Has anyone had any luck picking one up or seen it on the shelves at KMart or something?
EB are being pretty useless on this issue. They've said it comes if you preorder it, but we won't get it until the full version is out *if* they happen to get any copies of it at all.

Considering it doesn't go on sale til tomorrow, I doubt anyone has had any luck picking one up anywhere. But I believe that EBgames was the only retailer Alex listed as carrying the bonus pack in Australia, but you should check his list again. And they have Kmart in Australia? strange......

Oh, lol, those crazy time zones. Well as far as I've heard only EBgames is carrying it and if they say you don't get the bonus pack til the retail version comes in, well they're jerks but not much you can do about it. Maybe try calling a different EBgames unless you don't feel like driving that far.

I got the same reply from EB in Adelaide, 1 store in Modbury told me we get it free today, but it's not in yet (The store clerk is a GW fan). EB in Elizabeth keeps telling me that we only get the BP with the CE on the 26th October (he is not a GW fan BTW). Both stores have no BP in the shop computer as it was removed 2 days ago so not sure what is going on. EB seems to have a lot of confusion in South Australia.

Just tried in Canberra via phone.. apparently, they have no idea when they're getting it, but it's definatly not there today (15th)

EB in New Zealand are supposed to get them too, in fact, they have posters up stating the fact - but the staff have no idea what it is, so much so that I had to point out the poster clearly illustrating the fact that I'm supposed to get one of these packs.
Will roll by again today and see if they've been enlightened with information somehow.

They will offer the BP 10 days before the release date IF they get them in.
And I was lucky enough to get a local Store manager to sign an oath of sorts, saying that I pre-oreded the CE and will still get a BP. Even if the CE isn't release the same day as SE (standard edition).
Alex not liking what I'm hearing from Aussie players. (I'm still hopeful... somewhat)

now on topic, i preordered last week and the guys at EB games (and just phoned them then) the guy said they have no idea for the BP release date in Oz, but they contact preorderers via phone when it is instore.
So definitely not 15th for us, but hey we represent such a minute fraction of the market that we are probably not that high on the agenda when it comes to meeting advertised release dates.

FYI everyone, I rang my EB Games store [Queens Plaza, Brisbane City] just then and the employee [a GW fan =P] told me they should be receiving the Pre-Realease Packs in around 5 days.

I just came back from EB in Wollongong(shellharbour) and all I got was a dumb and confused look from the staff when i ask about the pack.They were willing to pre order the full game for me which I had already done.

Seems there are conflicting reports from various EB outlets across the country, some stores are giving a fair idea, and others (including my local store) seem to be vague and uninformed. *crosses fingers*

NCSoft seem confident Australia will be getting them, but it's EB, take it with a pinch of salt. Likely, you'll be lucky to find an EB that actually knows what Guild Wars is.

Wow, seems like a lot of people are jumping the same hoops as they put us through last time. I know for a fact that teh Brisbane store has the packs, and NOT just for display purposes this time. They've had them for two days, so why other city stores haven't got them is beyond me.

Has anyone got theirs yet? We went to EB and pre-ordered out games but they said they had none in stock yet and that they would call when they came in. Problem is EB has always stuffed up this sort of thing so we don't really trust them (my boyf preordered Fear Directors Edition for the bonus stuff and they gave them out to people who bought the ordinary edition so he didn't get one). Plus they didn't have any idea what we were talking about, so that's a confidence builder!
So any Aussies got theirs? Or any advice/stories etc.

I think there is already a thread in here somewhere on this, but to answer your question as soon as possible, SOME Aussie stores already have the pre-order packs. I don't know why some do and some don't, but apparently anything outside Brisbane/Sydney/Melborne has to "order them in", that includes those who are using suburban stores.
My advice: If you live close enough to a city store with them, order it there. Otherwise, due to my normal internet retail Gameplay.co.uk changing their policy on overseas shipping, you will have no choice but to wait till it is released because there are no other stores that will ship games here, that I am aware of.
If someone knows of another online store that happily ships games to Australia, please share.

I've taken the plunge and placed a pre-order for the CE with my local EB store. For the record I do not trust them. My last order (over 3 years ago now) went horribly wrong. As my local store is not a city store, they do not have the pre-order packs yet, but apparently they will call me when they get them. As a side note, the guy who served me was the store manager and had NO IDEA how to use their pre-order system... Watch this space to see how monumentally they screw my order up this time...

I honestly don't think I'll get my pre-order package, EB NZ is run by a bunch of idiots, and I say that from experience having worked for them for 2 years. I inquired at another store RE the pack and the STORE MANAGER said he didn't know that pre-order customers get them, he thought the poster detailing the fact was just a simple Nightfall promo poster.
