I have FoW armor on my female Elementalist bucause it doesn't make her look like a tramp, lol.
Besides, i have perfect weapons on my characters (multiple sets each) and 300k+ left over, what else am I supposed to buy?
Why do People waste Money on 15k or FoW armor?

k wtf is going on!! Instead of "answering" the guys question you guys are talking about what armo looks best!! To answer this it shouldn't take so long. I think that when you have money you can do wut ever you want with it but this guy doesn't answer and this thing is so fricking long!! Seriously, i don't see a problem with droks armor but 15k does look nicer in some cases. But just drop the damn thing!!!

It's all a matter of personal preference. If you like the look of a particular armor better than another, go for it! I don't hear people dissing others for the choices they make in character looks (hair, face, etc.), so why pester them about what they're wearing?
I've got 15k Glads armor on my Female Warrior, except the Hauberk (1.5k). Why? because I like the look of it better. (If the 1.5K knight's armor was any good, she'd still be wearing that.
I'm now saving up (read: EARNING gold) for FoW Armor for my Lady Mesmer. Why? Because female FoW Mesmer armor looks so much better than the "Victoria's Secret" enchanter's armor availiable at the 1.5K & 15k levels.
(There's just something non-sensical about going to battle dressed in a nightie!
)
My Monk is wearing 15k Saintly armor - I don't care how much energy you get with tats, can't stand the look of them My ranger - 1.5k Druid's armor and won't be updating that.
But these are MY characters, they are the ones that I'm playing and look at all the time. What you do with YOUR characters is YOUR business. If what your character looks like bugs me, I'll just rotate the camera so you're not showing on the screen!!! If you like the look of collector's armor and it doesn't detract from you're playing style, go for it, I say!

Why not?
Seriously. Money in Guild Wars is worthless. After playing for a little while you're bound to have mostly all the equipment you want and a storage full of money. What the hell else are you going to spend that money on if not on how your character will look?

money is meant to be spent on something.
people want to have the best things.
people with lots of money buy "the good life".
in GW:
"the good life" = FOW, 15k armor, perfect modded, uber, godly, rarest weapons/shields
Why do People "waste" Money on 15k or FoW?
Because they want to and they can.

Not always a good recipe for getting honest and insightful questions.

I've spend nearly 2 months of my spare time farming/missioning/buying/selling to get me a ranger's FOW armor. Finally got it, and I'm still enjoying every second of it. Not only because other peeps congratulate me on my accomplishment, but because I know I worked damn hard for it, without having to resort to ebay-ing or scamming.
So in my opinion, I havent wasted my money
, but you are free to feel otherwiseQuote:

well that's your opinion rendered invalid pretty damn fast ^^ also 15k armour look better than plain old droks, and FoW armour shits on everything (though I use 15k wanderers handwraps and FoW the rest) |
Well,
getting FoW Armour requires either luck or a heavy investment of time (or real world money) and dedication. You never need it, you only want it. It doesn't require skill except for playing the role right, which is not hard since the AI environment is easily abused (the actual point of gold accumulation). So it's not really suprising seeing "Noobs" in FoW-Armour. It's no sign of an overall experience, but more of a farming-proofed competence. I've seen many fail when the actual situation requires more than protective spirit on yourself.
Most pityful moments are those when people in TOA advertise with their armour to get into a team.
