swords didn't look like garbage. Ugh. -.- They're not too bad from a distance of, I dunno.. a mile away? They look pretty okay then. But up close (i.e. if you're wielding one and using it in battle) they are "teh carp".

I was thinking about this myself... if there was an ebon it would surely be somewhere in the desert (sand elementals, maybe? plenty of those freaks walking around), wonder where a lightning one would come from...? Smoke Phantoms and Grand Drakes are the main lightning enemies I can think of, but they never appear in large groups.

Well it would have to be a 'secret' spot which is DEEP within one area like the IDS.
My first thought for ebon or shocking is that place where there is no nearby towns in the desert.

Don't forget that location up north in Ascalon - Dragon's gullet - where u find ruins of Gods' temples, filled with high level monsters (when you are beginning in the game, and find ur way there by accident). As there are unique items there (collector's plasma sword , ...), there might be some special goodie.

Or perhaps some other bad ass weapon, I like the hammer idea. I personally don't like the look of the dragon swords, sure the Icy Dragon Sword was a change from the norm, but that is just my personal preference. I could be wrong, but I don't think anet would release just one new weapon.

yeah i been thinking that too , i think it has been there the whole time cause i always thought , what the heck was the point of the mineral springs and the cave , casue i had gone to the cave before with henchies, but unluckly did not get a IDS.

Has anyone here ran into the 5 bone dragons between Kryta and the Wilds? I found that place with my ele, but my once my henchies went down, I got owned. Maybe they drop something good...
