Just recently I withdrew all of the gold I had (must've been 18k or so) to buy a rune on my PvP character. Then I went and did some RA and I logged off. Then a little while later I delete the guy....

Since I use to switch builds very often, I once in a while mess the 4 steps up:
Switch skills, sup rune, weapons and attributes. But a low level Flesh Golem is a real cuttie!
Of course, I have also merched/salvaged a lot good stuff as well, like selling ectos for 100g and I once got a Chaos axe (+14>50%, req. 12, 20/20, +20% enchant). I thought the requirement were too high for it to be worth anything, so I salvaged it for....7 wood.

Lesson learned: Don't salvage; sell the whole darn item and tell the sucker that buys it to salvage himself.
(Of course, this all was offset when I acquired a gold max shortbow in the same day, 5/1 lifestealing, +1 Marksmanship 20%. XD)

I need to slow down in PVP Tab-spaced the next enemy and it was a flesh golem....of course before I had time to react I already wasted my starting/long recharge spell on it.
I also had a smiliar dye selling noobness...when I first started the game I didn't know wth "dyes" were for so in pre I sold all the dyes I found to the merchant....at least I'm glad I don't remember what colors they were.

I haven't really done anything overly stupid. On my ranger I used to always do b/p groups for Tombs and Oro and shiz. But I'd go out and cap or do a mission, and change up my build. I know I've forgotten the "pet" part of barrage/pet at least a dozen times. And once I went in with my atts for trapper, aka 0 in marksmanship.

i think its just a gamble we all have to take at some point... perfect sundering or 20 planks of wood... hmmm....
my favorite stupid mistake is :
signing in and jumping into a Random Arena match without remembering that i was changing around skills and stuff last time i logged, that I had a mostly empty skillbar and attributes of zero for skills i did have on...
ive done that a couple times over the past year lol...

Back when the game first came out, and I first started playing, I got completely hammered and got in game. I met up with a couple of friends in Post-Searing, and started a party to do Frontier Gate Fugitives. We get halfway through and I started going the wrong way completely. I stopped doing my job, and only attacked what I wanted. After we cleared half of the area, my friends finally asked if I knew where I was, and I had to admit I was drunk, had no ideah where I was, or what we had originally set out to do, and that the only reason I had gone that way was because "the grawl pissed me off." Later they told me they all knew what was going on, and just wanted to see how long I would go before admitting I had no ideah what was going on.
Another time I got drunk, logged on, joined a party to do one of the primary quests in the jungle, paid no attention to planning, and then pulled a Leroy Jenkins. I single handedly aggroed about 10 jungle trolls, and a few Lion Guards. So, we all mapped and tried again.
Just remember - that dumb wammo (or any other char) might not be dumb... just bombed out of his/her skull. People do still get messed up and play video games y'know.

On my first character I was trying to get to the shiverpeaks(before I discovered coops) a warrior was willing to help me. He was a W/Mo20 and a really great guy. He fought his way through all the char to Yak's Bend constantly spamming Watch Yourself! The noob that I(E/R) was didn't know any warrior skills and I never heard of a shout. So all the way to Yak's Bend from Piken I kept saying 'I will!' as a reaction to his shout. I still wonder why he didn't say anything...

Over 14 months of staring at a name that sounds like a five year old thought it up (and thats probably being derogatory to five year olds). Sad part is I'm really attached to the character (shes my main one), and can't bear to delete and restart her.

I don't have any bad dye stories, I didn't get my first black dye till I had 1,100 hours in. I think everyone has "I brought the wrong skill" stories and forgetful attribute stories. I do have a blind story though:
Just 2 days ago I was finally getting to map the part of THK that I needed. A couple guildies needed it too. So, we got started. Had to use a different strategy than normal because our normal gate guarding routine needs 2 warriors, so we camped the king. Everything went fine, we finished the mission and bonus. We agreed to go explore and meet back at the king when we were done.
So, I was edge walking my merry way to the cave and came across that group of 4 jade armors/bows on the way. Well, the 5 of us that were exploring started to dispatch them real quick. I got hit with spectral agony, I actually had a moment to wonder why the hell it was hurting me so much since I was infused. Then I notice I was wearing my new Kurzick shirt and pants, the other 3 pieces were infused thank goodness! I still haven't gotten around to getting it infused too, lol. My guildies were amazed! Since that was the only time I had been hit with spectral agony for the entire mission!

just yesterday, when I rushed a character out of pre searing, I've done the skill point quest, some skill quests, and the moa quest for the cryst looking sword. then I went to the merchant to sell stuff, and seeing the sword in the sell window, I was thinking "oh careful, dont wanna sell that! hmmmm. best idea is to equip it. how do I do that? oh yeah, double click!"

the dumbest thing i've ever done, is forgetting gladiator's defense when farming on trols, euhm... forgot strength shield when i was using strength/axe build so i took a tactics shield, euhm... forgot to remove my tank skils on my warrior, for ele i forgot arcane echo for meteor shower when i was in a party for khepet's refuge
