+10 is max, and if you are working as a healer, you would hardly want to suffer 50% loss of health just to take advantage of the armor bonus......

The energy bonus is good even though users will suffer -1 energy regen, however the +9 armor (not max) below 50% kills it though: ~5k-ish.

Expert salvage if you need or find the upgrades useful, otherwise merchant.

~10k-ish Don't bother upgrading if you plan to sell, only if you plan to use.
