..well if this qualifies.. I've created my own guild for the satisfaction of saying, " I've created my
own guild." not for the sheer successfullness.. but to help players. To teach teamwork to all those new players out there who keep paying for runs to Droks.. *sigh* ..and being one of those types who can use the starting guild wars game (Prophecies. not Factions,or expansions.} to do it successfully. I can teach just about anyone.
Either that or I just grew big headed with the amount of platinum I had. And wanted to expand a bit.
All in all I stopped playing almost a year ago it feels like. And now I'm back. Um greetings. It'll be a pleasure seeing all of your digital avatar faces in heros accent again. For thoes who know mine.

Made my own 2man-guild named The Dutch Loners [TDL] over a month ago just because I was tired of the random invites. The only other person in the guild is my wife with whom I play a lot together.
We like our cape not having to dedicate ourself to a guild.....we play for fun :-)

My second account is currently a guild of one. I made it luxon just so that I could AB with friends on either side whenever I wanted, while a guest invite was just a log in away.

I may make a guild of one person to just put a stop to the "join plix" whispers. They are almost, but not quite as inane as the people in this thread who claimed that it was "useless" to play an online game alone.
It's "useless" to play with people who act like their brains are devoid of grey cells, which is 99% of online gaming population. And personally, to avoid advances or innuendo by the male demographic. A girl with lesbian affections in real life doesn't exactly take warmly to those (not saying a straight girl would ;p)
I play Guild Wars as a single-player RPG for the most part, visiting international districts between saving the world. The game being "online" has little to do with how it "should" be played. The only way a game should be played is how you have fun in it. The end.
Thumbs up to all one-person guilds who are that way out of choice.
