Dumbest thing I've done was when I was new, in Pre-Searing, I didn't know black dye was much and found some while I was killing Scales with my Warrior. I applied it to a Armour: 6 shield

Needless to say I was very angry when I found it was 7k at the time.

I got a black dye on my first char in pre, but I knew what it was worth. What I DIDN'T know was sometimes the merchant's sell button lags. Yup, sold it for 1g.

My "noob-on-a mission" moment was the part where you have to let 2 monsters(centaurs?) talk to each other before killing them. The leader drew a big line on the map and said "WAIT". Everyone ok'd and while they were talking I noticed I was running up to them. I had accidentally hit the attack button. The good part was I apoligized and nobody blew up at me. The leader just said "Oh well, let's start over." I figured I'd get kicked, but they kept me. We did it again perfectly.

My most embarrasing time was helping a friend power-level outside Drok's with my wammo. I was bragging about never dying while fighting 12 cave trolls and then we got to them. My health bar went straight down. Tried again and same thing. I forgot to re-adjust and had zero points in healing.

lol ive brought my main character to the deep with no weapon and no attribute points assigned , i also went deep wearing my dragons mask forgetting that my bloody ele head thingy gives my fire magic +4 XD

I was showing GW to a friend of mine and explaining why you can only get to lvl 20, what this means, why this is, and so on. I sold entire 15k glads set to merchant to get extra money for 15k platemail.

It was stupid now that I realize it but I never knew tengu farming would get nerfed.

) yep, wont be helping others out unless they ask for it. learned my lesson!

most embarassing moment was trying to use my ele who had all the points in fire as an air spiker......wanded lots of things that mission!

I've gone into UW with stats set in monks attribs for farming (as an illu mesmer, in a group of 8 back when those still existed).

Salvage instead of identify...all the time. It's not a huge loss any given time, but it adds up quickly to cost at least 100k easily

I was just out farming totem axes when I went to go eat. Running a straight warrior build, I parked somewhere and set my status to away. And forgot to change my weapon set to anything but the vampiric axe. I immediately thought of this thread and decided to share, when I returned to 60% DP.

This happened to a guildie of mine when he was being run down to Droknar's from Beacon's. The runner told the group that he was going to zone outside, and eveyone should show they have their gold already on them. Well, one guy had the bright idea to show his gold by dropping 100K in the snow ... just as the runner zoned back into Beacon's Perch.

The guy didn't stop cursing in all caps for five minutes.

Not too long ago, I had a warrior with 15k armor and some other valuable stuff on him. I was planning on deleting him in a little bit because I had had him for almost a year. So I quickly log in on him to check if I got a minipet yet only to find that I deleted him instead of logging in...

A long while back, as a new player who didn't know anything, saw Ecto being sold for 300g at the materials guy. I wondered what this mysterious 'ecto' was for and went on my merry way. That 300g haunts me still today.

Hmm well I like to run Bip in the deep, what i don't generally tell people is i go as an 85hp bip. This generally sticks me in room 2 if i do it with a pug, room 3 if i do it with the guild. Well me being the smart guy that i am, i bring hp as a back up and support. Heaven forbid I ever notice the little purple triangles that stand for scourge healing on party members in range. Needless to say goodbye bip.

Also while in a pug for the deep I've witnessed firestorm be used constantly...this has to be the second dumbest thing ive seen in the deep. To make things worse is no one knew why the aggro kept coming off of the tanks...

The ultimate warrior nub deeps story! The tank brought shadow form...promptly died to balths aura and wondered how he died with shadow form on.

Ouch, even though 450 ecto is an arse load, that's a pretty big drop off from 900.

probably the most stupid thing ive done was to paint my pre searing collectors boots in black, i didnt realise how expensive the dye was...when i found it out i deleted the character caise i was soo pissed
i also tried to finish missions with henches and being lvl 10 with the starters armor cause i didnt realise i could buy another better one lol

For a few hours i believed somebody that they were an Echo mending wammo..... yeah then all of a sudden a few hours later i realised he was joking. I also normal salvaged a superior vigor and used a sword on an axe warrior for a while then noticed why i couldnt use my skills. I guess that reminded me not to play Guild Wars while being drunk.

I have a few goose eggs to present to the crowd.

I didn't play guild wars for about 8 months after beating prophecies.

Bought Factions this july, starting playing and was thinking what is this stupid birthday present they gave me.

Opened it up and was like WTF is a mini-hydra and what do you do with it.

Not funny yet, but wait. I was fascinated with playing as an assassin so I make a character and rush through to get to Kaiteng Center. Saw someone selling Shreader's Talon's (Green) and was like Woww i won't some. (IM NOOBISH ALL OVER AGAIN).

I traded my mini hydra for Stupid Shreader's Talon's, what 2k at most.

#2 Even worse than that one. Before I started really paying attention to trade values, i got a 'zealous dagger tang' from a salvage on some gold hooked daggers. I get frustrated selling mod items and was like

"The first 1k gets this zealous dagger tang im selling"
The funny part no one answered. Go to new district and 20 people flooded me. Stupid me still sold them for 1k.

I have lost almost 50k or more because of reverting back to being a NOOB for not playing for so long.

Please sympathize with me as I do not know what I do.

all nice and funny stuff, here's mine

i was in the Tyria (Prophecies) chest running at the Port Sledge for a bit and a friend need help with a quest. so i run over to the Crystal Desert to swap to my secondary back to a monk. After the quest and he thanks me i head over back to the Crystal desert to swap my secondary to an Assassin (yes i run W/A and dang proud of it) and keep changing town to town looking for the Assassin NPC.

After about the 5th town warp i realized where the NPC for an Assassin is........

-selling 16 ectos to the merchant
-giving away a gold fellblade to someone I got in a fight with 2 days later
-Dye-ing my 1,5K Ranger Druids armor black (it's barely visable)
-Trying to get a +30 HP mod off a 14>50% Celestial Sword (I got steel -_-')
-Spending 450K at Guild Hall Traders (the guild died a few weeks later -_-)
-Making a new guild (I still own it though, but it sucks ^^')
-Buying an Icy Dragon Sword for 80K
-Buying a Victo's Blade for 60K
-Buying a Stinger for 25K
-Deleting my I-monk just because the I didn't like the name

I killed the assassin boss for "the revolt of the Dredges", reported in and then realized "DOH, I wanted to cap that guy!" I even bought a sig for him.
