Did this today.

Was helping guildie with Thirsty River, looked up Elite Skill Caps on guildwiki, noticed it says 'Mantra of Recovery' and instantly think, 'Oh, the 20 second energy regen thing.' I ran prot (horrible idea, we had no healer. But I digress), and brought a skill cap.

First boss, hooray, hes dead, I cap, see the golden letters, click 'Capture.' As soon as I look down onto my skillbar, I relize it ISNT what Im looking for. Back to guildwiki, type in 'mantra,' all the mantra skills pop up.

And lo and behold, MANTRA OF RECALL FTW!!!

Anyway, I capped it from Featherclaw later that night.

Hooray for stupid!

Also, just as a sidethought, Id like to mention it took me 14 tries to beat Nolani with my monk.

made a warrior in sept 2005 got it uber armor and weapons... then on pvp bwe for factions i accidentally deleted him X_X.... depressed i made the exact warrior again rushed it through prophesies getting 15k glads at lvl3... got fissure ascalon boots (before absorbtion armor nerf)... perfect weapons for gvg... grand total i had around 700k worth of items armor and weapons on him... then while getting ready to gvg i accidentally delete him again... at which point i wanted to commit emo suicide...

If your fast at typing you don't think before your typing and if you PvP a lot your used to deleting characters.

So when your in a sleeply state. You type without thinking and click and you don't relieze what you did till later.

Dumbest thing I've ever done is buy 4 steel ingots for 2k ea.

It was late and I was supposed to buy them for 200g ea and i put n the wrong amount.

Dumbest thing I've ever been apart of is go into TA witha Full VIM trapp group and the opposing team was a pure running group, 40 mins later we had 2 of them dead and one of them had quit, then I quit.

1. Created an ugly ele that went on to become my main char
2. When i first started playing i didnt know about using the ctrl button so when everyone else called out stuff like "I'm wielding this and this.." etc. I wondered how the hell do these people type so fast??!! I TYPED "I'm wielding a Fire Wand and a Flame artifact". Complete with proper capitals n punctuations...

Heh good stories here.

I recently made a 55 monk, Ive been farming Talus chute for a couple weeks. This morning as soon as I leave Droks to Talus Chute I see 4 Summit Gnashers mixed in with the Avicara...wtf? So I zone back to Droks....back out again..omg they finally nerfed Talus Chute. So I go to Elonas Reach to see if that had been nerfed as well & I hit up the Alliance channel "WTF they nerfed the Talus Chute". Guildie says I gotta see this, he goes out & says I dont see any Gnashers. I told him I just went out there 4 times & they were there every time. So I decided to go look again & when I brought my map up I noticed the green star in the middle of the field outside Droks.....I was up late last night & totally forgot I enabled the "Seeking The Seer" quest.............I abandoned the quest & all was back to normal :P

This afternoon, I was going to give a guildy some iron ingots so he could craft some new armor, then duel him for some steel ingots he needed, just for the hell of it. I just made a new hammer warrior, but after taking the ingots out of storage I looked at his attributes and realized I'd put the wrong helm on (+1 swordsmanship). So I figure I'll go re-roll him really quick... delete him, make a new one, run to my storage to get ingots for my guildie... and, lo and behold, I'd already taken them out on the character I'd just deleted. This wouldn't be a problem (it was 38 iron ingots, no big deal), but later in the day I rolled a sword warrior and put my req8, 15^50, +7 shelter FDS on him for fun, then deleted him before I took the sword off... I'm still kicking myself.

They must have been shitty warriors. Since they're the hardest targets in the game that should have been easy.

The stupidest thing I ever did was buy mesmer fissure gloves, GFG anet - they look exactly the same as 1.5k mesmer gloves.

I made a pvp vimway warr (shut up) and forgot to put a bow on it, so one of my guildies gave me a gold celestial bow and told me to give it back after awile. I then proceeded to make a rit for our team a few days l8r. I didnt know what got into me but i somehow forgot that the rare and expensive bow was on it, and well, deleted it. He says not to worry bout it, but i know he hates me

Even in my presearing days I held on to everything. So I never lost a black dye to people taking advantage of noobs.
Couple weeks ago, just doing a simple farming run, I got a black and a silver. Yippee, new armor for my necro! So, i waited for Black Dye to cap at 10 plat with the merch (highest I've seen it go) and kept tryin to sell for 9k. No takers! So I started getting flustered. I was dealing with my son and moved to kaineng center to try my luck there.
I typed 'WTS Black Dye 900g'
Becuase it was at 10, so it' worth 9, right? Ugh.
I got a TON of responses. Duh.
I was thrilled.
Until someone said 'You know that's worth 8k, right?'
Well...s---.
Luckily I didn't sell it. But I felt like a total goombah. 'Uh, sorry, typo, I'm actually selling for 9k...'
