Well, you want to be lusty but not over exert it...so try to find a medium, think tasteful nudity if that's what you're going for, but remember, this is an ad, not a playboy centerfold.

"Since this was an ad for undergarments, I made sure I provided a frontal shot so the lingerie can be clearly seen. I also made sure the model(Mortissia) didn't move too much, so it doesnt pull away the attention from the lingerie. To show the winter and holiday theme, I included the Lollipops (they also contrast with the model and her clothing) in the background."
Judge 1: I think you should've cropped the picture with just you and the lollipops, this shot is an ad and I don't think your presence in the picture was strong enough to market the bra/panties.
Judge 2: I like your body position, but I agree, it's kinda pointless to shoot an ad and show so little of yourself and the product you are trying to sale.
Judge 3: Agreed, the cropping was bad, I'm surprised that you didn't catch that, your explanation clearly states that you knew that this was an ad assignment and you did not want to pull attention away from the garments, but you left the window of view so wide that I'm staring at the beautiful aqua tree and the lavender sky.
Perynne Walker
"Models will do anything to look good, even to the point of braving freezing temperatures in tiny undergarments. I wanted to show some of that resilience by having Perynne pose in a more open position, as if daring the cold to get at her while she's trying to look her best."
Judge 1: I like this shot, you look very commanding, the pose is on point, the background choice was nice and wasn't too much of a distraction.
Judge 2: This is a good shot, the cropping is good, your whole body is shown, and the top/bottom pieces are well shown.
Judge 3: Body position looks excellent, I like the background, it's nice to see that you didn't rely on the special Christmas decorations to make your picture "pop". You owned this picture.
I Only Protect You
"I chose the house as background, because I thought it looks very cosy and winterish. It's all decorated, and I can just imagine all sort of players having a party there inside. I make a kind of invite gesture, everyone is welcome! I think this picture fits in a winter catalog, not for it's sexy attitude but for the vosy family times"
Judge 1: I think this would've been and excellent shot, but I'm so mortified that you covered your bra. This is a catalog advertisement for your bra/panties...and you covered the product. Everything else is fine in my opinion, beautiful background, your presence was strong, but you definitely lost points for covering what was suppose to be advertised.
Judge 2: I like the reasoning of expressing a welcoming feel, but I have to agree with the fact that the objective if the assignment wasn't met.
Judge 3: Clearly, the garments aren't properly shown in the picture, it makes this picture pretty pointless.
Raselle Deathblade
"After having just finished building a snowman, an exhausted Raselle pauses to look back at the camera."
Judge 1: This is a pretty good shot, I think it's very engaging and it's cute. It works for catalog material, which most of the time trying to capture models in everyday situations to attract everyday customers.
Judge 2: I like this shot! This proves that Necromancers can be cute and fun as well!
Judge 3: It's a good shot, but the animations coming from the hands are a bit much, and I don't like the random boat in the background.
Burnout Chic
"i think the pose is sexy yet casual enough to not push it too much on the sexy side. the twist is showing off my Else great figure i as well show the sexy undergarments that match the snow so well."
Judge 1: I remember seeing another shot you did that you discarded from submission, the one with the paragon wings. I think that shot was much more interesting than this one. Of course we can't evaluate you on that, so moving away from that, I think this shot is good, but it's not great, the background is kinda lacking, the zone area is a bit of a distraction.
Judge 2: Yeah, the other picture was great, you look a little stiff in this picture, it's not great, not the kind of work we're use to get from you.
Judge 3: I saw that picture too, it's definitely more interesting than this one, I'm not exactly sure why you discarded that one... This picture isn't bad, the pose is nice, but the background was definitely not noteworthy.
Malefic Mistress
"In this shot I wanted Malefic to look like a true Victorias Secret model to go along with the theme of the assignment. I also wanted to show plenty of Wintersday decorations, but I still wanted Malefic to be in the spotlight. This picture shows some of the best Wintersday decorations for the background, but also shows Malefics excellent modeling abilities."
Judge 1: Stunning shot, the bra and panties are nicely shown, the pose is sensual but not sleezy, I really like it.
Judge 2: Good shot, top and bottom pieces are nicely displayed, nice choice background, and I like the movement in the pose.
Judge 3: This is a very good shot, I like the pose, I like how you managed to get a lot of interesting things your background and managed to shine through it all. Your presence in the shot is striking.
Summer Newmentz
"I'm not really sure how to explain the picture besides what was already said in the first two answers. Though looking for spots to take a winter picture, I figured this area would be untouched due to there being much more used and good looking areas, Camp Rankor for example. Using that, Summer's helper found this spot for her to take some nice pictures at. What was sent in for this submission was one of many that Summer and her help took. "
Judge 1: I like the picture, the pose is every engaging, cropping is a little iffy, I think you tried too hard to get all of the mountain in and not focusing on your character and the undergarments.
Judge 2: Your presence is strong, your character definitely come through in your shot.
Judge 3: Not good, not bad, the picture could've been more exciting, right now, it's kinda on the safe side.
Naga Xaviera
"I took this picture in front of a fire to give a nice red glow to not only the present but Naga as well. I think the red goes helps bring out the lingurie in the picture without distorting it too much. The pose she uses also gives off the unwrapped present feeling as well."
Judge 1: The pose looks great, but I don't like the chose background, it's too "cabaret" for my liking.
Judge 2: You aren't dominant on this shot, I think you paid too much attention on the background trying to crop all of the present in rather than trying to market your top/bottom.
Judge 3: A for effort, but F for execution. The lighting is pretty bad, and your presence in the shot isn't strong enough either for such a vibrant background.

"I liked this pose and it seemed to go well with the background. Her leg and body positioning to me were great, not too over board but not too simple, as was her face. She still keeps her sexy but classy look."
Judge 1: I like the background, it matches with your undergarments, but the picture wasn't great.
Judge 2: Not good, not bad, again you're not dominating your picture, you're kinda lost in the background.
Judge 3: If you were going to choose a background that has so much energy radiating from it, I feel that you should match it. Your pose is too simple for such an exuberant background.

"In many photo shoots models are asked to do a falling or movement shot where they have to pose while in motion. This can create very effective shots you wouldn't be able to capture any other way. I've tried to mimic this in my photo and feel that this shot has come out great! I also wanted to get the full body in the shot to show off the lingerie as this would be for a catalog. I also think that reaching for the winterday star with a candy cane backround really gives a nice holiday feel to the shot. "
Judge 1: This is an interesting shot, it's a little to dark, but I think it works, it's looks very heavenly.
Judge 2: The pose is amazing! The picture is very pretty, I love the color scheme, the background is very ethereal.
Judge 3: Very nice, I love the slinky pose, but I think the background choice is a bit poor, you have to realize that you are modeling for the product in this assignment, and although the execution is flawless, I think it's the background is too dark to show off your clothing.
