I'm guessing you may have read it as 15^50 but it is infact 15v50 and that is pretty far from max

very sorry to say but yes it is worth nothing, if it were 28+ it would be worth a few thousand.

umm you know when you hold a an item like a gear your weapons are replaced, so it is really only usefull outside of sorrows.
