Dude, this is nowhere NEAR the same thing. Seeing if someone is below 50% or not has nothing to do with personal skill. Thats something we can already tell to a degree. Its a visual enhancement for the visually impaired. Its not like we are not asking to see someones energy bar.

This is a simple request I cant believe they havent implemented yet. They add lucky points to chest keys nearly overnight but something as simple as changing a graphic slightly, they havent done yet?

If you have 200 total HP or something, and it's at 100, it's displayed as 50% eh?

This'd be nice. I can tell when I'm getting close, but unless I'm playing as Laura and Faithful Intervention kicks in, I generally don't know when I'm below 50% until I'm WAY below. Just a little mark would be really helpful, especially considering all those mods that kick in/shut off depending on whether or not you have half your health.

So why not help the starters by adding the feature? It already exists as a mod (or so I think), so why not just make it so everyone has access to it?

Plus, given a set of health bars 45-55%, I can say with great confidence that I won't be able to always tell if the target is below 50% or not. Maybe I suck, but oh well

Sometimes something looks under 50% and it isn't so you just threw away your Reapers Sweep or Merciless Spear or (insert other 50% hp skill here).

It's not always clear and you might miss a hit by 1%, unless you want to wait until the target is obviously WAY below 50%, like 1/3 health or something like that.

I like this idea. How about adding marks at 25% and 75%... it would be nice to see this on enemies too.
It would also be kind of neat to have an option that allowed a player to set the % at which monks would start healing. (Example: While set at 50%, my monk wouldn't heal me, or anyone else until I dropped below 50%.) I think this would really improve energy issues that hero monks can sometimes have. I would really like it if 1 of my monks started healing right out of the gate and another monk was a bit more conservative and selective.

Man I guess if your around long enough shtuff comes full circle. this is an OLD discussion. There is a work around to this if you yous a TXTMOD, and yes, it has been ok'd to use by anet. I personally use the Dark Glass UI because it has the 25%, 50%, 75% lines and it also has agro radius for spirits etc on the mini map.

I have never had an issue with the Dark Glass, even if you did, all you need to do is reload the client. I am sure there are more txtmods out there but these have been used by hundres of players without issue.

There is a problem with things like Endure Pain and Deep Wound.

Under effects that decrease or increase maximum Health, the 50% is no longer in the middle of the Health bar.

Either they fix that, of they add a little triangle appearing and moving around the Health bar when the 50% is not in the middle.

wow, cant believe it took until page 8 for someone to bring up deep wound. The 50% mark would have to shift based on adjustments that effect maximum health, and that would force the game to load a new graphic every time. Seems kind of like a lot of work for something with such little impact.

Sure, it's frustrating when it doesn't work, or when you're relying on the energy from SolS and it turns out they weren't quite at half health, but just wait a hair longer. I just use it when my necro hero does...he seems know know when 50% is every time, without fail.

and the 15^50% weapons are idiot-proof. They do their extra damage on their own, you don't need to use a skill or time anything out to activate it. It just starts doing more damage as the condition is met. I think its a great idea, but too much to implement for too small of an issue.

I'd support something that shows where the halfway point is when an enemy uses health boosts and the like, those skew it otherwise.
