well, as long as I save the .bmp as a 32 bit file and don't open it with any programs other than gimp, I get an alpha channel. but its cool...
@eragon: I managed the alpha-channel with *.bmp and gimp. it looks a bit too much transparent when you open it, but with some tricks you can get...
