Disenchantment makes the smites much easier, but obviously you would need to give up something, which for me would be a heal skill.

IIRC, just take a few steps south of where you are (the green target)- there's a path to the west going up that crosses over a fallen tree...

There is no cutscene or exclamation point. You just need to go up to where Princess Salma is in the middle of the camp to activate the dialogue....
